Daddy Texrem already said you are good to go but I really want to commend you for posting an amplified transcript! You worked on what was pointed out, kept things in order and added more substance. Well done!
However, I am not sure about "if the VO is the listening type, you can try to be emotional and talk about your mum"
Like where did that come from shocked
Also what your dad does, that place gave me small headache grin
Conclusively, BREATHE, SMILE, CONVERSE(don't sound like a robot that memorized/internalized these information).
I wish you well my friend, let's go get that visa!!!

Adekunmi28:
hello @sharwama and @texrem check out this new transcript and let me have your opinion please and thanks. Proposed Transcript
VO: tell me about the program you going for?
Me: I’m going for my bachelor’s degree in computer engineering at the University of Idaho
VO: how many schools did you apply to?
Me: 4 schools
VO: name them?
Me: university of Idaho, southern Arkansas University, Park University, and western Illinois University
VO: how many admit?
Me: 3
VO: why u of I?
Me: aside it’s remarkable, and notable achievements, U of I gives opportunities to students to partner with industries to solve real-world problems even before becoming a graduate of the school, by so doing it helps enhance the students experience, also when I looked at the student to faculty ratio I saw it’s of a ratio 15:1 given room for instructors to know each students by their name.
VO: How did you find out about U of I?
Me: I found out while researching about the school on Princeton review, USnews.com and looking at the top 200 research schools in US and their achievements.
VO: tell me about your study plan?
Me: I’ll be studying this course for a duration of 60 months, and few of the courses I’ll be taking are the ECE 101 which is the introduction to computer engineering, ECE 241 which is the Logic circuit lab, and other foundational courses like Math 101, chemistry, and physics and computer science and of course I’ll be focusing more on the communication and the wireless network aspect of the course for my research which is going to be a privilege to work with professor James Frenzel.
VO: tell me about your background?
Me: finished high school
VO: I can see you finished high school 2013 so what have you been doing since then?
Me: after high school I enrolled at a computer school for 4 years where I was groomed by my instructors on how to modify, design and repair computer parts and gadgets, I have also been doing the best I can at my dad’s company in his computer engineering department. Then if he/she is the listening type you can try to be emotional and talk about your mom.
VO: why do you want to study in the United States and not in Nigeria?
Me: Academic experience from a US university is highly valued, and acknowledged around the world, it’s going to give me an advantage, and also a great opportunity whenever and wherever I decide to make use of my certificate when I’m back to Nigeria after my studies in the US.
VO: why this program?
Me: Reason because computer engineering gives access to the future, that in terms of new innovations and creativity, it’s also a course that combines both the knowledge of electrical engineering and software design which gives room for continuous learning and various career paths. It shouldn’t be forgotten that computer engineering as some other areas too which is the coding and cryptography, communication and wireless networks as mentioned above to mention a few and of course the hardware engineering and the software development.
VO: have you been to the US before?
Me: No, because I’ve never had the cause to.
VO: where will you be staying?
Me: I’ll be staying in the school dormitory theophellos hall to be precise.
VO: what will this course do for you?
Me: it will provide me with an adequate knowledge of computer networking, database administration which will help me perform efficiently and effectively while working at my dad’s company here in Nigeria.
VO: who is sponsoring you?
Me: my dad
VO: what does he do?
Me: he’s a chartered accountant and also the CEO of complete hotels limited which consults for top companies’ part of which are park inn by Radisson, preparation of Sops for organizations in the country.
VO: what will you do after your studies?
Me: I’ll be coming back to Nigeria to implement all what I’ve learnt over the years at my dad’s company by making sure I give an efficient and effective output which will help increase the growth of the company, and also I’ll be focusing on the communication and wireless network problems as part of my research and preferable solution to solving the problem here in Nigeria.
VO: I’ll be approving your visa, here’s the white paper and pick up your passport in the next 3 days.
Me: thanks

I was only worried because the statement he has is from Jan-March and his interview is in June and he didn't mention prospects of printing a current version by June in his question. I only wanted to draw his attention to that, maybe I just didn't choose the right language. I'm sorry, thank you for the clarity.
Time2win:

I wonder how he is shooting himself shocked. He can actually use 3months statement of account and get his visa. He should make sure it's a current SOA

My school requested for SOA of at least three(3) months before sending my I-20 but it has to be the last three months(most current three months).
For the visa part, please why do you want to shoot yourself, with your own gun, with your own bullet shocked shocked shocked
sammybtc:
Hello all, please I have a statement of account (SOA) for a period of 3months (Jan-Mar), as against the 6months rule I have been hearing. Can I use it to apply for I20 and Visa(scheduled for June)?.
Thanks.

