TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by shaddie(m): 5:58pm On Sep 23, 2017
Hello Nairaland family.I am a silent reader even though i have asked few questions here and got awesome responses. God bless you all for all the wonderful contributions here.
To the seniors in the house and anyone who can help respond. we were told by a family friend that if the primary applicant eventually revoke his PR (my hubby) while we remain in Canada, we will eventually loose out from applying for citizenship in the future or even have issues because we are his dependent and he was the one that signed all there is to sign on our behalf . The plan was for us to all go and hubby returns back to Naija as he is not ready to move now. How true is this family friends information?. Also i know there are couple of families that go that route of hubby not staying but visiting , how does this work for them? what procedure did they follow. I will appreciate all your opinion please.

Thank you.
SportsRe: Did Messi Deserve The World Cup Golden Ball? by shaddie(m): 9:04am On Jul 14, 2014
It is funny how people try to sensationalize everything. This award was deservedly awarded to Messi. All you guys need to go back and read the stats of this world cup before coming to comment here. Messi created more chances for his team than any other player in this tournament. Mind you, it is a technical committee decision and not that of an individual. The committee membership consists of coaches and reputable sport analyst who are real time professionals. So please keep your opinion to yourself cause in the whole of the tournament, there is no better play maker and creator of chances than Messi and that's what football is all about. Had his team taken all the chances and were a bit more clinical with the chances he created, they'll have outscored even Germany in this tournament. So enough of this trash-talking and allow the professionals to do their work.

Autos06 Lexus RX330 Or 09 Honda CRV by shaddie(op): 5:43pm On Feb 14, 2013
Hi Guys,

I initially planned to get for myself a Honda CRV 09 model but at the car stand, I came across this Lexus RX330 06 model. The car is loaded with all the gadgets I need and also looking very sporty. I had no option but to test drive and was wowed by its movement. Surprisingly, it is far cheaper than the CRV I wanted and carries more gadgets (rooftop DVD, reverse camera, navigation system etc). I quickly changed my mind and decided to go for the Lexus RX330.

After negotiations, I wanted to conclude the transaction but on a second thought, I remembered that the Lexus is a brand that I know nothing about (of course, apart from the fact that it is also a Toyota product) and is also not a common brand like CRV. Though the dealer tried to convince me that it uses normal Toyota parts, I quickly asked them to give me more time to do some findings about the brand before buying.

I however found out that only few of the brand are in circulation (compared to regular brands like Toyota and Honda)and I didn't know anybody who has used it in the past or is using it now. I therefore decided to turn to Nairaland for help knowing that we have very experienced peeps here. Two issues here are at stake, whether or not the car is problematic and whether or not the parts are expensive. Can anybody who has experience with Lexus advise if I should acquire the Lexus RX330 (that has now captured my heart and giving me sleepless nights) or proceed with my 09 CRV?

FamilySo It Is True: A Tribute To A Bosom Friend And Brother by shaddie(op): 4:05pm On May 24, 2012
It was a bright and sunny morning as I came to the office, hoping it will be another cheerful day. I quickly tried to settle down to face the business of the day. One, after the other, tasks began to pour in and I innocently concluded that today is going to be another hectic day as usual.
In the midst of all these, a call came in from a friend at home. I picked the call with the usual excitement expecting it’s going to be the usual “I’m calling to check you out” and then we’ll exchange pleasantries and end the call. Alas, I was wrong this time around. I was too carried away and could not deduce something was amiss even though I sensed his tone was unusually unassertive and somber.

Like an explosion, the news was broken to me… in the beginning, it was shock, it quickly turned to discomfiture then numbness. I could feel my breath going away and for a moment, I was completely lost and helpless. I moved to the washroom and try to make myself comfortable so my colleagues wouldn’t know what’s happening with me… “It can’t be true”, “no, not Joe”, “there must be a mistake somewhere” I was involuntarily muttering all these until a colleague probed to find out what was wrong with me that I realized I wasn’t only thinking but actually muttering some words.

I wished it was just a nightmare and I’ll wake up from it but no way… I spoke with another of our friend, log unto Facebook, viewed your wall and lo and behold, the stark reality… IT IS TRUE.

