Please I just head from an agent that if you have ever applied for us lottery before should please keep up to the information you gave out before most especially your age, and your details would show in their computer . I can imagine how you feel about this so let me quickly share something with you.
First, a lot of professors do not respond to emails, you should be thankful he did reply.
Second, you didn't tell us the content of the mail you sent, I mean what were you seeking? Was it an assistantship, mentorship or you just wanted to establish contact with a faculty? That would explain why he asked about funding.
Third, I won't say your response was wrong but I feel it would have been more "professional". Let me show you:
I have reached out to/ contacted the grad coordinator/ department or so so so about being considered for funding but I am currently awaiting the decision.
While my example may not be perfect, I pray it shows you how passive "I am hoping" sounds. You don't just "hope" for things, you make moves,you CHASE THEM and by letting the professor know the specific steps you have taken so far, you sustain the communication.
Conclusively, I suggest you send a follow-up mail to him. I don't know what you want from him but you might just have to ask again because Nigerians are resilient, we do not go down without a fight!
P.S I am sorry if my response is long, wordy and rambling. I am having cramps and writing makes me feel better, so you might want to forgive me

I did that, I paid before receiving my documents since I already had my SEVIS details. I think you can too if you have the money so you can focus on other expenses.
I believe what counts is that you paid the $200 and got confirmation.

I checked last night,there are several available dates for May or even April. June and July seemed pretty packed up but you can squeeze yourself. However since you prefer before June, go for your MAY. Be prepared and may the force be with you.

My suggestion: go to an ordinary photoshop, take a bright and clear photo using a white background and ask them to compress the soft copy to a maximum of 230kb. If they don’t know how to do it(just like my case lol), no worries. Take both Soft and hard copies home. Use a computer to edit the image via “PAINT” and adjust the dimensions till you get a maximum of 230kb. Then you are good to upload. Very stress free. Trust!

My passport has been rejected on the basis of compressed artifacts and poor lighting.
I followed all the instructions, I even went to five star studio to snap it oo. I tried the scanned version, i tried the soft copy. Still no show.
