Good day NLers, please I need your take on this.
I'm a student in one of Nigeria's prominent public universities.

A girl decided to vie for admission in my school via the predigree programme but she had no accommodation. Because of the relationship between my parents and hers, I offered to take her in from January till now

I offered a roof over her head.

The first night she came, she slept on the floor and I wasn't okay with that, the following night, I told her she could have the bed, I vacated my bed and relegated myself to sleeping on the floor, we can't share same bed since she's neither my babe nor sister. And this sleeping routine has continued ever since then. The floor is my new bed

I gave her my spare key, uncensored access to my kitchen and everything within my legal occupancy.
Cut long story short, last week Tuesday she woke up, had her bath, ate then stepped out briefly, when she returned we were outta water. Tap water of course. She called my attention to it to which I remained calm. Meanwhile I hadn't eaten neither had I bathed. At noon, she came to me that she was hungry but couldn't cook due to unavailability of water, I then asked her if I am to fetch her water??!.

She said she was gonn take food stuff to her friend's place (upstairs) to cook.
I replied by asking how many of her friends had lacked water and brought food stuff to cook here??!


She got angry and took some money and left


That same Tuesday, I went to see Chelsea game, when I returned, I asked her if she cooked but she didn't dignify me with her attention talk more of a response.
I thought it was rude but considered it as one of the many tantrums of ladies

The following morning, she woke up, acted like I don't exist, couldn't greet... had her bathe and left. Returned, unlocked the door, walked in like I wasn't there, ate, left to her friend's place.

On Thursday she repeated the routine, I called her back when she was going out, I asked her if she considered me as her father, brother or boyfriend that she'd wake up and start throwing attitudes...
I made her understand that I am her benefactor.
Hardly did I finish before she left. She returned and continued in same path and that has continued till this very moment...

Last night she didn't sleep at home, when she returned in the morning, she unlocked the door with her spare, walked in, ate, brushed, dressed and walked out without a single word e come be like say I be ghost.

What I did, I changed the locks, took some stuff, sealed my door with strict instructions to the caretaker then moved to a friends place outside my lodge and I've been there ever since.

She has returned and has been calling my line but I've been ignoring...

Now, is my action too harsh or still in line??!

While you are at it, make sure to call her parent(s) and report the issue before she would get to them, cos if she does before you, there is no way you'd be seen to have done the right thing.

What if she's just doing it for the clout, since part of her complaint is that she has not been acknowledged? What if she grew up in an orphanage or that her father has since been dead and buried? I really don't get what people derive off all these online validation seeking stunt. The fact that you tattooed someone's image on your body (celebrity or not) says a lot about you; now seeking recognition for it is even worse!

I really wish I had seen someone do a truthful review before I bought it. I was i sure need of a TV back when I ordered it and the price was enticing. Now, I know better.

I have the 55" and it would have been better I added more money and got a better brand. The advertised HDR is non-existent, and the TV keeps blanking out every now and then (I've called their, so called, customer service and they keep saying they'd get back to me). It runs android 6 without any chance of an upgrade. Total trash.

So, if I can afford to buy my 20 year old son a N7m car, I should not because a backward thinking homosapien like this was allowed into the police force?
What if the 20 year old was an entrepreneur who started young, or inherited the wealth from a dead parent or relative, he shouldn't spend it because the government has made it hard for his age cadre to make money and live comfortably?
Are there no other means through which one can be investigated without, out of mere suspicion, stopping the person in the middle of the road and start harassing them? So, is it part of your training to just spot a laptop or iphone, declare one a fraudster and demand money otherwise you arrest and detain (even go as far as beating or some times killing) the person?
I have noticed the reasonable ones among these lot don't stand on the road and suspect every 20 to 30 year old, so those ones that do, do they use a different training manual from the one they use for the right thinking members of the group?

Fun fact : One of the funniest "real life is stranger than fiction" stories ,for me is when the government of Ecuador essentially had a war with goats . Yes. The animals. This is a thread on how it happened.
A little background on goats . They are , despite belief, actually quite intelligent and very adaptable. They have the ability to survive in almost all climes and a very good reproductive rate. They have been shown to have quite high cognitive ability and learning.
The Galapagos islands are one of the world's most unique biodiverse locations, and where Charles Darwin went to develop the theory of evolution. They are located about 900 km off the coast of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean. They are where the story takes place.
Goats first arrived to these islands on the ships of whalers, who left them there to survive so they could have food when they made a pit stop. I don't think they really expected them to do as well as they did. In 1959,some fishermen left 3 goats there. These 3 turned into 30000
By the 90's there were close to 300,000 goats on the island. They ate everything. All the foliage on the island was eaten. The other species on the island started to starve. The Giant Galapagos Tortoise , for example , went from 250k+ to under 4000 . Something needed to be done.
It was agreed that all the goats needed to be killed. Ideas like importing lions came up , but it was too crazy. So, they decided a war on goats needed to be declared and for that, they called in The Military. This was the launch of the codenamed- "PROJECT ISABELLA"
The operation began with squads of hunters crossing the island with squads of hunters , which shot all the goats on sight. However this was inefficient. So they brought in *Helicopters* with two trained snipers on either side to systematically shoot and eliminate the goats .
You'd have thought this meant the end of the goats? Wrong. The goats while suffering losses at first , grew wise to this tactic. They learnt the sound of the helicopters and started to hide underground , and maintain foliage cover . They resorted to guerilla tactics.
This brought in the use of the infamous - "Judas Goat" . What's a Judas Goat you ask? Well. They would find a female goat in the wild , tag it with a GPS tracker , and let it lead them to it's underground comrades. They would then proceed to slaughter everyone except the Judas
They used several Judas goats and by 2006 , finally after a long battle with the goats putting up stiff resistance. The main islands were declared Goat Free and the population of species like the Giant Galapagos Tortoise started to rebound.
The war on goats....was won. But spare a moment for the tenacity, wisdom and drive of the Capra aegagrus hircus aka the domestic goat.