Oh Joe, we might have been many miles apart in the last few years (due to work our commitments) but you are a strong part of my life and I’m going to miss you badly. If it was only for our university days alone, I’ll have gladly called you a friend and that will be sufficient. However, it’s more than that when I remember our service year…

We were inseparable right from Umudi (Imo State Orientation camp). We both got posted to the state capital (Owerri) and I eventually convinced you to come and stay with me since I had free accommodation then. We spent our whole service year together and had things in common. We’ll go to work together (we had our places of primary assignments close to each other), return home together, cook together, eat together, go for outings together and we even joined the same CDS (Road Safety Club) so we’ll always be together. If I can recall, the only thing that separates us, albeit momentarily was fellowship. I’m fully committed to NCCF (Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship) while you were not only committed to NACC (National Association of Catholic Corpers) you were the President of NACC at the time. Your friends became my friends and vice versa. We were more than friends at this point in time, we were BROTHERS and we had been so, ever since.

Service year came and passed but our relationship continued. I was so happy for you when you join FRSC, you were so happy for me when I got a job and relocated to Abuja. You even visited me a couple of times in Abuja which rekindled those good old memories of our service year. You couldn’t make it to my wedding but you called and apologized later (and I perfectly understood because of the paramilitary nature of your job). I spoke with you early last month and you promised to visit us any time you are in Abuja and my wife and I had been eagerly looking forward to the visit until this unholy news was broken to us this morning.

You were very vivacious, amiable, humorous, likeable, friendly and good-natured and above all, a devout Christian. Being around you was so much fun as you will always make us laugh until we forget ourselves. What more could I say?

Some things are better left unsaid but Joe, I have to say this. You left me heartbroken and inconsolable. I fought hard to stop tears from cascading down my cheeks but cannot stop the grieve raging in my heart. My spirit is disquiet and my soul is uneasy. I don’t even know why I’m doing this; I’m not even coordinated to make enough sense out of what I’m typing. I however knew I just need a way to vent out what I’m feeling, now that I know IT IS TRUE after all.

Rest in Peace Joe, till we meet again to part no more.

Your Brother,

Shadrach
TravelFuel Subsidy Protest: Are Nigerian Airports Truly Shut Down? by shaddie(op): 2:18pm On Jan 10, 2012
Hi Guys, I need your help. I'm currently out of the country for vacation and billed to return home tomorrow. I read online about the airports been shut down but yet to receive any official information/confirmation from the airline regarding my scheduled flight back home. I've been monitoring the situation on their website yet no comment about the strike in Nigeria. Kindly confirm to me whether or not international flights still come into/depart from Nigeria. TravelCan I Travel 2 Weeks Before Visa Expiration? by shaddie(op): 5:47pm On Aug 03, 2011
Nairalanders, my 2 year US Visa will expire by 2nd week of September and I intend to travel to the US 2 weeks before its expiration just to spend 1 week and before moving to the UK where my visa is still valid. What I'm traveling for cannot wait until i renew my Visa. I want to know if it's okay to travel to the US 2 weeks before the visa expiration even though I'm only spending 1 week. This means I'll leave the US for UK 1 week before my visa finally expires.

I'm asking this to avoid any form of embarrassment by the US authorities on getting there. Kindly advise.
TravelPlease, How Reliable Is Wakanow.com? by shaddie(op): 11:34am On Apr 12, 2011
Hi Nairalanders, I intend to travel for vacation in the summer and I have 3 destinations in my mind. In all my previous travels (business or pleasure) I purchase my tickets from the airlines directly and also make direct arrangement with the hotels (I just don't believe in online payment). This time around however, while trying to beat the summer rush and hike in fares associated with the season, I did my window shopping online, booked the airline with the best fares, rushed to bank, withdrew money and quickly dashed to their office to make payment. I was however disappointed when they told me at the counter that the actual fare is far higher than what's on their website. the difference was quite significant that I aborted my plans.

On my way back, as I was thinking, I remembered the several advertisement I had seen in the national dailies about wakanow.com and on getting back to the office, I visited their website and confirmed that their fares are quite cheap including the hotels, airport pick-ups etc. I however don't have any information about them. I'm therefore calling out on Nairalanders who have had any sort of experience with them to help out cause the money involved here is huge and is not something I'll want to gamble with.

Thanks.
Car TalkRe: Help, My Eod Is Delays In Changing Gear by shaddie(op): 4:20pm On Oct 15, 2010
@EEL, I just returned from an auto workshop where I did a comprehensive auto scan. Those who reside in Abuja will know the place- Jethro. I think after them, they only other place i can visit in Abuja is Honda Place (which obviously is very expensive). Their scan still didn't show anything different (that the gear box is intact) hence they decided to just service the gear box and said we should try the car. But the problem still continued.

