OmoBendel24: Interview date is already too close for such from what can be seen on the embassy's home page or so....
My suggestion is that you should first try updating your profile by yourself first, then send new appointment confirmation to yourself and see if it carries the new number. If it does, I think that normally signals you are good to go (can't remember what I read about this situation again here sha). This isn't a rock solid advice from me as before please
Call them too to see if your profile update at your end can be concretized at their end too. You barely have any time left to do all these. Whew!
Is this change minor or major if one may ask? it will not work.... They have a list with DS160 number for the next day interview so if his appointment page carries the new ds160 code, it will be different from the one they have at the embassy. |

therealprinceuk: After much considerations, I've decided not to edit anything on my already submitted application form because it may cause me to schedule another appointment date which I don't want. I clicked on the option to CREATE A NEW APPLICATION, the system brought a fresh Application ID, I had to close the window right away because I don't want to cause any problems or delays with my application.
I will stick with Hilton Hotel which I stated in my application, i am sure they won't ask for proof of hotel reservation since they don't encourage applicants to pay for hotel/airfare till they receive their visa. Correct me if am wrong.
The only thing I want right now is to see/crosscheck my already submitted visa application form to be sure that every info is correct, with UK visa application process its easy but with the USA method I did not see any option to print my visa application.
If anyone knows how I can view my already submitted application form please guide me so I can just have a look, I submitted it the same day I traveled out of the country on business and now that I am back I wanted to review everything to be sure, my interview is just 2 days time. You should not change your DS160 number/code 48 hours before interview because the new number will not reflect on U.S Embassy list (CGI) for interview on that day... every changes must be before 48hrs to your interview. |

therealprinceuk: Thanks I will follow @omobendel advice and fill another form right away. However, the hotel reservation can be canceled for free which is why I choose the new hotel. Thanks very much for helping out Oh great then... Goodluck |

OmoBendel24: Use option 2. See page 0, first post of this thread, it's all there....
You can also use your mouth to do this type of correction during interview though. Just a note to you... don't pay for hotel or flight before getting the visa secondly follow @omobendel advice just to be on the safe side you should fill another form. |

LadyGuinivere: Pardon me. Never flown Emirates. Is it not the regular plane size and regular leg room? Why are you so particular about a special seat? Me, I'm very tall, but the regular seats suit me just fine abi u have ajebo spirit? I think he's looking for a window seat and the window seat must not be on the wing and not at the back of the aircraft.... so preferred seat is always at the front of the plane before the wing. |

Activedreamer: I was actually trying to buy only for Dubai to NY. Almost all the correct seats are gone. I have given up though. I go manage anyone I get 48hrs before boarding. Thanks to you and @OmoBendel Depending on the type of A380 Emirates is planning to use, if it's the 3 class configuration then I'm not sure you will get your preferred seat for free but if the plane is a 2 class configuration consisting of Business Class and Economy Class you will surely get your preferred seat because most time the plane is always 70% full and they have economy seat at the upper deck as well. Keep checking you maybe lucky. |

Activedreamer: Ok..Thanks Bro why pay for seat when you can do it free 48 hours to boarding? unless your travel date is near because free seat selection will be available 48 hours before boarding and it's free of charge. Secondly, if your flight is not on thursday, friday and saturday you will surely get a window seat from Abuja to Dubai but not sure about Dubai to U.S, You can pay for seat on your Dubai to U.S leg. |

Activedreamer: I am trying to buy a sit on Emirates, but facing some challenges. While filling out,I filled my city as Abuja, but they keep asking me to fill my city in alphanumeric. Please, what do they mean? I am stuck cos I can't make payment. Someone, please, help.
Meanwhile, na wah for Emirates, they don sell seats finish. Very few comfy seats left. I thought I was to book for free 48 hours before departure. I guess it's cos it's on promo, abi na their usual. First of all... your city is ABV and you can only hold your seat for 48 hrs for a fee after which you may lose it, if you don't pay within 48hrs.. Emirates website is very easy to use. |

SexyDuby: Hello everyone, Went for our(my brother & i) interview this morning and twas half successful I tried as much as possible to take note of every single detail while on the queue. From the queue to get our document checked outside, i noticed some VO's (about to resume their shift) alight from the ferry. There was a particular lady looking at all of us on the queue and shaking her head profusely as if to say "All of these people coming for interview today
The blue paper kept flying everywhere. A family of 6 were denied(tears dropped on d wife's face). Even the oba of( dont know where) in his full regalia was denied. The cele couple(oh how i smiled when i sighted their grand entry in white) were also denied to mention but a few.
Goodluck to those going and have genuine reasons to apply. Your brother should do the needful and get more travel history.... nawa for the Cele couple oooo na agent work be that. |

OmoBendel24: I also don't understand what OP means by "JFK and New York Airport" despite having according to him read a lot of posts on the thread. Well, I really dunno what to say yet till he makes what he wants and the background to it clearer. I think the problem is choosing between JFK and EWR. I think for him to be this worried, there's something amiss, anyway any of those airport is okay. |

larrybakky: Good afternoon, i was refused a US visa for the 4th time and i dont understand why its so. My first application was in October 2008 while i was pregnant( with hubby), the 2nd was December 2010 while pregnant again(alone) and the 3rd was 2012 with my kids but we were denied. Just on Monday 9th of July 2018, i went for another interview alone (hubby got his in 2014 when he applied alone)and was still denied again even with travel history. Below is the conversation between the VO and i VO: Good morning ME: Good morning VO: where re you going to in the US
ME: yes, my Uncles and cousins and that was how conversation ended with a paper that she's sorry she cant give me.
Pls can i do a Mail to ask them why i am been refused the 4th time? Sorry about the denial.... Do you have a copy of your UK visa or any evidence? if Yes, you should have presented it at the embassy, secondly how did your aunt got to U.S? Did your husband re-applied through dropbox? |

ladylco: I feel the VO was not convinced that you're travelling for the purposes stated considering the fact that you just made a trip few months back and putting the present economic factor of nig vis a vis the financial implications for the trip (family of 5) into considerat ion, the VO is just not convinced.
Right now the potential immigrants are the well to do, and they have proven the VOs right and it's costing genuine applicants their visas.
Like you mentioned try again by easter or during children hols but if am to advise if am privy of your travel history I wud have discouraged you to apply wen you did initially. I wud have suggested appling next year instead so it will be obvious that it's a yearly family vac.
