Mancala: One big takeaway from this covid19 situation that everyone should pay heed to is travel insurance to include medical. I will personally never travel without it again. I travel a lot and only take out insurance when my family is with me, but never when I'm alone. Henceforth, I will always sign up. Does anyone know if this is a requirement for visitors to the U.S.? I may need to start insisting that anyone visiting with me needs to have medical insurance I don't think so but it's important for Schgeng visa. |

rago: It was in February-early March, I was due to travel to a University in DC for a symposium in May. Book a flight now. Book one now. Hold it down. The price will go higher blah blah blah. I looked at the dynamics myself at the time. I asked plenty of questions--endlessly.
I was not wrong. Considered many things in my own endI held down with flight booking. Boom... crisis came to the fore. Best decision ever. Used my money for the family. Went shopping. Stocked the house hahahah. Owo flight ma ti burn niyen.
U want to travel, no dey rush rush. Whether na application, interview, and flight things, be cool. Be very cool. Take your time. Seek for advice. But use ur smarts and listen to your instincts.
If you are destined to travel, u go travel. U will travel. No hurries. Peace out!
Take your time #takeyourtime What happened was unprecedented... You can't say Billions of people are wrong for planning ahead considering flight ticket around summer is always expensive. What happened was never envisage and almost all Airline in the world has a plan for their customer, no money is lost. |

rago: Nigerians should consider planning holidaying and vacationing activities in other countries other than the USA! This pandemic is clearly changing the world landscape in very significant, historic ways. It's going to take, what, 2-3 years before everything relaxes to normal.
Boeing, Jetblue, and other major international airlines are shedding jobs badly. I call it economic hemorrhage. Cash affects every facet of life. Air fare will spike up in outlandish level that ordinary folks like you and I won't be able to afford to visit Canada and be back in a fortnight. Companies and their employees will consider 'travel significance' and its impact on their business objectives. VOs will cut back on visa issuance and would obviously not consider B2 something consequential. At least for the time being.
People should explore other vacation spots biko Enjoy. I have to be honest with you, Flight would be cheaper because people are scared to travel by plane, one way or the other U.S work force has reduce a bit, U.S would open up first before every other country follow suit, with low oil price I believe everything would work out just fine before the November. |

One oga that had his second child in US in 2010 was being grilled as to why he and his wife didn't declare at the interview that they were going to have a baby. Oga said they didn't ask them na, besides he has renewed visa several times before now. They still refused Niiiicccceeee |

rago: "Do not bother with the children bickering on this thread..."
Look at that statement yourself again and again and conclude whether, in practical fact, those comments are effective enough to help you do your "best to avoid this kind of situation next time." They are inflammatory and disrespectful and aren't the appropriate strategies to further de-escalate an already-dying situation by a Group Leader. Sir, it is rude, and they might just cause further unending problems. I don't know about others, but I am going to pretend you never said that. I have tremendous respect for you. But we all deserve to be treated the same.
Omobendel came in and obviously did a good job to de-escalate the brouhaha. Then, here, look at your own contribution.
"Best time to bond with your family, why bother with someone on a faceless forum.
It sure bothered you, you had to respond pretty badly. Understandably, a poor judgment I must admit, sir.
Enjoy yourself, sir, the only true family man on the VISA Section of Nairaland. I won't trade words with you, congrats on your new found fame, I've done enough to settle this matter but you won't remember that, my advice to you is to take it easy, you don't need this, life is deeper than this. God bless you always. N.B. Please respect yourself because I did not involve my family in your matter, please respect that. |

OmoBendel24: One thing I strongly believe is that Afonja is likely here in the midst with another moniker, the quarrel here is just too much, he's the major one with so much energy to dissipate like this.
I also know that he definitely can't be groovychick, every other person quarrelling here these past few pages could pass for a "suspect" per Afonja new moniker, including @Rago.
I think Rago lost the plot the moment he didn't know to concentrate his energy on getting down with Afonja specifically. The goodwill he enjoyed here at some point was as a result of his standing up against the "bully" Afonja, almost nothing else. Learn to exit the stage when the ovation is loudest.
Demicoker used to be a gentle person before oh! I saw that idiotic attack on the Canada Visit Visa thread, I typed a response to him already but just decided to let go on the day, I understand the pains that caused you and I blame you not for all you have been doing to get back at him. Downside is that I feel you long ought to have relaxed yourself and gather firepower for when he comes back from wherever, you are wasting "bullets" on wrong targets, they may even end up no longer sympathising with you when the day comes, don't lose your goodwill.
@all, una happy "quarantine" oh! I really do hope we all, especially our leaders, learn this time around, I really do hope. This may signal the beginning of our doing things right in and for Nigeria, I mean by the time we survive this period, else I will conclude that these leaders are the real "demons", walahi! Nigeria may be great again it seems now on the surface....
May we all be protected of the Most High God, we will come out victorious and much more bettered surely! Regards If I can like your message twice I would. Bro do not bother with the children bickering on this thread, it shall pass soon and we will do our best to avoid this kind of situation next time. This is the best time to bond with my family, why bother with someone on a faceless forum. |

This thread is for people who wish to learn, apply for U.S non immigrant visa and those with U.S visa, this is like a class for a lot of people, how can some people come and try to rubbish a 5-6 years hard work and sweat of someone people because of fragile ego. |

987Real: Reapply for what? There is more to life than a B1/B2 visa. B1/B2 visa is not my goal in life or an achievement to me. I am beyond that level. I have gotten B1/B2 visa multiple times so it is not a big deal. I will repeat it again United States of America is the most overrated country on earth. I used to think the United States of America was a perfect place like it is portrayed on T.V until I arrived in Queens, New York City and found homeless people scattered all over the place. Major cities (New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C, and Baltimore) are infested with homeless people and that’s what I hate the most about America. It is all a hype. We know and we're okay with it. Every Nation try to hype the good about them. No country is perfect and believing U.S is perfect says so much about you. |
