Take heart bro.

Never seek to have your own back.

If you brought food stuff from the village then cook and try to sort yourself out. Allow your brother eat as well

Learn to have a submissive spirit and do not fight back, which is the natural thing to do.

Be laser focussed on your future. If you persevere, this pain will pave way for your progress.

God has particular interest in the poor, humble and oppressed, so you are in good position. Ask the almighty to give you wisdom, favour and strength. Ask Him to provide for you and cloth you with His grace.

In all, never fight back, never seek revenge, and never let this bitterness get into your spirit.

Resign? At my previous place, the manager did this same thing to me and another lady and the worst part was that he still continued even as his wife was heavily pregnant. He would miss morning session to attend his wife’s antenatals then come and disturb us…does it make sense?

I eventually lost my temper and exploded over another issue, he took offence and submitted my name for transfer with so much embarrassment which I rejected and left the job, only to enter this new snake pit again…make una help me o..where am I resigning and running to again

Not an easy one especially in Nigeria. Nothing much to offer but prayers that the Lord give you wisdom to navigate things.

Remain professional in dealing with him and making it clear that you are there to do your job excellently and nothing else.

If there is ever anyone to talk to in your office please explore it. Anonymous letters or concerns etc may work as well.

God help you

Their allegations were valid. Things like this shows how sentimental people can be. She was given opportunities outside the country, but how quickly we can insult those who give us this opportunities.

It is easy to suspect one of using drugs when 3 times the person fails to show up for drug test.

Most drugs have half life's, some short and some long. Could she be missing those test so those drug half live could have passed? Could she have missed those test due to personal engagements or being indisposed to attend? No one knows and I am not willing to hold brief for her or make unjust allegations.

My prayer for Tobi however is that by the God she always mentions, she knows Him deeply in all wisdom and revelation. That her path shines with light and she remains an example to others who look up to her. That if she is falsely accused that the Lord be at her defense at all time and in every way. If she is however guilty may God have mercy on her, show her the way of repentance, and still give her grace to prosper and win.

Amen

If you continue that verse, you will see the good book was talking about seeking eternity, in righteousness and charity for the poor etc, it said working here to store for eternal life, righteousness, not for enjoyment... enjoyment is not the goal, but to touch lives and to live forthrightly, with self accountability.

When you give, give to the orphans, widows, most vulnerable too.

Yes. That book was not talking about wealth at all, but storing up wealth in heaven. True Riches is not money but doing good works.

I pray Christians go back to the scripture and search it for themselves.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Catastrophic Flooding In Libya: 2,000 People Feared Dead by sgtponzihater1(m): 10:48pm On Sep 11, 2023
My sincere condolences to all bereaved. May the country be able to pick up it's pieces again.

The end of everything is near. When we hear about wars, rumours of war, earthquakes, and floodings, then these remind us of how close to the end we are.

Soon the evil one who will deceive the nation will be released in full force. Already we are seeing his deception in Churches of God, deceiving the believers that they can go on sinning and still be right with God. When he is released he shall deceive the nations much more with counterfeit miracles and display of power, and then enslave people. There will be the most serious persecution for those who oppose his authority.

We know the end from the beginning, our Lord and King Jesus Christ will have all the victory, and those who hold on till the end will reign with him.

To our saviour and King be glory, majesty, power and authority before all ages, now and forever. Amen

You have problem with comprehension. Ezekiel text shows that the destruction of S n G isn't ONLY about sexual sins

Ezekiel lists a number of sins, and then says an abominable sin.

The Corinth church did not commit only sexual immorality, but Paul asked them to banish the sexually immoral from their midst, and admonished those with other offenses to change.

Ezekiel mentions a couple of sins, and then adds that there was an abominable sin ( almost avoiding to mention it). But Jude goes directly to the abominable sin. Even the people of Sodom and Gomorrah sort to assault angels sent by God.

