Ezeebube2: Hey who d heck changed my comment, i said Cock nd Bull story and not rooster.Funniest post I have chanced upon today! Rooster! Rooster! Rooster! What the rooster is going on in that post! I actually wrote ro-os-ter! OK! ![]() |

nedu2000: He should'nt 'ave gone public, his misconduct could be of detriment to the church......this isn't politics or social circles, religion has different stancesHe is one of the very few people(in this situation) who have a conscience! Those who hide behind lawyers and lies have no conscience! The matter is a matter of public interest. If we say he should not have gone public, are we then saying all matters of sekzual misconduct by those public figures should on be heard in private? How is that justice for victims of sekzual misconduct who these private sins have ruined their whole life? |

modath: That means your interview was after ours some minutes after the lady was granted.I wasn't shocked at all.I listened to her and she convinced the guy that going to the US will ensure continous funding of her project, she said and I quote "as the project co-ordinator,the donor needs an analysis of how the funds are utilised so we can get another grant",she was ARTICULATE!!we got the same guy in cubicle 9,he wasn't lenient one bit, we just stuck to what was in our DS-160 and didn't try to waver one bit,I'm unemployed, filled it in my form & didn't try to dress it up or put any spin when I was asked.I think it is ridiculous that these interviews are not conducted in private at all. How does knowing other people are listening every word you say help any Visa applicant? Some people would be crapping themselves even if alone in a private room in front of an interviewer. Utterly ridiculous! |
^^^ When we refuse to yield to the Holy Spirit and godly doctrine in private, we get rewarded for our deeds in public, here on earth before judgement day! I pray he God forgives him and that the victims find healing. |

[size=14pt]News Update - O'Brien apologizes for his conduct! [b] Cardinal Keith O'Brien has admitted that there have been times when his sekzual conduct "fell beneath expected standards". The 74-year resigned as Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh last week over allegations of improper behaviour up to 30 years ago. In a statement issued by the Catholic Church in Scotland, he said: "In recent days certain allegations which have been made against me have become public. Initially, their anonymous and non-specific nature led me to contest them. "However, I wish to take this opportunity to admit that there have been times that my sekzual conduct has fallen below the standards expected of me as a priest, archbishop and cardinal. "To those I have offended, I apologise and ask forgiveness. "To the Catholic Church and people of Scotland, I also apologise. "I will now spend the rest of my life in retirement. I will play no further part in the public life of the Catholic Church in Scotland." ...................... Happy Sunday to you all! Have a marvellous and testimony filled week ... and month! ![]() |
MacDaddy01: Agreed. Wirinet is quite wrong here. Even catholic priests take an oath of celibacy- you have sex and you could be excommunicated...off topic but how many Catholic priests have been excommunicated for all the sekz they've had with all those poor kids and nuns! |
Oh dear dear dear! |
adaybayor: Waking up this morning to see the number xtian topics making the front page, one can only conclude that the average xtian is a hypocrite.Do yo not think this could be as a result of the following: 1. More Xtians than Muslims on NL 2. More Xtians posting Xtian topics than Muslims posting Muslim Topics 3. More Xtians posting front page worthy topics than Muslims 4. More anti-xtianity posts by non-xtians than anti-islam posts 5. Reduced interest in Islamic topics as they have a separate Section 6. Reduced interest in Islamic topics as non-muslim contributors get banned willy-nilly ![]() 7. Islamic MODs/ Certain NL Muslims not tolerating open debates/criticism of Islam on NL 8. Reduced interest in Islamic topics due to the quality of contribution/debate by Muslims 9. More xtians in Nigeria than Muslims 10. More xtians in the world than Muslims 11. More Nigerian Xtains in Diaspora than Muslims 12. Today being a Sunday rather than a Friday ..... just to mention a few. I'll be lucky if this thread doesn't get closed or moved to the Islamic section where non-muslims easily get banned/prevented from contributing. Eni to bere oro lo fe mo'di e! ![]() |

wirinet: I must congress that i am not a lawyer, but i know that not every agreement is binding. An illegal agreement cannot be binding even if it was signed by both parties. What i am contesting is the legality of a law that discriminates and affects only women. Even in state governments make laws that are rendered a nullity. For example if you make someone sign an agreement that he will give 10% kickback if awarded a contract and the person reneged on the agreement, the contract awardee cannot withhold final payment based on the illegal agreement. The problem is most people do not contest laws in the courts dues to expensive and rigorous litigation process. That is why this case would be a very interesting case, because i expect the lawyer to contest the legality of the agreement in a country practising a secular constitution. You got it, not all agreements can be held to be binding in law! Interesting case. It will boil down to whether pre-marital sex is illegal under the country's laws, and then they will have to show they did not fire her for being pregnant! I think she's got them one way or the other! |
More atheists, please! I was expecting better answers than what you have proferred so far! ![]() I am trying to show you that God exists and you are not helping me know how you 'atheistically' expect me to show you! ![]() Logicboy03, darling! Omo Jesu last last! How now? |
Is the life of a Police Commissioner more valuable than that of a tramp that sleeps under a bridge or the numerous ordinary citizens who die in police hands evryday in Nigeria? RIP sha! |
I don't support the lashing ... but if certain schools are allowed to mandate Hijabs for female students regardless of their religion (as seen in the North), why can't other schools mandate 'no Hijabs'? I don't support religious discrimination but I believe rules should be applied equally across board. |

Thank you ... but we will respond in due course to that thread. I remember a thread where soemone was disputing the 'bible says earth is flat and has four corners' claim with the analogy of a university never having four walls. Some muslims tend to get over-excited with their scriptures and claims of inaccuracy/invalidity/corruption of the Bible but they always end up with their tails in between their legs. Patience, ooman, We'll get to the thread. |

I was jolted by the sound of a loud scratching on my passenger side mirror being taken off by a truck! The driver must have been furious as he was honking loudly! My heart was in my mouth! I had hardly slept in 3 days due to long distance travel and preparation for a court hearing that has concluded that day. Got home an hour later, parked the car and went to bed. Next day, my neighbour asks 'what happened to your car?' The passenger side door was a complete write-off! I hadn't realised the extent to which I had been in danger until I went round the passenger side when my neighbour alerted me. When travelling long-distance now, I leave for my destination at least two hours early so I can park and sleep on the way! |
You don't slap a 23 year old to correct them! That is assault! You need to talk to her like an adult. Let her know you prefer to be 'exhorted' by word rather than slaps. Let her know exactly how it makes you feel and what steps you would take if the slaps do not stop, in a very respectful manner. |
Sooooo SAD! Does the sanitation exercise prohibit people from suffering medical conditions that require urgent treatment during restricted movement hours? Ifa child needed urgent medical attention, should they be kept at home until the enviromental sanitation hours were over? Inhumane treatment, lack of discretion, Ignorance of basic human rights, and possible criminal behaviour on the part of the KAI officials. They would not have treated their own family like that. |
Unbelieveable!!! If Nigerians illegally ship arms to Russia on a Nigerian vessel, they would NOT be released on bail to the Nigerian Embassy! If a Nigerian was caught with an illegal firearm in Ngeria, is he released to his Family/Solicitor to be produced when required by the Court? Money changed hands or Russian pressure/threats? We get ****** abroad and AT HOME! Unbelievable!!! |
Logicboy03: If you are a christian going to heaven, I would pay money to live in hell far away from you.Leave this kind of threads alone. You are building for yourself the reputation of a public nuisance! Stick to atheist threads where you can lecture us on atheism. ![]() |