Since you added "bro" I figured this transcript is for a male figure, so technically I am not allowed grin grin grin However, I can't sleep and I care about you enough to share my thoughts.
First, your transcript is beautiful, I love your ginger, I love your spirit. I feel like you know what you want to say but you just need to work a little bit on your organisation.
Again, I am concerned about "research opportunities through assistantship programs" coz those are graduate terminologies and you are going for a B.Sc.
Do you think you can solidify your reason for choosing U of I, I mean what makes it stand out for YOU? Other schools give such opportunities, there are far notable schools and being ranked 153rd doesn't necessarily justify your choice. Do you see where I am coming from?
I have seen a couple of transcripts where the VO tackled the applicant just on the choice of school and made him/her quite nervous.
I'm also concerned about your response to "what will this course do for you?" You probably need to hit the nail on the head or if you insist on a verbose response, you probably would need to work on the synergy of your answer(each sentence should enforce the other)
Going forward, I am not sure how I feel about what you have been doing since 2013.
Let me show you something:
"I enrolled at a computer school for four years, there I was groomed by my instructors on how to modify, repair, design computer parts and gadgets"
My example may not be perfect but I hope you see the power of clarity. I also brought "four years" forward because it's a vital part of your answer and the VO might interrupt.
Finally, on what the course will do for you. You probably need to work on your response, I'm not sure it would "wow" the VO grin
I wish I could write more but I'm always scared to comment on transcripts. Liver dey cut as I dey write this one sef grin grin grin
I wish you tremendous success my friend. Go get that visa grin grin grin

Adekunmi28:
here's my proposed transcript bro help look am thanks.
vo: pass me your pass and i-20
me: passed
vo: where are you going to in the US?
me: i'm going for my bachelors degree at the university of idaho moscow idaho
vo: why the US and not here in NIG?
me: it's widely known that an academic experience from a US university is highly valued and respected around the world for they give excellent research opportunities through assistant ship programs.
vo: why U of I?
me: asides it's notable and remarkable achievements, the school gives opportunity to students to partner with industries to solve real world problems by so doing it helps enhance the students experience, also according to the national university rankings Forbes ranked the school 153rd, zzzzzz
vo: why computer engineering?
me: computer engineering is a course that gives access to the future, in terms of innovations and creativity...... it's also a course that combines both the knowledge of electrical engineering and software design giving room for different career paths and also continuous learning throughout ones career.
vo: you finished high school 2013 what have you been doing?
me: i enrolled in a computer school to learn about computer engineering which as always been my dream course in which we focused on the hardware engineering aspect of it which deals with the modification, design, and repair of computer parts and gadgets that lasted for for years........
vo:what will this course do for you?
me: it will help increasing and brooding my horizon about the course and also help to add to the knowledge i had before, also will help me perform better when i return to work at my dads company, not forgetting the fact that i'll be focusing on the communication and wireless network for my research which will help problems to the solution we having presently in the country.
vo: who's sponsoring you?
me: my dad
vo: what does he do?
me: he's a chattered accountant and the CEO ................
vo: where will you be staying?
me: in the school dormitory so so so to be precise
vo: you been to the US before?
me: no
vo: why?
me: i've never had the course to
vo: hands me the white paper, you be needing this at the poe

Thank you so much for taking out to time to attend to this. I have learnt something too smiley

LagosismyHome:

1. Never say no 1 outside. A good student would have researched properly and ensure its an accredited school. Not spend money first before realising its not good

2. That excuse get kleg. Even if its affordable that doesn't stop a good student from applying

3. Well ...

Regarding the rest ... for Cc . You have to take into consideration the whole picture. How old are u and when did you finish secondary school

Lastly if you want to go with Cc. Then keep working on your response, give it your best and hope for the best.

Interview for US is highly subjective. What u think cant work will work sometimes and what you think would work sometimes dont work . So for transcript my only advice to EVERYONE is just give it your best .
Prepare, go through as much transcript and use it as a guide

Yaaaaay!!!
I am really glad you have come this far in the pursuit of your dreams. Like Jon Snow, I know nothing . However I'd share these with you:
1)There are tonnes of transcripts in here, of applicants whose visas were approved or denied. They are your GENESIS. Go through them meticulously, absorb the knowledge, let it guide you as you draft your transcript. Brace up for anything, the simplest questions are the ones that can throw you off balance.
Let me illustrate:
I recently read a transcript where the applicant was asked the date he/she sat for the GRE. Like of all the things to expect, date wasn't really on the radar. Yet the VO asked and threw the person off balance.
You see my point now abi?
2) When you draft your transcript, post it here so that the eyes of the gods, the new and the old may behold it and counsel you if the need arises.
3) We should never wait for things to come to us, we should chase the things we want, hunt them down and bask in the thrill of victory. The point is; send a message to whoever you are seeking a mock interview with. Again and again, these amazing humans are BUSY. So ask nicely, be persistent in your request and hopefully you'd get what you want.
4)I know I write too much but hey! I am HOME, this is FAMILY grin grin grin
I wish you explosive success on the path you have chosen. May Grace speak for you!