He then said it must be an electrical fault. that they'll work on it and replace the sensor. I'm however not convinced as I'm still trying to figure out the relationship between the gear box and what he mentioned. I told him I'll think about it as I'm tired of trial and error suggestions which is already costing me so much. Do u think that could be the problem? Any hope that it could be the solution?
Car TalkRe: Help, My Eod Is Delays In Changing Gear by shaddie(op): 9:26am On Oct 15, 2010
@EEL, the check engine light is off and the 2 scans i did revealed nothing. All the scans revealed that there's nothing wrong with the gear box that's why I'm very confused.
Car TalkRe: Help, My Eod Is Delays In Changing Gear by shaddie(op): 8:23am On Oct 15, 2010
@Denn, to answer your questions, the transmission fluid does not smell as u mentioned and there's no visible change in color. On the leakage, yes there was before now, but it was rectified and the leakage has stopped. We've also changed the ATF after the leakage was rectified. I used for 2 days before the problem returned.
Car TalkRe: Help, My Eod Is Delays In Changing Gear by shaddie(op): 4:30pm On Oct 14, 2010
@Ireneann, changing the ATF was our first attempt at solving the problem but even after that, the problem persisted. We were therefore forced to try other solutions.

Car TalkHelp, My Eod Is Delays In Changing Gear by shaddie(op): 2:56pm On Oct 14, 2010
Hi Guys, please help me out. I use a 2004 Honda Accord (EOD). It’s automatic transmission. I noticed recently that the car delays in selecting gear or rather in changing from one gear to another and when it’s eventually changing gear, it jerks forward forcefully. For instance after starting the car and accelerating to a point where ordinarily it should change gear, the car will only be making huge noise and if it eventually selects the next gear, it comes with a forceful jerk. This is very inconveniencing for me.
Because I reside in Abuja, I took this to an auto-diagnostics workshop. They checked the gear box and told me that there’s no problem with the gear box; that it is still okay. Furthermore, this is something that happens from time to time. In order words, it is not consistent. I’m therefore confused. This is a clean car that I imported less than 2 months ago from the US and even after it was imported, I took the car to a good auto diagnostics workshop and carried out complete auto diagnosis on the car to confirm if anything is wrong with the car before I paid the balance for the car. I was told the car is in a perfect condition and I sealed off the transaction. I’m therefore perplexed with what is happening. Please our very experienced folk (especially those with experience in using EOD), what’s wrong with my car and what do I do?
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Or Dagrin's Death: Which Pained You More? by shaddie(m): 10:01am On May 13, 2010
Well, I don't know what came into into your mind when making this comparison. I however feel this comparison is highly unlikely. How many people know who Dagrin is? Yar'Adua was Nigeria's C in C for God's sake. I, for one, never heard of Dagrin's name before. Infact, I heard about the guy because I flew into Lagos that day and heard some colleagues in Lagos talking about the guy. When I asked, they said I won't know him because he raps in Yoruba. I got to see his pix on Nairaland the next day. It surprises me that you Lagosians assumed that Lagos is Nigeria and whatever is popular in Lagos is popular in Nigeria. That is not is not the case. Because he is popular in Lagos doesn't mean he is in other parts of the country. I bet you, if you come to Abuja and asked, only a handful, may be the few lovers of yoruba music, will know him.

Having said that, it's natural being a youth to feel the pain whenever I hear about the death any young person whether he/she is known to me or not  compared to that of an elderly person.
TravelRe: Airport Immigration And Their Monstrous Acts! by shaddie(m): 10:52am On Feb 22, 2010
I can see that this post is already making so many would -be first time travelers jittery assuming that this is the norm. To start with, for those who are asking to know what virgin passport means - it refers a traveler who is making his first international trip. It means someone who just got his first visa and is travelling abroad (using visa) for the first time. This is usually a thing of concern to most immigration authorities not only in Nigeria as such first time travelers have a high tendency of not returning back and even becoming at large in those countries they travel to compared to their compatriots who are usual travelers.

