Business / Re: GTB Freezes My Account For False Loan by seyibrown(f): 12:43am On Apr 05, 2013
lorenzos1: But @Op don't u recive monthly emails on your statement of accounnt,or sms alert for transactions on your account..I once wworked with the bank but left for masters, belive you me,if you have so many customers tto attend to like they do,you wld not really be able to satisfy them all, but I don't think aany sane banker wld want to be rude to a customer (don't you know that you are the one paying their salary)..you claim you wwere once a banker, why didn't you jst apply your banking knowledge to address this issue instead of coming to post here...if you didn't withdraw the money am sure they won't accuse you(there was definetly a debit in your account)..dunno why I see this as just another flimsy attempt to defame the the bank..things do go wrong in banking transactions and u shld know that cause it is human like you that post..but evvryy transaction has a document and your bankers would willingly show them to you as prove when things like this come up..There is more to your story...!

Many Nigerian bankers are more than ruuuuuuuuuuude to customers! It is a fact that we all know! I had a not so nice experience with GTB in 2005 or 2006 when I went to pay money into a friend's account. The Lady who attended to me was sooooooooooo rude. I could do business with them but I chose not to due to my unpalatable experience with them.

I gather that things are changing with customer service in NIgeria for the better but it is always sad when those who are employed to assist customers harrass, belittle and insult their customers. The bad attitude is not only found in the Banking industry.

When a service provider is misbehaving, vote with your feet! Give their business to a competitor!

The cashless society idea is a great thing but the authorities need to do more to protect the customer from fraud.
Religion / Re: I Hate Christians & Am Disgusted By Them - Al Azhar Proffesor Of Islam by seyibrown(f): 10:48pm On Apr 04, 2013
fellis:

Oh please.
There are Christians that also hate Muslims because they believe that doing so is a Christian thing.
After all there is a verse in the Blble that says 'do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers'.

#Saynotohypocrisyinthenameofevangelism

That Bible verse does not say you should hate unbelievers. In life generally, people are advised to team up with people of 'like minds'. It's trouble to set up tent with someone who has different set if values for life to you. 'Two cannot walk together except they are agreed' is another Bible verse that should clear that for you. Does it make sense for someone who daily proclaims their love for Jesus Christ to marry or set up a business venture with someone who daily proclaims their hatred for Jesus Christ? Walk with someone who holds dear what you hold dear, not someone who would trample on what you hold dear. It's not an hatred campaign; It's a wisdom and peaceful-living campaign!

Uncanny Genius: I would love to be a superhuman. If the agents of Satan exercise the dark powers given to them, why don't the true children of God who is infinite times more powerful than his creature (Satan) exercise the power and authority at their disposal. True Christianity ought to be interesting, waging war on the kingdom of darkness to win souls for Christ. I will one day be a true Child of God and I'll never backslide.

Don't leave it too late, Bro! Now is the time to decide not to stand for him and forget the world! wink

Psalm 143:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

Psalm 143:8 New International Version (NIV)
8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=psalm%20143:8&version=NIV

For that which you have been asking for, which you desperately need, which you have almost lost hope for, which you are wondering why God is being late with; meditate on and pray Psalm 143:8 with faith and he will suprise you, even at the last minute. cheesy cheesy cheesy Worked for me!

Confess his love. Ask him for mercy, mercy, mercy! Tell him you've got no more strength in you. Tell him you know how much he loved Job throughout his trials. Tell him you know he will never stop loving you. Tell him his hand is not too short to save. Tell him it is time to bring you out of the miry clay. Confess that you know his plans for you are plans of good, and not of evil, to bring you to an expected end. Confess that he is good to you and righteous in everything he does. Thank him for the grace and opportunity to approach him through christ. Confess that you know he will perfect everything that concerns you. Ask him to give you cause for testimony on the matter. Thank him for how far thus he has brought you. Most importantly, tell him your heart is set to follow him alone, and that you know he will empower you to stay faithful to him. Believe he will do what you have asked for. Wait on him for what you have asked for.

Akim_Omigie: ..............
Luke 11:45 - One of the experts in the law answered him, “Teacher, when you say these things, you insult us also.”

This is one worth proper investigation. grin Seems they preferred that God's laws be broken so than they be insulted.

You packed a lot in to this write up. It is a shame that in many parts of the world, righteous judgement is so much being discouraged by state Laws, in that justice is not given to the victim and the criminal gets kid glove treatment.

As for condemnation, who are you to condemn your neighbor to death? As a child of god you're not allowed to commit abortion. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Who are we to say who goes into heaven or who goes to hell? Simply say the the word is near you. It is not your purpose to take a life for whatever the reason may be. Thou shall not kill anyone. He who does not pick up his cross is not worthy of god. Yes, martyrdom. You are not allowed to defend your life or the lives of others in any way that will harm your neighbor. Love is the fulfillment of the law. Who are you to condemn your neighbor? If you choose to kill for whatever reason you have chosen, your God and its not the Most High. He is a god of the living and not the dead. Are we not suppose to drink the cup provided to us? Jesus told us no more killing. See: John 10:17-18, 15:12-13; Hebrew 9:27; John 15:13-17, 18:10-12; Matthew 5:5,39, 10:16, 28, 38-39, 16:25, 20:21-23, 26:5; Acts 20:24; Luke 6:30, 14:25-30, 18:28-30; 22:35-38; 22:40, 46, 49-51; Lamentations 3:27-33; Romans 8:6, 12:9-21; Galatians 5:15, 6:10; 1 Thessalonians 5:15; James 4:1-5; Ephesians 4:31, 6:10-20; 1 Corinthians 3:17, 4:11-13, 10:21; Philippians 1:21;1 Peter 2:17, 23; 2 Corinthians 10:3-6.

