Tired of Canada its been 6 months now and nothing nothing. Really finding it hard to concentrate on this Ph.D. stuff. Getting so sad .
Please if you're coming to Canada don't let anybody advise you to drop your family in Nigeria and come here first. Apply together if they reject apply again. |

Please someone just contacted me that his agent did chargeback for him and now he got the procedural fairness. I just want to pay for him and he would need your best advice as to what to write for justification of this problem. I would appreciate it if anyone can help. |

technix: Hi Shams040,
You shouldn't have said 'some people here just respond to what they don't know'. It was unnecessary. You could have just given your advice and walked away.
Anyway, medical exam is only valid for 12 months if you haven't entered Canada, even if your visa has been approved. I have attached some evidence here. Sorry about that and thanks for sharing this. However, logically it makes no sense. But I accept that I was very wrong based on the evidence you have presented. Thanks. |

ditha: You are actually wrong, I have a friend who applied for and got a study visa in 2020, he submitted medical results and passed but because he couldn't travel in 2020-and deferred his admission to 2021, his medical result expired and IRCC requested a new one before he could travel.
Medical is not just required for visa processing; it is to show that you have no illness before you travel to Canada, that is why if it expires, you will be required to submit a new one Alright, thanks for the information. I was wrong then. |

OtunbaTee: Very unnecessary what you closed you writeup with...because you're VERY wrong, I'm currently in Canada, and I'm here to tell you that u need valid medical report to enter Canada, else you'll sleep at POE. don't be too rude when replying in a public space..#Shalom So sorry for that, I was so wrong. |

Jeffi7: Hello Sir/mas in the house, pls, I need your advice on this matter, my brother got PPR and he is traveling in August this year for the fall semester, his up front medical he did for his visa application last year will expire in June this year before he travels in August.
1. Does he have to do a new medical before he travels or he can just travel like that ?
2. Does immigration check for it at the POE in Canada ?
3. If he needs to do a new medical, what would he do next and who does he submit it to since he already has A STAMPED VISA?
THANKS Sorry I gave a wrong answer earlier. |

I've taken many online courses. What are the criteria for sowp? Am I eligible? Please help as we don't want to make a mistake Apply together, please don't listen to anyone that ask u to apply separately. |

rheene009: Hi nairalanders, PLEASE HELP ooo my spouse applied for OWP but no update yet. My program and visa will expire in April 2022 and I have gotten a new LOA for another program. I want to apply for study permit extension this week. Do I mention OWP’s pending application in my study permit extension sop or OWP should send a webform with my new LOA and inform IRCC I am applying for an extension.
I am wondering since my current visa is less than 3 months and OWP application is still pending decision, what steps do I take before submitting study extension or after submitting study extension.
Thank you. I would advise that you either wait for the SOWP or withdraw it and reapply with your student permit.

Solitin40: This journey to Australia is a three-step ponzi scheme/use and dump strategy, so bear with me as I explain. You, the agent in Nigeria, and the Australian government/university are all involved.
The agent is chasing your money, specifically the consultation charge (above #150000) and the commission they receive. They are not there to help you; they are marketers selling a product. However, you must be smart in order to use them effectively and don't forget to conduct your own research. Agents will not inform you of the best course or location, they will simply tell you the nice things you want to hear. They are waiting for you to pay the fees and the school deposit.
The UNI/government these people also want your money; they will almost certainly admit you to courses that will not allow you to get PR at the end of the day, but they will also admit you to courses that will provide you PR as long as you pay. Education is one of the country's main sources of cash, so use your head instead of allowing them to utilise you.
Now, imagine you've spent thousands of dollars studying a meaningless course like accounting in a high-demand location like Sydney, and your age isn't working in your favour. What's your reward if you don't get PR? The two merely played you and used you, but if you obtain the PR after three years, you three will both use and dump each other, so be prepared before coming here and be wise GOODLUCK So what are the courses that gives PR the most? |

Mike365: For any decision you take, try to follow the Unsw directive on purchasing the OSHC from their preferred provider - medibank (comprehensive cover), to ensure no stories in your refund https://research.unsw.edu.au/additional-information. For your partner, you may source the cover from a cheaper option. Since refund is just for the student. Thank you but I will like to convert it to couple when we get in and get some cash. |

Dear All,
Please I want to ask something. I have a scholarship from UNSW for a Ph.D. but I do not have money for couple health insurance as UNSW said they will only refund the health care ( for me alone) when I am in Australia. Now I want to ask is it possible that I buy two single medicare insurance which is around 3068dollars each instead of buying couple? Then when we get to Australia one can get money and buy the couple one later. |

This Canada Immigration is not really sincere. They are afraid to come out with their full chest that they don't want spouse to get SOWP again. They should tell us if they don't want and we would decide if to come to Canada or not. I chose Canada over US because of the work permit for my spouse nothing is so special about this country. People get depressed every day and all. |