Coming back to the topic at hand, in as much as such incidences do occur in Nigeria, it still remains an anomaly and not the norm. I also noticed that most of the complaints here are associated with MMA airport in Lagos. From my personal experience, travelling from Nnamdi Ezikwe Int’l Airport in Abuja is the best bet. All the officers in Abuja appear more professional than the ones we have at MMA Lagos. You’ll notice that all through the security checks (from immigrations, customs, bomb squad (police) and NDLEA), they appear very courteous and polite. I remember even during my first int’l trip, which was to the US, all the security officers were polite & professional; no body harassed or asked me for bribe but the only time I travelled from Lagos, a female security officer asked me for bribe. I was shocked & categorically told her that during my previous trips that I took-off from Abuja, nobody ever asked for that, so how comes that during my first trip from Lagos airport, she’s asking me for a bribe? Does that mean the immigration Service in Lagos is different from the one in Abuja? When she noticed how serious I was, she quickly said that that wasn’t what she meant oh…
Apart from that experience with the female security officer, I got delayed during the routine security checks beyond what I’m used to experiencing when I travel from Abuja. Thus, I made travelling from Abuja my preference for now.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: UCL Semi-final: Barcelona(0) Vs Chelsea(0) On Tuesday 28th April by shaddie(m): 5:34pm On Apr 30, 2009
Check out the response of Iniesta when asked whether they can do what Chelsea did at Nou Camp when they go to Stamford Bridge:

"We believe that playing well is the best way to achieve good results. Football is for enjoying and having a good time. Our fans wouldn’t forgive us if we played the way Chelsea did last Tuesday, with all the respect in the world. There are many ways to get results. I mean that we will maintain our philosophy to the end. Win or lose we won’t change our ideas”.

That's why I'm proud to be a Barca fan.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: UCL Semi-final: Barcelona(0) Vs Chelsea(0) On Tuesday 28th April by shaddie(m): 12:54pm On Apr 29, 2009
To start with, I want to say a big congratulation to Chelsea for:

1) not conceeding goals at Nou Camp.
2) for succeeding in their game plan of "anti football tactics"
3) for deciding not to play football on a night like this
4) for not even making an attempt to play football

However, I'll be doing great disservice to football and lovers of good football if i don't say how disappointing it is to see a great team like Chelsea with their array of world class players putting up a below par performance. It is sad that at the semi-final level of the most elitist of all club-side competitions such damage is being done to football.

For God sake, 69-31 ball possession in favor of Barca. Hiddink - I'm disappointed not because I'm supporting Barca 2 win but because we all expect to see good football and so also are 96,000 fans that paid money to watch the match live. They deserve to get value for their money. But, contrary to all expectations, Chelsea superstars were turned into a bunch of mediocre players at Nou Camp. There was nothing professional in their performance at all. I actually expected Chelsea to show some respect to Barca being the team that plays the best football on the planet but i don't expect expect them to be turned to cowards and weaklings on the pitch as it turned out to be. Imagine how Barca utterly dominated the possession (69 to 31) , scoring chances, attempts at goals, corners etc, Infact the only thing Chealsea dominated was fouls committed and yellow cards obtained.

They were contained in their own half thru out the match. They could not even manage coherent passes, create chances and even keep the ball. no sooner had they gotten the ball that they end up loosing it. The only real opportunity they had came as a result of an error on the part of Marquez and Drogba, I think Chelsea Coach needs to watch the video of this game again and see how weak his team was. They only clustered in front of their 18 just to prevent Barca from scoring and not that they have any intention of playing real football. That on it's own, is an attitude of losers. For me (and I believe am speaking the mind of other good football lovers) I rather see a team playing attacking football, creating chances, making attempts at goals, giving and collecting accurate passes, dominating possession etc. to end up loosing and than to see cowards called stars queuing up in front of their goalie in the name of playing football end up winning. Such makes football boring.

Inspite of my disappointment with Chealsea, Hiddink and their stars, my main disappointment goes those EPL fans that kept saying that Barcelona got to this stage because they neva met English opposition. That Barca kept meeting weaker teams which accounted for their success so far. according to such fans, EPL teams are the best sides in Europe. Thus, when Barca was drawn against Chelsea, I was eager to watch the so - called strength of English football. but to my disappointment, I ended up seing the most one sided match at this level of the competition. This was the same thing Man U did last year. Thus, I kept wondering where lies the so-called strenght of the English teams that turns them to cowards/weaklings whenever they meet Barca? Pls EPL fans help me out.