Jude explains the abominable sin, so I'll quote it again.

just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire. Jude 1:7

God wants us to flee from sexual sins. Banishes a sexually immoral person from being a pastor or an elder (see Titus and Timothy)

I am not ready to trivialise what God hates. His word says flee fornication.

All who go on sinning whether sexual sin or any other sin, without remorse or true repentance will in the end face God wrath.

Hopefully we both are on the path that Christ and the apostles have set for us to follow.

I agree they commited many sins, but the bible makes it clear that they were consumed due to sexual immorality and perverted sex.

Same way you should run away from other sins. That scripture you quoted only described the difference between sexual sins and others. It did not place sexual sins higher than others.

If you fail in one...you have failed in all.

James 2:10
For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it

Prov 6:16-19
Even sexual sin didn't make the list below

There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

Now, let's look at Bible character that committed sexual sins that God still consider them great

Abraham slept with his maid: God referred him a man faith

David slept with Bathsheba : God called him " A man after my heart "

Rahab the Harlot: Slotted in the genealogy of Jesus

Ok servant of God,

Remember long ago the city of Sodom and Gomorrah was wiped off due to perverted sex, and the fire that burned that perverted city was still burning in Jesus day.

Remember when the Angels did not keep their first estate, but went into immorality with the daughters of men, Wickedness and immorality became rife on the earth and that world would eventually be wiped off except Noah, his family and pairs of animal. Those Angels are chained in blackest darkness, till the day of our Lord. So God takes human cruelty and sexual perversion most seriously.

Remember Niniveh would eventually be wiped out because they conquered by wickedness and we're corrupted by finance. The ruins of their lands serve as a warning to the cruel and wicked that their day will come.

Remember that David though he did great things, when he took another man's wife signalled the split of his kingdom. Israel and Judah will eventually split in two, and be exiled between the Assyrians and Babylonians, and till this day are fighting for their Land. David couldn't even build the temple he so wished to build as his hands had been corrupted by blood.

There was no law given on monogamy in Abraham's day. He got consent from his wife to have a Child from the slave. That union is still a thorn in Israel's flesh till this day. However it would be wrong to say Abraham committed sexual sin in that context.

Paul expressly asked the believers in Corinth to hand over the man who was having sexual immorality with his father's wife to satan, so that His spirit may be preserved. There were other i'lls in that Church including pride, getting drunk at the Lord's table, having cliques who where either for Paul, Apollo's or Cephas, those where not banished from fellowship, but admonished to change. However Paul warned people not to have fellowship with any sexually immoral person. See 1st Corinthians.

As long as you are on the right path and fleeing all sin and vices, by the grace that the spirit of God gives you ,then all these does not matter. No one who is of God will go on sinning, whether gossip, malice, sexual sin, wickedness or murder.

The devil rejoices when Believer argue over things such as which sin is greater or over worthless phraseologies. What matters most is living right and waiting for the return of our Saviour and King, Jesus Christ.

To Him alone be glory, majesty, power and authority before history began, in this present age, and in the age to come amen.

I just don't get it. I mean if you aint extra, extra careful, you'll easily fall.

Someone who I know to be fervent in spirit just fell because of that same sin.
I'm not judging, I'm just curious. Why?
Question of the day - How do you resist the temptation?

The pull between opposite sexes is very strong and God put it there for our pleasure, and only within the context of marriage. However the passion burns much earlier than our marriage date.

We can only fully overcome sin by the power of the holy spirit. Our will power no matter how strong will break at some point. However, if we submit to the spirit of God within us, He will empower us to live above lust.

We also have to be on guard at all times, with what we read, what we hear, what we see and the company we keep. Since all our senses can arouse sensual passion, we should always and at all times submit those senses to Him, calling ourselves to order quickly when we start drifting.

Lies, stealing, gossip, backbiting etc happens all the time

I would love to see Nigerian move away from boasting about professions and adding titles without end to their name. No society moves forward when people build unnecessary hierarchies around themselves.

If you study with 20 degrees it should primarily be your choice and to move society forward and not to brag, form cliques and bully people with the very common phrase, "do you know who I am".