Omotomi05:

Yes yes yes as long as the SOA is genuine. There are several transcripts of approved visas in here, where the sponsor was a sister/brother/aunt/uncle to the applicant. The question is: why would they want to invest such a huge amount on you?

Master! Thou art wise! My respect, thou hast earned over and over again.
fairheart:
I don't like to barge on a conversation that has nothing to do with me. But let me drop this little thought for whom may concern:

There's no single path to what we call SUCCESS! If you have seen the Bollywood movie, 3 Idiots, you'll understand. Success is not graduating from top 10, top this, top that school and getting a job with Microsoft, etc. Many of us look at life with dust-tinted lens, and so we see things the way the lens (our erroneous perspective) portray them. I may desire to study in Harvard, Yale, etc and work with a top 10 company on earth, and still not reach that epitome of life, or please my Creator with my existence. I know a lot of guys, both in Nigeria, US, UK, Canada who did not graduate from any top anything. You could not see elite in their experience, but they are pioneer in their fields. Men from Yale, Harvard, HiiT consult them. They shouldn't have reached that height if going to top institution is the foremost or only route to lofty height. I am one of those whom James Cameron's life is inspiration to. Check the highest grossing film of all time, the top 2 movies, Titanic and Avatar, have their root and record-break in James. You need to read his story.

The men who laid the foundation for the American prosperity that so many Africans are in the country to enjoy and harness are autodidacts--men who understood that to succeed in life, you need just your mind, courage, commitment and willingness to learn, and God. I may go to the lowest ranking university in the US and still sit and pioneer or trail-blaze for dudes at Harvard and Yale. (And I am on course to do things that will make these institution come to me to ask, "Tell us how you do this?" grin). From the inception of Stanford, Harvard, Yale, etc, these institutions look around the world for bright minds; they look for students who have mind and abilities that are not so common. Unfortunately, we give the glory to the schools, and not the human nature that makes them possible.
Going to Harvard, Yale, etc cannot make any student a genius; the spirit is innate. But these institutions have huge endowment to fund what a lay person can call ideas turned into research. And no matter what, research always leads you to something--whether same, old conclusion or new one with new insight. The glory is within--in you, in men and women who pass through the top schools, not the system of the institution itself. And this is why every student must be his/her best --in whatever we do, in whatever profession or field we desire to build our career. You can go to a community college and invent things that have never crossed the mind of the most renowned Harvard professor or the best student there. The seed to succeed and trail-blaze is in you.

For example, I know a young man in Nigeria who is currently nursing a business idea he once shared with me. If God wills and he launch, he will be the first to take this business in the direction he plans in Africa. No other person has tried what he's planning to do. And by the time he launch, he's likely to rise very fast--especially if people invest and believe in him. So, if someone tells me, "oh, go to top school so that you can reach that height or work at that organization", I will role my eyes and clear my throat.

Because you are so young and have little real life experience, you need to read a lot of autobiographies of men and women who reached height that only few men can reach--without going to the most ranking universities or working with top companies in America or wherever.

A lot of young men and women have been to Harvard, or Yale, or MiiT, or Cambridge and Stanford. It is their pride! They are proud of themselves, but how many of them have done things students from unknown universities cannot do? Many of the gurus moving the business world did not go to top institutions for their education. If you read the history of world's feats and inventions, you will see the names of a lot of people from nowhere there.

So, what is success to you? To go to top school? NO! To make a lot of cash? NO! To have kids in America? Dish that! Success, at least for me, is living a life that advances humanity, a life that heals the ills of human race, a life well-pleasing to my Creator. It does not matter at all if my PhD is from Yale or Stanford; I don't need education from these institutions to become an inventor, a scientist, a renowned doctor, surgeon, a billionaire businessman/woman. Each time I see how the business world move up, down, left and right, I see a mighty influence of CREATIVITY (not an MBA degree from Harvard, Yale, whatever) at the centre of that world! If the environment is enabling, in this century, and that to come, you can achieve the most note-worth feat. You just need yourself, educate your mind, access information that you can innovate with, stretch, have open mind, and be willing to research--whether with your own home-based team or within the institution you're studying. If you are extremely creative and think outside the box, and understand the width and height of your profession, Halleluyah! You can blow with ripples so wide that other continents can feel. You can go to Harvard and still not be able to achieve this.