As far as i know, even the weaker teams in La liga will manage to play better than Chelsea did yesternite or at worst, make attempt to play football unlike Chelsea that made no attempt to play football and caged themselves  in front of their keeper like Bouncers at a party premises. If this is what u guys watch in EPL matches that deceives u to say that EPL has the best teams in Europe then I'm sorry for u guys coz u re really missing a lot.

For those of you that think that Chelsea has any advantage in the 2nd leg playing at home should have a rethink. In the first instance, the best place to attack is when playing away coz any goal u score has double implication on the opposition.  Now that the game is to be decided at Stamoford bridge, the pressure will be on Chelsea to stop Barca from gettin an away goal advantage thus they'll do more of defending. Secondly, Barca is naturally an attacking side thus they'll be doing their own thing while Chelsea will be left with the task of trying to contain them. Since Hiddink used all his players to defend at Nou Camp (where they ought to be looking for away goal advantage) I wonder whether he'll use all his 11 players with the reserve bench to defend at Stamford bridge to prevent Barca from getting the highly coveted away goal. As for the Barca I know, they rather fight and loose gallantly than to defend and win like cowards. That to me is the distinction between great teams and weak teams. Any body think otherwise?
SportsRe: 2009 Champions League Quarter Final Draw: Prons and Cons by shaddie(m): 9:08am On Apr 02, 2009
Good analysis you have over there Zero 2. However, permit me to complete the analysis you started by informing the house that Barca is the only team that has three players from its squad in the current UEFA best 11 and this has been their prerogative for long.

It really baffles me when I see people sticking to sentiments in their analysis, rather than addressing issues rationally. I dare to reiterate the fact that Barca is the best team on the planet today not because they are flawless or because they cannot be beaten by any other team, no; but their style of play is distinct from that of any other team. Barca is a team that plays as if they came from another planet. There is no professional coach or footballer on earth today that does not envy or at worst, fancy the way Barca plays. It’s a known fact that they have loopholes in their defence and they also have a porous goalkeeper. However, they are not overwhelmed by these setbacks because of the superfluity of their midfield and attack.

To be honest, since I became an adult and fall in love with soccer, I had never seen a team that fascinate me with their kind of game like Barca, irrespective of whether they are winning or losing. Barca cannot play a match without dominating the possession, the chances/ attempts at goal etc. Furthermore, I had never seen Barca play defensive football no matter how strong the opposition is. Their orientations is to play better game, attack and get the goals thus they are attack minded squad from start to finish.

In case we are quick in forgetting, let me take us back thru 3 seasons ago. 05/06 Barca defeated all the teams it played against in the UCL. 06/07, they were eliminated by Liverpool, However, inspite of the setback of the first league at Camp Nou, they went ahead to beat Liverpool 0-1 at Anfield but lost out due to away goal rule (A feat that only few teams in Europe could boast of). 07/08 (their worst season in recent years), Barca was only beaten by Man U with a lone goal over two leagues. But it’s known fact that they outplayed Man U, and made them looked like a mediocre team (don’t also forget that Messi just returned from long injury then and didn’t get the chance to play 90 minutes).

Well, I’m not saying that Barca will clinch the trophy this season but the truth is, Barca is the team to beat this season as it’s the only team that can make all these big teams shiver coz they specialized in making the big teams play like babies and often make a nonsense of their skills whenever they play against them. This, they’ve been able to retain with changes in coaching crew. Thus, I make bold to say Barca was and they still remain the football team not only in Europe but the world over.

Good luck to all the 8 teams that made it to the quarter finals.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Can I Get An NGO Job? by shaddie(m): 4:39pm On Feb 11, 2009
I'm surprised to see the number of people in this thread that showed interest in working for NGO. Though some claimed that is because of the passion and some because of the money, some because of the exposure (though didn't have the time to read all the responses cause of my tight schedule). You are all not far from the truth. But I must tell you this, if you're the type interested only in the monetary aspect, then go far NGO's that are working in HIV/AIDS prevention and management- that's where the money is. This is because since it's discovery in 1980's, there's hasn't been any issue that has received widespread publicity, attention and funding like HIV/AIDS. Thus, Developed countries (US,UK,Canada etc), International Organisations put together billions of dollars every year to fight against the scourge of HIV/AIDS (Global Fund for HIV/AIDS) and a substantial portion of this amount comes to Africa where the cataclysmic impact of the scourge cannot be taken lightly.

