This is the alert I got.. I don't receive bank alert through mail..
Wow, my bank usually sends email and SMS notification days before the debit is passed.
Just report this case to your bank (I'd suggest you take a written report to them and have it acknowledged). If after 5 working days they don't get back to you, write them an email, attach the acknowledged letter and put CBN consumer protection (cpd@cbn.gov.ng) in copy of the email.
This kind of thing can be painful Sha.

I don't know if this is the right section.. Please lala, your help is needed.

Just this morning, I got a debit alert from AlieXpress and was wondering how possible. I thought it must be a problem with Aliexpress since I do shop there.. As i was trying to get to support, I got another debit alert, and yet another.

I had to block the atm through my bank app. I tried looking for my atm and it was nowhere to be found.

It dawns on me that I've lost my atm and someone is shopping with it. Now my question is, is it possible to recover my money through my bank, possibly trace the transaction and know who did it?
You should have gotten notification about the transaction 3-4days before the actual debit. If what you got was a debit alert, I can only suggest you take the issue to your bank, they should be able to contact Aliexpress. But if it is the transanction notification (just like in the image I attached here) you will get your money back without hassles, just let your bank know you didn't carry out the transactions, they'll investigate and release the blocked funds to you.
I wish you all the best.

Crime / Re: My Apartment Was Robbed In A Very Mysterious Way! by shevon: 8:03am On Dec 28, 2019
If you just moved in and you didn't change the locks, it might possibly be someone that had access to the apartment previously. Just change the locks; and like someone suggested, pally with thugs in the area and you might just get the info you need to nail the thief.
I remember, in 2013, when I was away and my wife had to go stay with her sister, when I returned and brought her and my baby back, we got robbed 2 days later. When some boys in the hood (who I usually greet and sometimes buy drink and bazz for) heard about it, they came back to tell me exactly what my police friend later confirmed when the robbers were caught.

GAZZUZZ:

Scan transmission. Seems wrong transmission is installed in vehicle.

Never believe this silly quotes on major problems. After paying for vehicle, you will realise much greater issues.
That's the thing, the onboard computer is not returning any error and when I scanned with my (cheap) OBDII device, no issue was reported. I am very aware of the history of the vehicle: bought brand new and used by my company, sold to a colleague after being fully depreciated, who's wife has used it for 3years before stepping up to something bigger. They have never changed fixed/worked on the transmission. Heck, the milage is still under 85k. My mechanic said changing the solenoid will do the trick, but I'm just confused. If the solenoid is changed and the car doesn't give the issue again, do you suggest I still buy it?
Autos / Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by shevon: 7:32pm On Nov 03, 2019
God bless you with what you've been doing with this thread.
There is this Nigerian used 2011 RAV4 I am considering buying and the only concern I've seen so far is when driving and gear is supposed to shift to gear 3, the car just revs and jerks before moving on. Called a mechanic and he said the issue is with transmission solenoid (which he said would cost N50,000.00 to fix and the seller has agreed to pay) though the check engine sign is not on; my question is, would you suggest I go ahead and buy it since the mechanic said it is something that can be fixed?

Career / Re: Her Firm Increased Her Pay To Match That Of a New Job (Please Advise) by shevon: 6:27am On Oct 29, 2019
Back in 2010 I found myself in the same position, if I mention the difference in the amount I was being paid and what the company offered to pay because I got a new job, people will not believe it. I had to leave just because I felt the company I was working with was not sincere in dealing with me (and other staff to be honest). Why was it when a new job came calling that they knew to increase the pay? Why not pay their staff salary commensurate to their input if it is so valued?
One thing to consider is that there is the tendency for you old job not to increase your salary again for a while, but if you perform in your new job and get confirmed, it might come with pay increase.
Besides that, a new job means new experiences and challenges to surmount and better your career; I have seen people that shrugged off fear of the unknown and were better for it.

The simple things that make Nigeria's go off online amuse me sometimes; the context you use a word is nobody's business. Even in the definition you gave, the negative meaning was actually informal. So, when does hustle mean fraud in whatever context you use it?

Politics / Re: Leilana Fartha Wants Nigeria To Tax Vacant Houses by shevon: 8:19am On Sep 24, 2019
FarahAideed:
Tinubu will not like this ..but on a serious note this woman is very short sighted , why punish home owners for housing Deficit they did not cause?

The below might give an insight into your question. I am not saying they don't have a right to place any cost they deem fit on their property, but if they properties are reasonably priced, some middle-class people will not be dragging low priced houses with low-income earners. Just a thought though.

ULSHERLAN:
If you come to VI, there are loads of vacant houses because the prices are high. If this tax is imposed, I'm sure vacant house owners will rather want to put someone in the house paying something rather than leaving the house and still paying tax on it. Wise move if our FG can implement.

This kind of talk has led many a men to depression and early grave. Sometimes sef, the guys ladies call broke are even doing better than the ladies' father's.
I'm not saying men should not put in efforts, but hey, if a lady feels a guy is not doing enough per standards she's laid down for a 'man', why bother insulting or putting the man down? Just move it along, what you consider poison is another's meat.

The gesture, though a good one, was done at the wrong time. Today is Thursday, most markets/traders do not go to the places of trade till 10am, automatically the people who patronise them too don't bother going out on time, so traffic is usually less on Thursday mornings. If they really need to have the study done properly, they should have the access gates opened within same time frame on a Monday.
