Not really, I've booked it for a lot of passengers and I can tell you that the traveling experience is World Class, they even deployed a Dreamliner to Lagos.
it's one of the top 3 airline in the world.

Visa alert. Let me share my story in the spirit of giving back. I applied with my daughter
First time applying to the US
we applied for a visa at the beginning of 2022 and got a date in 2023. We initially wanted to go on summer vacation, but had to change our plans and applied to the UK, got our visa, went on vacation and came back.

Before we went to the uk, dates got freed up due to the interview waiver and we got a date for late 2022. I did all the booking by myself, with no agent and God by my side.

A month to the interview date, we filled a new DS 160 form, snapped new photographs, and updated it on my appointment page, i had difficulty filling the form, it just kept logging me out and i also had difficulty adding the newly completed DS160 form for my daughter, i had to call the embassy and they helped me to update it. A few weeks to the interview date, our appointment was moved but thank God the change in date was for just about a week.

I printed our confirmation pages, hard copies of our passport photographs and our payment receipt. Our appointment was supposed to be for 11.00am but we got to Walter carrington at about 6.30am, joined the queue, we had to drop our bags, phones in the car, no smart watches allowed, no sharp objects, no keys.

After about an hour on the queue we were ushered into the interview building, I did my biometrics and joined the queue for the interview. Blue papers were just flying about. All through only one white paper and the man is a frequent traveler.

Some of you guys make things hard for
Yourself unnecessarily. Because tell my why you’re applying for schengen visa through Luxembourg that’s not among even top 10 places to visit in Europe. It’s not routine place for tourist, most especially Africans. How do you want to explain to them that you’re only going there for tourism? Something you will follow others and apply to France or Spain that dishes out visa often… then travel to all these places you have mentioned. Goodluck anyway.

Who told you Luxembourg is not a tourist destination and also do you even know financial and social status? he should go ahead with his plan if he has nothing to hide.

Just thought to share my IW renewal timelines:

So, i submitted passport for renewal on Nov 18, 2022
Visa Issued: Dec 12, 2022

Documents summitted:
1. 2 international passports (old with last visa and new one).
2. DS 160 confirmation page.
3. Passport photo.

Also, go with your 1. Appointment confirmation printed out and 2. gtb receipt of payment (optional).

You've made the right decision, if your application to those EU countries were successful, I'll advise you applied for Japanese visa as well...

She however overstayed during Covid year-2020 because there were no flights as all flights were cancelled, I stated that when I was filling her DS160.
Could that be the reason they said she doesn’t qualify for IW

My main purpose of going there is to buy cars myself, which will save me more money than online, so may be I should eradicates ‘inspect’ and we are talking about 8-10 cars. Going there to buy it myself will save my close to $10k than buying it online, which is enough to cover the 10-14 days trip. So is not to really inspect tho

At this stage, you don't need us since you've already made up your mind, remember anything can happen, so give it a try, we learn everyday.

I did not book my appointment through CGI there's a site they used to book appointment in UAE but I read something like cancel an appointment before you can be able to edit

I dont think that I will like to cancel my appointment that is coming up in less than one month then wait for almost a year for new appointment date...

Please is it possible to correct the mistake and go along with the old and new confirmation page without touching the appointment website

I'm not aware you're trying to apply from UAE and you will need to call them to assist you. This platform is for Nigerian applicant.

I'm not one of the consular or work at the embassy but I've spent more than 8 years on this thread and I can tell you from experience that, your reason for traveling to U.S is quite weak for a first time traveler, as a first time traveler, you have no business going near the embassy except in exceptional cases, you need quality travel history, you can actually stay behind and be sending cars to Nigeria.

You shouldn't cancel twice oooo... but if you can afford the visa fees, you're free to go ahead.

Take your time to go through the previous thread especially Part 2 and 3 because from experience they usually deny a lot of vehicle dealers probably because you're basically going to U.S to work as a vehicle inspector there by taking the job from a U.S citizen.

No it won't affect your interview date and CGI is the website you use in getting appointment date.

Yes you can correct it, just retrieve the old form and start a new application, almost 90% of your info would be on the new form and remember to change the old ds160 number in your cgi profile.

Thank God she gave you a clue for your refusal. Try to apply for UK or EU visa, go on trips in Europe, that should convince the American embassy and please don't reapply again for now.

POE was a breeze!

Officer: “Morning sir. Please pass your passport to me. Could you please remove your cap?”

Me: Quickly removed my Panama cap.

Officer: “Do you have any liquor in your bag?”

Me: “Not at all”

Officer: “You can go ahead.” Returned my passport to me.

Now the holiday begins!!!

You need to submit your visa first, after issuance of visa, I think your new born is qualified automatically, all you need to do is pay the baby visa fees, fill the Ds160 form and open profile/scheduling page for the baby and send a mail from the profile/scheduling account to U.S embassy, they will take it up from there.

IAD is good for Nigerians, Ethiopian and Africans generally because they received more than 2 daily flight from African. Processing takes time, secondary screening is not a lot for Africans.

I’ve done that it’s still same issue. I can even get passed the first page to select location. I choose Lagos Nigeria and it reloads and kicks me out. Sometimes it just doesn’t bring the list of countries/locations for me to choose from so I’m stuck.

Yes. It was extended to cover 48months so even if your last visa expired around Dec 2018, you should be eligible.

However do note that you must have paid your visa fees by May 2022 to enjoy the interview waiver service.

A few people have opined that they were able to get dates and confirmation even with MRV receipts made after this time so feel free to confirm this when you're scheduling your date.

I paid my visa fees on 25th Nov, got Dropbox submission date first week in December and visa issued within a week of submission.

An agent got me an interview date.
Now I noticed that my name on CGI is
Surname and First name only.

But on my ds160 form and passport, I have three names: Surname, First name and middle name.

It's stated on the page that one should put the the first and middle names inside the first name field. Kindly see attached.

I asked him to change as I couldn't do so on my end.

He says it's not a challenge. That I shouldn't worry.

But I'm concerned. Kindly advise please.

Your name on DS160 and International Passport must match, that should be your concern. The CGI profile encourage just 2 names.