Thus we have a lot of International NGO's into HIV/AIDS in Africa. However, the largest funding for HIV/AIDS comes from the coffers of the USG. The have a PEPFAR (US President's Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief) program that permeates all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria and Africa at large. In Nigeria, most of the big NGO's are funded by this grant. But there are also those International NGO's that are funded by very large orgainsations or very wealthy individuals such as Clinton Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Jimmy Carter, Nelson Mandela Foundations etc. On the whole, all these NGO's are international in nature and have a very high standard as they are supervised by USAID and US Center for Disesase Control (CDC) or other int'l orgs.

Thus I want to disabuse the mind of those people who thought all that's required for you to be in such NGO's is passion. It's beyond that. You have to be a professional to the core to even have a chance of coming close to such organisations. Their standards can only be equated with that of mainstream international NGO's such as World BAnk, UN, US Embassy USAID etc. Thus, for you to be able to work with such NGO's you must be someone who can be able to work in the int'l orgs. mentioned above because you must be able to stand up to your international colleagues that come from different countries. Infact, the interview I attended was conducted by World Bank Professionals on behalf of the NGO. This is to give you an idea of the calibre of employees such NGO's are looking for.

Oh Sorry I have to go, I have a lot of things waiting for my attention. But I must warn you, the workload is something else however, they have a good welfare package for their employees, the exposure they'll give you can only be matched by those working in mainstream int'l orgs. (should have  told that I left an international Oil Co. to join the NGO and I'm now in relaxing Abuja instead of Niger Delta with their militants wahala)

Good luck to you all

Car TalkShould I Go For Passat Vw Or Toyota Camry? by shaddie(op): 11:43am On May 26, 2008
Hi Nairalanders, I urgently need ur help. Am not experienced when it comes to Autos. Infact, learnt how to drive early this year. My problem now is that I want to buy a car But dont know what to go for. This is actually going to be my first ever car & I love Passat Volkswagen with a passion ever since I was a kid. I can actually afford buying it, but what am not sure of, is the maintenance since am not experienced about Autos generally, some of my colleagues in the office tried to discourage me saying the parts are not readily available and that its maintenance will be costly. they advised that I go for Toyota Camry either 1999 or 2003 model, which to them, costs less to maintain and since its going to be my first car. That I can always go for that later in life.

My problem is that am not sure about what they are telling me, as most of them drive Camry, I felt they just want me to join their league. Moreover, when I went out for market survey, I discovered that the cost of the Passat I want is same as that of the 2003 Camry. so why shouldn't I go 4 my dream car?
I hate a situation where I'll be driving my car whil admiring someone's ride.

So pls nairalanders I need ur opinion on this issue b/4 I even storm the market.

Hi nairalanders, jus want 2 appreciate as many of you that had taken time of their jobs and other undertakings to respond to my post. i must confess that i learnt a lot from ur contributions. infact, the impact will go beyond solving the problem at hand, but making me a better and wiser chap. I was able 2 sort things out when I travelled 2 Abuja during the xmas break. in a nutshell, we have parted ways for good, and I believe is only a matter of time, God will bring another angel across my path. Thanks for the care and concern as some even took the issue more personal than I did. my prayer for u is that this year, God will satisfy every one of u with the desires of their heart. love u all.

She Left Me Before, But Wants To Come Back After I Got A Plum Job

HI, Nairalanders, I enjoy reading your comments and contributions when ever I'm less busy in d office. my story goes thus:

I'm a 28-year old chap, i had a girl i tried to woo two years ago when was doin my post grad studies. she failed for me but after I left Abuja 4 school, she dumped me and went for a Banker. I confronted her but she gave no explanation hence I accepted my fate and moved on. Being a decent guy, I never severed my relationship with her we still talk as mere frends. Initially it affected my studies but i later got over it.

It's been 2 years now and I got a job with an oil company operating in the downstream sub-sector of the oil and gas industry, and was posted to South-southern part of the country. after some time, she got winds of happenings around me and started by calling to congratulate me. With time, the frequency of d calls increased and anytime I come to Abuja she she'll always be around me.

Eventually, she discarded the banker and pleaded with me to accept her back into my life. I'm skeptical bout this girl but the truth is that I still have feelings for her. Besides, since I broke up wit her I never entered into any relationship. Please nairalanders what do you think I should do. Once beating twice shy.