Conclusively, the men and women who will shape the future of humanity will not come from top this and top that; they will not necessarily be people who study at top 10 institutions on earth. They will be people who gaze far into the future and create solutions to future challenges and pioneer; they will be men and women who think outside the box; they will be men and women who give us solutions to world's problems. YES! Well, the last time I check, we don't need a Harvard or Stanford degree to do any of these.

To students on this thread in their 20s, currently in the US or in Nigeria for their undergraduate or just graduated, I really want to recommend that you all read:
The Authobiography of Benjamin Franklin
The Way to Wealth
Poor Richard's Almanack

Also, watch the documentary movie: The Men Who Built America

To whom it may concern, please learn something from this.
God bless you!

Yes, yes, I am super grateful and bracing up for my interview. Thank you for sharing this wonderful perspective.
fairheart:
I will also say something about the value of GA, GTA, and scholarship offers on your I-20s. Imagine a University in the US offered you GA of $15, 000 to $20, 000 (which is usually renewable)? Convert $15K to Naira. That's a whooping N5.3!!! If you are offered as high or close as this, I would suggest you see it as winning a huge competition, like the one sponsored in Nigeria by Verve and all these companies. Just imagine it. If you are not from a well-off background, this is huge. N5 is not bean-cake in today's Nigeria. And these GAs, GTAs, scholarship opportunities are like treasure. You should value it and let the value of the free-money drives your enthusiasm. If those without GA are grooming themselves morning and night for a successful interview, someone with award should do more. I know some of you are very religious and hope for favour, but yet, do your best.

Education is the US is very expensive, but if you have managed to cut out all those expenses with the offer of a GA, GTA (couple with stipend), I think you should be very, very, grateful and do all you can to secure a visa on that i-20!

I am saying this because some of you look at these scholarship on paper as "small thing." It is not; it's huge!

Master!!!
You have given us a drink from your fountain of knowledge. Thank you for this and I look forward to your "address" at your earliest convenience smiley smiley smiley

Yes, she should get the visa IF she prepare for the interview very well. But we have seen a student here and there who did not really prepare but still got approval, though rare. The F1 visa interview is like a job interview. You're expected to prove you're competent and knows what you are doing and why you're doing it--within those few minutes the interview last.

I could remember what happened to a close friend last year. She got a b1/b2 and travelled to TX and return home in 2017. Then she applied for her MS upon her return to Nigeria, choosing a program that's different from her first degree entirely. Unprepared or believing B1/B2 visa interview is the same for F1, she went for the interview and she messed up, not able to answer questions such as, "Why a Masters in this program", "Why this school?", "What will you do after graduation", etc. When I saw her transcript I could see she did not prepare at all. She don move back now.. grin grin

Lack of preparation for basic, inevitable questions can dent a student chance. Even if the VO is in bad mood and placed on the hot seat to deny, but your response makes sense to him/her, she will look at you as a genuine, able student. It is why I tell all of you here NEVER to copy another student's transcript. No two students on this thread with the same academic profile, career goals, vision and reason for going abroad for studies. So, use your unique academic profile, career goals, options, and information regarding your program courses to create your own transcript. YOUR OWN TRANSCRIPT!

And yes, believe in yourself. When I am a little busy, I will address the issue of fear, tension and pressure, lack of confidence and how to take care of them prior the interview for 2019 prospects.

Happy Easter!

So upon as I shine teeth reach at the end of the post, you didn't get my joke? It is like you are a very serious somebody ooo. See how you are throwing questions at the innocent child, you don't even know if I have eaten since morning or if I am seated between two obese women in Keke grin grin grin
Please I was joking and yes, I totally agree with your last sentence.

Are you sure? Your statement is Absolute!! Have you gone for your visa interview? Is that what you observed?
I do believe GTA and having gone to the US and coming back should be an added bonus not otherwise!!

Noooooo, don't even think about it. It would ruin your chances totally. All those who received GTA were denied visa with immediate alacrity. Your case is even worstest because you have gone to the abroad before, so what are you finding in Amelika again grin grin grin

I just got a full offer for GTA. Will this offer and my previous travel to the US help in my pursuit for a US student visa?
