Celebrities / Re: Busola Dakolo: RMD Reacts To Rape Allegation Against COZA Pastor Bidoun Fatoyinb by shevon: 1:41am On Jun 29, 2019

The support Busola is getting so far shows that Biodun is not clean.

But one thing I know is that, whatever your crime is you will surely have some people that will support you so don't be surprise wen people also stand up for Biodun Fatoyinbo.

By the way, what's the meaning of Fatoyinbo?

Even before you say it, people are already doing so, calling the woman names (which is stereotypical of a rape case and why so many of them don't even bother talking in the first place and pretend all is well just to cover up).
I'm not saying it is true or not, but the allegations should be investigated and whatever the truth is should be revealed.
As for the bolded, the answer no hard na, "Fat-Oyinbo", abi e no make sense? grin
Don't mind me, just faffing around, the name sounds like "Ifa-to-oyinbo" literally meaning "Ifa (Oracle) equates to the Oyinbo (white man)", may be wrong though, just used my small elementary Yoruba language skill to try make sense of the name.

I have been to about 6 Redeem Church Parishes here in Indianapolis to meet up with my clients and close deals and the multitude of Nigerians I see in those Parishes makes me wonder if there is anyone left in Nigeria. This is just Indiana o, Imagine the number of Nigerians you will see in Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Dallas and Maryland grin grin grin YOU GO FEAR!

But they are now wiser; any Nigerian that pays for U.S Visa fee in 2019 is like throwing money into the Ocean.
Care to explain, I'm interested in this discuss.

You disabled the SMS alert on your bank account? So if a fraudulent activity takes place on your account, how will you find out immediately?
Email notifications are also instant and I always get alert. So if my SIM is compromised, there is no way for the fraudster to know what I have as balance, nor would he be able to get any SMS from the bank expect for tokens and other general messages sent; and for him to get to the level where he would get a token code, he has to know my user ID and/or card PAN, my full name, password and card expiry date.
Even if you get sms notification, the deed would already have been done, so there is little or nothing you can do at that point.

This is one of the reasons I disabled the phone banking thing and SMS alert on my account for more than 5years now.
I also keep all my money in an account without ATM access, I only move money to the account with ATM access when needed. One can't be too careful when it comes to money security, especially in our digital age.

ikorodureporta:
N450 per meal cheesy

They are mad if they insist that they spend N450.00 per meal; why I say so is because that would amount to N1,350.00 in a day and N40,500.00 in 30 days (a month), meanwhile they only just recently approved N30,000.00 as minimum wage for people who work to generate these monies they use to feed the prisoners. So, to be law-abiding and hardworking in this country is a crime?
Even if they insist that they spend N450 for the 3 meals in a day, that would amount to N13,500.00 in a month and I know some people who do not earn that much in a month.
Our leaders are heartless and some of us who enable them are no different. Kai!

I can relate to this.
Borrowed some cash on behalf of a family member last year September because he had an emergency. The money was supposed to be paid back in October; fast forward to February, the money was yet to be paid and the person I borrowed the money from had an emergency too, so I had to use the money I got from selling my car and another one I got from another source to pay the original lender (even though her dad died despite everything)
Before I paid the money, I told the family member I got the money for that the fund I'm using to pay back was meant for me to replace the car I sold and he said it won't go beyond 1st week in March. Right now, he doesn't even call or text me and I still don't have a car. I went all out for him because he had borrowed in the past and paid back, there was nothing to indicate he would treat the last transaction like this. A transaction that was supposed to be closed out within 1 month is 7 months old now and counting, with no end I sight.
It is well.

IamHeWrites:
The Nigerian Police says its men will no longer be allowed to carry firearms during operations.

Instead, officers of the Police Force will now make use of electro-muscular disruption technology known as teaser in place of firearms.

The Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Muhammad Adamu disclosed this while addressing men and women of the Nigerian Police Force at the Police College parade ground, Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday.

Adamu said the use of the teaser otherwise known as rubber bullet will be used by the routine patrols, arrest duties and other low-risk operations “as strategic approach towards reducing incidents of fatalities associated with misappropriation of lethal weapons by the Police as first line of response to any threat.”

I don't get it. Would they be using tasers or rubber bullets?

Jokes Etc / Man "Caught" Withdrawing Money Without ‘ATM Card’ In Ibadan by shevon: 12:45pm On Apr 10, 2019
As funny as this sound, this is serious:

A young man identified as Azeez Morufu, was caught while allegedly collecting money from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) without using naira MasterCard, popularly known as ‘ATM card’ in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Tuesday.

Our correspondent gathered that Morufu was caught early Tuesday at ATM points of one of the new generation banks beside the Ibadan zonal headquarters of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) on Oba Adebimpe Road, Dugbe.

A source told our correspondent that the suspect was caught when a passer-by saw him with a huge amount of money at the machine.

He added that Morufu who made some confessions after he was caught said he has a code he always input on the ATM to dispense without a card.

An eye witness, who drew the attention of others to the scene, explained that she became suspicious when she noticed the young man in dirty clothes was withdrawing huge amount from the ATM.

She said that the suspect has, however, been handed over to police from the Iyaganku division.

However, all efforts made by DAILY POST to get the reaction of the spokesman of the state police command, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi proved abortive as at the time of filling this report.

Several calls put through Fadeyi’s line were not answered while an SMS sent to him asking him (Fadeyi) to respond has not been replied.

Lagos Transportation System and How to Reduce Traffic

While BRT busses make up for comfort what they lack in organization, the large number of people who depend on its route network makes it largely inaccessible to anyone working on a clock. Yellow Danfo buses are a logical alternative, but the strife of the journey is not only implied in the physical outlook of the often outdated buses, but it also reflects in the generally underwhelming or potentially dangerous experience. But in a country where only a few have enough to eat, even fewer can afford to hop cabs or request an Uber off a luxurious smartphone with Internet access. Okada riders are the banished crown prince mode of transportation in Lagos still valued by many who dare to brave underlying safety and legal concerns for speed and efficiency.

This is a summary of the Lagos transport system headache. Nicely written, well done.