While I agree with most of the things you have said, I do not entirely agree with the bolded bit, as to entirely agree with it would be to disagree the 'righteous judgement' which you preached in your paragraph preceeding the one quoted above. Would you watch a armed robber r*ap*e your child or murder your family when you can successfully subdue him? Not prtecting your family in that kind of situation would be robbing them of justice. Unprovoked, malicious premeditated harm of an innocent person is not righteous; preventing someone whose intent is to harm you/your family/your friends from doing so is not unrighteous, and neither is getting justice to ensure they do not commit such crime again. To buttress, I quote you:

When people tell you not to judge righteously they are telling you to disobey god. I will let you be the judge, who do we obey? God or man? If one steals and goes to jail maybe they will learn something. Not only that but judgement can protect those the criminal oppresses. Judging righteously can be a form of love. Don’t let anyone tell you differently. When a child breaks a rule are they not punished? Spare the rod spoil the child. Is that not a judgement?

The death penalty, for me, is still a tricky subject (as I haven't cleared it in my mind with God and I am still seeking understanding of the scriptures on this matter), and as such I believe it should only be reserved for those who intentionally and maliciously take the lives of others. Crimes that have not led to the death of a victim should not be punishable by death; the offenders should be put in prison for the rest of their lives instead. This gives them an opportunity to reconcile with God, ensures they serve their punishment, and protects the society from them at the same time.

If you love your neighbour, you would protect him from harm, and give him justice for any oppression.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Akim.

Which one is it? Was he crucified? Did Allah cover their eyes while they crucified Judas instead? Did escape to India and get married? Sheikh Gumi needs to get 'their story' straight ........ or Sheikh Gumi could himself personally demonstrate to us how Jesus did not die on the Cross, all on Camera. If he goes into a coma after enduring all Jesus went through and wakes up after 3 days, I may try taking him seriously. cool cool
Islam for Muslims / Re: Muhammad cannot be the Comforter by seyibrown(f): 3:58am On Apr 04, 2013
Big thanks to deSika for taking time to really take the Islamic 'Muhammad = Another comforter' claim to shreds. The claim is laughable and outrageous. Muhammad and Jesus clearly preached a God that was distinctly different from the other, and the evidence is today before our eyes, all around us! Christ preached repentance, forgiveness, spirit, life and a relationship with the Father, as the way to the Father; Mohammed preached punishment, tradition and rites, as a way to Allah! We cannot successfuly graft Muhammad into the vine (The Father) that bore Christ. To accept the Allah preached by Muhammad is to reject the Father that Christ preached, and vice versa. The Father of Christ is not the Allah of Muhammad!

Career / Re: Common Interview Questions And Answer Tips by seyibrown(f): 2:26am On Apr 04, 2013
Nice one, Jarus! grin

Your interview is the opportunity to sell yourself for the job. Be expressive! Let your body language confirm what you are conveying in words, but don't overact. Let your interviewers feel they can read you like a book (that you are not hiding anything that would make them not rule you out for the job), unless you are applying for a 'James Bond' position grin! Make them feel at ease! They won't forget you!

..... and when you get the job, give your best, develop yourself, be the best!

naanxie: Ogbeni shattap joor!! Drop d child for who? Did she tell u she can't take care of her baby?? Yes,she made α mistke, yes it happened but all this happened after introduction and trad wedding. After all that, wetin remain? Church wedding is jst α formality! She's α married woamn for God's sake! She isn't α teenager!! Her husband bailed out and u'r calling her dumb? Pls grow up!

If she has had her introduction and traditional wedding, then she is a married woman.

@OP : He don shele o! If he is not 'traditionally divorcing' you, he remains your husband. If you are a xtian, this is the time to turn to God and take God seriously from now on. Sad things happen in our lives do sometimes turn out to be the best thing that could have happened to us. If your husband's problem is finances and you can fend for the family until he gets a job, support him. If he is not abusive to you in anyway, consider setting up home together. If you have planned an elaborate church wedding, go quietly to the registry instead, and use the money budgeted for the wedding to set up home together and / or set up a business. I would not recommend you abort your baby - that's blood on your hands. Do your best to save your home.

May God give you the wisdom and the strength to see this through, dear! Only God can sort this out for you o! If you let him, you will come out strong and victorious an dbe able to help others who find themseleves in similar situation.

When things like this happen to people, other should learn. Women should until it is right and proper before having sekz with a man (I am not saying the OP did). Don't make yourself a victim of 'temporary marriage'. If church/Registry wedding matters so much to you, wait until you have done that and set up home together before you start having sekz.

They may be able to put a story on the site to warn UK consumers or even more.

2. Try informing their Registrar too: http://www.publicdomainregistry.com

That site should have been shut down by now. No sensible host should be hosting fraudulent businesses. I hope you get your money back.

Politics / Re: Corruption In Nigeria: Is It Reducing Or Increasing? by seyibrown(f): 9:43pm On Mar 31, 2013
Corruption continues to increase as the government is doing nothing (nothing effective) to curb corruption. It is not difficult to mandate that all monies/fines/fees due to the government always be paid at a bank - no cash should be accepted - and that all fees due should be displayed at all relevant offices. Information should also be made available to the public as to what amounts are due. An easily accessible avenue to report bribes paid should be created and action should be taken to investigate corrupt officers. This will be a start.

Government should also ensure that government employees get a living wage, not a minimum wage that is spent on transport to work.

There is so much that the government can (afford to) do to curb corruption and improve living standards for the ordinary man on the street but those in government are unfortunately just not interested.
