deolurexy1:Na wa. Thread is about an apology to the VP for fake news peddled against him and has nothing to do with Bourdillon but you must find a way link it to it. Learn to stay objective please. Feel free to start a new thread on Bourdillon. |
BlowYourMind:More or less like he did not have a choice. He did not state the reason but the truth is that another person died yesterday because of this so called task force. Before constituting the task force, they should have undergone proper training and orientation. The loss of a precious life which was preventable and avoidable prompted him to disband it. He has not done well, he should have listened from the onset when people started complaining about their reckless behaviour |
One major thing I have seen in marriages is that once children come into the picture, there is usually a transfer of the affection and attention meant for the spouse to the children. Asides from violence and infidelity, this is one of leading causes of failed marriages. Children are very important in marriage but the truth is your child is not more important than your spouse. I believe if many will embrace this, then we will see better marriages. We all have the capacity to love our spouses and children simultaneously but the order should be clear. Spouse first, then children. Both parents have key roles to play in the life of a child and children learn from us mainly by the things they see us do. The absence of either parents is usually not good except in extreme cases. |
Kondomatic:First question that came to my mind as well. Not even a room and parlour where she can be sleeping in the sitting room. Very awkward. |

Mo3891:Exactly, this thing is about compromise not entitlement. If there was a prior agreement with respect to rotation, then yes, being entitled comes into play but that is not the case. The constitution allows anybody that is qualified to contest for an election regardless of where they are from or wether someone from his zone is an incumbent. If he/she feels they stand a good chance, then they have every right to contest. There is still time for the Igbo's to start mending bridges and building new ones. Between now and 2023 is about 3 years which sufficient if they are really serious. The PDP agreement is just rotation between North and South not across the 6 zones. PDP is all about winning the next election and if they don't they don't think a SE candidate will win, no show for them be that. APC is on lock for the SW. |
Though I don't mind a President from the SE in 2023 but I think the way the Igbo's are going about it is wrong. Firstly, they don't have the numbers to make such demands and as seen in the case of PMB, a presidential election can be won without getting substantial votes from the region. And in Nigeria, nothing in the constitution or any other binding document that says presidency should be rotated among the zones and no gentleman's agreement exists either. In Akwa Ibom for instance, there is a gentleman's agreement that the governorship position is rotated between the 3 senatorial districts after every 8 years and they've successfully adhered to the agreement. Every attempt to renege on this agreement by selfish parties has failed In Lebanon, they have something similar, a national pact where only a Maronite Christian can be the President, a Sunni Muslim the Prime Minister and Shia Muslim the Speaker of Parliament. This may change over time because Lebanon now has more Sunni Muslims than Maronites Christians. We have none such agreements or pact here so what the SE zone should do is to join forces with other zones. As popular as Buhari is in the North, he could not win the presidential election until he joined forces with the SW and some other regions. South East have 3 things to contend with. First, the North who believe it is their right because they have the numbers. Second, the Southwest because they actually have a gentleman's agreement with Buhari that he will support Southwest candidate for 2023. Thirdly, failure among the Southeast region to produce and back a consensus candidate. Whoever is presented by the SE needs as many votes as possible from that region to stand a chance. |
Abuja2canada:Good day @ Abujawcanada. Please how can I join the Telegram Group for BCS? Thanks |
24SEVEN:Better now that it is sparsely populated than later when everywhere is congested. Imagine Lagos trying to do something like this now, they will have to demolish a lot of buildings and compensate which will inflate the project cost. The beautiful thing about Akwa Ibom is that they have a plan developed by Victor Attah and successive governors have continued to implement the plan. When Dubai started their massive infrastructural development, it was sparsely populated too but look at what Dubai is today. Infrastructural development is a very important part of Akwa Ibom's 'Beyond Oil Plan'. |
techmo:A difference of opinion should not lead to insults. He did what he felt was best and many agreed with his decision. Having reserves or savings as a state is not actually a bad thing. How many states in Nigeria have at least 10 billion naira in savings or invested somewhere. Another governor would stolen that money. |
HigherEd:Oga please read the story of Joel Osteen again o. A simple check on google would suffice. 90 people? Father passed the church to him? Na wa. His first sermon was 6 days before his father, John Osteen died and Joel was appointed as Pastor months later by the church board although he was already preaching regularly. Secondly, the church was no where as small as 90 people (may be in the early days) while his father was alive. |
Many will now understand why some churches put certain policies and guidelines in place but we the younger generation where quick to discard and label them old school. Being proactive was their aim, prevent avoidable situations like this one. Getting pregnant out of wedlock is not the end of the world. So sad |
If you look deeper, the foundation of that relationship was not built on friendship but something else. They never really developed the friendship part of the relationship and now that the mushi mushi period is over, she don realize say na Q & A conversations dem dey have since. They can still work things out though but they must both commit to it. And being smart or not has nothing to do with the issue on ground. |
