Compliments of the season everyone!

As we all know, Christmas is around the corner, and the excitement is already in the atmosphere.
This is the season for giving and sharing.
A time to spread happiness, enjoy and make merry.

In the coming days, there will be lots of purchases in preparation for Christmas, to make the celebration memorable.
So, in the spirit of giving and sharing, what will you be giving yourself this Christmas?
If you already got yourself something, what was it?

For me, I'm still thinking of what to give myself.

I think this all depends on who is handing it for you. There are smarter ways to boycott all those protocols and delays

If the items ship via USPS (as is the case of the OP) or through any other mailing services (Roayl Mail, China Post etc), there is no way around it, it would have to be routed through customs and NIPOST, except, of course, one pays for premium service (like EMS or it's equivalent from the country the items are coming from). If one ships through DHL, UPS or any other courier company, you will hardly get these kind of delays, but their are more expensive. Freight forwarders are cheaper (some as low as $5/lbs) and the transit time is better than using USPS, but you can't compare to the transit time of courier companies.
But, we learn everyday sha. Abeg, if you get the code to avoid all these kind wahala with customs and NIPOST people, hook a brother up.

Pwettylinda:
Pls mod help me push this to the right section

A friend of mine sent me a package using USPS (United States Postal services). And he sent me the tracking number.

The package arrived Nigeria with 5 days, the tracking status shows it is with the customs.

Custom processing

This is about 10 days after arrival, status still says custom processing.

Confused right now, how do I get the items.

How long does custom processing takes?
And what does it mean

Help pls....running out of patience

It is for this reason I stopped buying and shipping stuff directly from anywhere to Nigeria. If it is not customs, it is the staff at NIPOST.
I just hope you're able to get you stuff, but in the future, kindly use freight forwarders. They might be a bit costlier than USPS, but you're sure to get your items intact.

Please, can does anybody here have a replacement screen for a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (sm-n950f/ds).
I've got one that's blind and need it fixed ASAP.

This is the sole reason banks like GTB disabled their customers from being able to send the customer service team an email.

Pasima:
Good morning everyone, please I need your suggestion on this situation.

I have a female friend who always shares things with me. She tells me everything about her and I also told her mine. She is in a relationship about to enter marriage but she is not certain she will marry the guy because he is in the force.

But I am falling in love with her, she comes to my house we watch film together and eat together. We snap pics together, she even sat on my laps to snap pics. I felt like telling her that I love her and I want her as my girlfriend but I am scared she might get angry with me then on second thought I was thinking maybe she was waiting for me to say the word.

What do you guys think?

I once shared my feelings for a friend and she laughed it off (not a word), but today we are still very good friends.
I also once did not say anything to another friend, but all my actions showed that I was in love with her, but she eventually went with someone else (she's even on NL); worse still, years after, when we kind of talked about, I still got blamed for not saying anything.
The point I'm making is that you should say something, if it is meant to be, it will be.

So, we now import something as common as butane gas? Seriously? Gas?

Been there, done that. No biggie.

Was it ever alive?

Kobicove:
What's good about it?

People are going to loose their jobs!

You have a point, those working at the branches being being closed would loose their jobs or be moved to branches and replace some people there. The worse part is that even their customer service representatives are not even Nigerians, they are all Indians based in India, yet they want to bank and make money off Nigerians.