All we are and have will be dropped one day, and we will all give account of our lives to the creator who shows no favouritism.

LET US ALLIGN OURSELF WITH THE BEST SECTORS OF THE MARKET!
One of the rule that protect you from taking a loss home the first day you buy a stock is buying in a sector that is performing.

If there is COVID we should see the effect in health/biotech sectors. But XLV/ LABU is not saying there is COVID. There has always been isolated cases here and there. Biotechs will only be moving high if this COVID is widespread. So we should not be running faster than the market.

Let us note that that there are fund Managers that are Doctors and they monitor biotech firms for their firms. So if fund Managers are neither buying XLV nor LABU, I wonder how one can be bullish on Covid stocks. Let us remember that this is what made somebody to loose a whole $5000 (may be bigger than this, but if you search this forum you will see it). You can search for the post in this forum.

For now good sectors are TECH, ENERGY, CONSUMER STAPLES and I see Finance also coming up.

Let us have a nice weekend!!!

The most powerful force is love. No one can explain the love between a man and a woman. It's beautiful and gives the most exquisite pleasure under the sun. Only God's love exceeds this, and surpasses this by far.

Women will still fall in love with men they call scums and men will still love with their lives ladies they call useless. Whether in the most sophisticated cities or the most deprived slums, the story remain the same.

In all this, happy is the man that marries a virtuous woman and blessed is the woman that marries a good man, he has found a treasure more than gold and she has found a crown over her head. Their love and lives shall blossom like a crop in its season.

I choose the path of love. To love God with all my heart and to replicate that love to my neighbour and all humans, no matter how hard it is to love them. I choose to show my family the way of love and sacrifice and wait for my reward from Him who is Love.

Peace to you Dani.

I have said this before and I'll say it again, no woman leaves a man who treats her well.

My own MIL, the highest she can stay for Omugwo is 3weeks, she even try for you sef for that three weeks. She will be running back to her husband.

You see a woman that "nags", it is because she still cares about you, when she goes silent, wetin dey her mind, na only she know. She will endure till the right time to bolt. The man will now be wondering where he went wrong not knowing that he went wrong a long time ago, na manifestation he just dey see.

Treat your wives well, don't be a Lion in the home, be relatable, treat your wives with love and respect, develop friendship and intimacy with your wife that will sustain you both till old age.

I know old women who don't stay for Omugwo cause them no fit leave their husband, such husbands are reaping where they sowed ni. If they were bad to their wives, you think the wives will be running back to them?

What kind of old woman wants to start life afresh, even looking for a job in UK at that old age when she should be enjoying retirement with her husband?

Make una dey ask these kind questions.

Well done to your MIL for her behaviour. We have all helped people that paid us back wrongly. Doing good to people does not guarantee that they will treat us well in return. That why there is evil in this world, because people are capable of hurting people who do them good, both men and women.

"If your father being evil can give good gifts", is how the good books describe humans.

So nobody knows if the man was kind or not only God knows. The information at hand is that a wife has abandoned her husband, and that is the only variable we can work with for now. Only God can judge the man.

Taking a second wife will likely put the man at a worse position.

PonziHater's Top Tips for long term Stock Investors:

1. No one can predict the market. We keep hearing bulls and bears, but we totally ignore all these predictions and go back to basics.

2. Overtime, with proper knowledge and investment, the US stock market will go up. It has since the 60s. There will be some rough bumps around the road, but we will get there in the end.

3. Crashes are like black Friday sales, they present an excellent opportunity to buy good stocks and indexes. I'd rush them

4. People who run off the market at the slightest bear scare, and run back during the earliest bull call mostly always don't eat the major pie in the market. They either turn up too late or too early during the scare.

5. Dollar/pound cost averaging still works. Take your stocks or indexes as units. The more you have the better during a bull.

6. Study about the stock market, never jump in with your own knowledge or you will likely come out with swollen faces and bloody noses.

This is not for day traders, speculators short term players or even penny stock holders, but for long term investors.