sassiemyk:Wrong to call your opinion the TRUTH. Your opinion remains what it is, your opinion. Others may share a different opinion from you because they see things differently and have information you don't have. For now, party platform matters in Nigerian politics with or without rigging. |
tizzdi:Please have you been able to get the BCS materials? I am interested as well |
Peacecoy19:Exactly |
I personally feel the Discos were sold to the wrong people. |
valiju:Rivers state are part owners of PHED so they won't and that MD was just appointed recently |
And one cannot but wonder if there is an underlying agenda with the influx of Northerners to the south especially at this time. As far as I am concerned, the Nigerian Police are now a threat to this country. They are complicit in all of these and something should be done about them before things get worse. Considering the numbers of states they crossed to get to the Head bridge and that there was an interstate travel ban put in place by the FG, this has become a very alarming situation. A compromised Police is a threat to the nation. |
Please stop this crap. There is interstate travel ban put in place by the Federal Government. How were they able to leave Sokoto in the first place. Also, consider the number of states they crossed to get to Ondo from Sokoto. They should not only be returned to Sokoto but have the driver and all of them jailed. There are laws in place and nobody should be above the law. Most states are overwhelmed as it is and they do not need any additional burden. If they take them in and isolate them, it does not stop there, their welfare is now the problem of the state. Ayade sent back 4 trailer loads of Almajiris, Winke arrested 14 northerners who hid inside a trailer transporting cows to Rivers yesterday, Enugu has a similar issue. The North created this problem and the north should solve it. The Southwest should not depend on the Police to man their borders especially those that are shared with Northern states, Amotekun should be deployed to those areas as well and if possible, Surveillance Cameras should be installed to monitor those strategic locations. Nigerian Police are not dependable, will compromise and allow entry at the sight of money Fasindo: |
awa:To begin with, consultations should have been made with key stakeholders. Winke approach is that of a person just doling out commands and orders, threatening everyone including companies, establishments and traditional rulers. He has not tried to engage anyone and because people don't trust him, I doubt anyone will offer such suggestions because it is not likely he will at least listen to them. |
abobote:That's if he was truly democratically elected. Winke has forgotten that he won't be a governor forever. The thing don enter his head wella no small. I wonder what those hailing him a few weeks ago will be thinking now. On my way back home yesterday, a lot queues, the scary type, at filling stations yesterday as people were trying to refill their gas cylinders and it's been like that for the past 2 days. Same thing at Market Square and Everyday Supermarket. That his gra gra and agbero mentality since he was Chairman of Obalga has not left him. |
There are also very nice areas as well. Gideon110: |
mysteryman2014:This is from Buhari's initial lockdown address "Based on the advice of the Federal Ministry of Health and the NCDC, I am directing the cessation of all movements in Lagos and the FCT for an initial period of 14 days with effect from 11pm on Monday, 30th March 2020. This restriction will also apply to Ogun State, due to its close proximity to Lagos and the high traffic between the two States. All citizens in these areas are to stay in their homes. Travel to or from other states should be postponed. All businesses and offices within these locations should be fully closed during this period. The Governors of Lagos and Ogun States as well as the Minister of the FCT have been notified. Furthermore, heads of security and intelligence agencies have also been briefed." |
edwardds:It is good to listen to your followers but the decision he took to begin with was ill advised. It was not the people he listened to cos a lot of people here were already planning to go church last week till the Religious bodies advised against it. His reversal of the restriction only came after that. Here's a quotable quote for you in case you like them. A good leader will always do what's best for his people regardless of whether they applaud him for it or not. "A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don't necessarily want to go, but ought to be." |
Mozegee:Being courageous and making noise on TV are not synonyms. |
ideology:How sure are you that FG was aware of the actions being taken by Exxonmobil? FG got involved after they workers were arrested. Winke just decided to drag FG into the whole thing as usual. It has become his MO. |
bigiyaro:God bless you Sir. Not that it is the right thing but Winke cannot stop the FG if they got involved. Simple as that. They do not even need use military choppers. Na that same road they will use. |
fashrola:When you make an assertive statement like "Rivers state has the highest numbers of foreign expatriates in the country", then you need to back it up with proof. Lagos has always been the state expected to be the main hotspot in Nigeria followed by Abuja, then Ogun cos of its proximity to Lagos. The more relevant info actually is that Lagos is the busiest entry point into country and if you go to MMA, you will discover that Nigerians actually travel a lot. A governor that was ready to relax restrictions and put them in danger just to look good in the eyes of the same people is who you are hailing o |
mysteryman2014:The fact that PMB did not state it during the broadcast does not mean the governors of Lagos and Ogun where not in the know. Let's take Ogun for instance, the lock down in Ogun did not take effect on the date PMB announced because Dapo Abiodun had ask for a few more days for his people before commencing the lock down. |
Drizzy5001:Don't forget that PETER AYODELE FAYOSE was more outspoken than this. Where is he today? Since "Winke" has been attacking those at the center, no one has responded to him. They don't see him as a threat but as a noise maker. Politics at the center is different from gra gra wey Mr. cracked voice dey do. |

.... Does He have You at heart
