Hello Everyone,I need advise pls.i submitted SOWP for myself and Study permits for kids since November 2021 and up till now nothing has happened. I intend to apply for VV.my question is do I reference the SOWP and study permits in the VV application.

A quick response would be highly appreciated.

Hello house, so I applied for a study permit for myself and SOWP for my spouse and VV for our baby, but I forgot to add my baby’s birth certificate. Although I added pictures of us together, do u think I should find a way to send the certificate or the pictures are convincing enough ?

Thank you Otunba for your contributions. I don't seem encourage with this SOWP visa system. We contacted mp and was told eligibility has not started and medical was not requested. I think overall Nigerians are not well attended to in this class. It's deliberate.

All things been equal they have wasted time already, I mean 54weeks, I think Carlone too applied since March 2021.....haba... Anything they want let them do on the application, whenever they are ready for anything on the application, i am available.

At this point, I am not in a haste any more.

2 visitors visa refusal
1st was submitted on 22nd November and refused on 30th December
Reasons:
-purpose of visit
-family ties
-travel record
2nd was on 5th January and refused on 20th February
Reasons:
-family ties
-travel record
SOWP submitted on 22nd February 2022,
-Travelled to Dubai on 4th of April 2022 for vacation (my wife came from Canada to meet me there in Dubai) and I returned to Nigeria on 22nd of April and on 1st of May I sent my new travel record via email to kenya, London and lagos IRCC offices with pictures with my wife.I also submitted it as webform. approval was received today, May 5th- 72days!!!. Pure miracle


I should add that I requested for reconsideration of his visitor's visa that was refused in December and I did not hear from them until today, they sent a second rejection for the visit visa followed by an approval for the open work permit

Your chances of getting a job after your MSc in Canada is slim. Abi na G or drugs you wan go tidy? Canada is NO NO for street!

1. Get a high paying fed job
2. Go for msc programme in canada.
I believe everyone’s mature enough here to share their candid opinion.

There is no clear cut procedure they use. The decision is always based on individual VO's frame of mind. Somebody wrote that she invited her sister and the sister did not submit a bank statement and got approved with virtually no travel history. Whereas I have seen somebody with travel history to UK and Germany who was invited by a Canadian citizen brother, but got refused.

Hello can you please shed more light on how to apply with family as I have tried sending you a message from naira land in your mail. And if I’m applying from the UK as a Nigerian will I need to apply with agent in Nigeria or UK

Not sure this can be done just like embassies don't refund visa fees after visa refusal.

Go ahead and apply with your family and don't let anyone talk you out of it. Show that you have enough funds to cover you all, Show your home ties. Just package your application well, no loose ends and you will all get it that's fact. Also, upfront Medicals for you all is necessary. All the best.

Please who knows about this case. I want to include this in my application. An immigration lawyer said it's ok to, but how do I confirm this case so I don't shoot myself in the leg.

I've seen it already. I've been in contact with people in Australia, and they keep telling me that studying in regional areas like Darwin (Northern Territory), Adelaide (South), Perth (West) and Tasmania are the viable places for 3yrs post graduate work permit and easier pathways to PR compared to other states and territories in Australia. How true?

To the VOs the reasons are tangible becos since u have an sowp application on anyone on VV might not want to leave and with this flagpolling of a thing then u stay as long as possible till u become PR although ur stay with the collected work permit through flagpolling also depends on the visa of the spouse so to say. So dey just reject or approve by considering the SOWP immediately. I have only seen an exception of someone on this trend that got both approved

Order your GCms notes to see any update on the SOWP. I am also doing PhD and it is frustrating to leave my kids behind as a mother. Only for our VV application to be rejected because of ties to Canada. Get your gcms notes and see the state of your application. You can also call the MP of your area.
