odimbannamdi: As soon as you get interviewed, you should be free to go. In the 2016, on the 11th day (which was a Sunday), results of the extensive medical tests (that had lasted for around 3days or so) were announced and the likes of Yourd Sincerely were evicted. That same morning, they ran the 3.2km race. I witnessed them run the race, thereafter i left. The next morning, when i called my guys, they informed me that they were interviewed that same day and that they took the night bus home. As they spoke with me that morning, they were already at their homes in Abia state.
You see, the army incurs heavy costs for each day we all remaining in screening, so i think they would prefer to finish all on time to save those overhead costs.
So, be sure you will leave as soon as possible.
For the training resumption, i cant say emphatically coz i am obviously not the COAS. But from my own personal calculation, the army loves to do the POP of the RC and SSC cadets at the same time to save costs and pageantry, and this is usually in September. So if my calculation is correct, January is quite feasible coz it will be exactly 9 months from January to September.
But dont take my words hook, line and sinker. They are mere speculations. The COAS and MS decide that Then if that be the case the interview will be December cos form ends November last day I think |

Gentlelord: Boss odimbannamdi and GenAnsahcinc I just learnt that in NA enlistment there is nothing like zonal exam like in NAF and NN. it is just direct shortlistment for screening. what do you think one need to do to get shortlisted, and on what basis do you think they (NA) do this selection I wish I could put ur name on number 30 but my guy even me can't put mine. Kidding though the truth of this whole army thing is down to whom u know, some say na random selection but me as a person did not believe because thousands applied and there are kings, reps, senators, generals, as well as prominent ppl that have wards who wishes to join and mind u this is Nigeria. But this is sure if we are destined to be taken it won't pass us by even with our little effort. Don't be scared if this is ur first time of trying some ppl have been trying for years and haven't given up so tighten ur belt pray and try ur best. Remember victory is from God alone |

Seriously guyz when u are trying to correct an attitude from someone u don't join in doing the same thing u are accusing that person of doing. Gen his trying his best although anger set in but yet if u are trying to learn u should have approached from a better angle all the same am saying sorry to all the parties involve. Army board interview is fun and tedious I must say but mind u have nver been there so I heard all we need to do is to prepare our minds, our body, our brain and pray to God for favour from the first shortlisting. Ppl like myself are die hard army wannabe but love observing from the shadows and I pray we shall me at the finish line. Victory is from God alone |

GenAnsahCinC: Let me tell you a little thing about Nigerian military (Army in particular).
90% of things in the army need a godfather.
To get enlisted you need godfather. Very few get it by merit. And before you get it by merit you must be 100% qualified.
To get promotions in some cases, you need godfather (especially if you are RC or SSC) regardless whether you have passed the promotional exams or not. There will get to a point where your promotion will depend on godfather and not exams.
To get certain appointments you need godfather. There are many SSC who get good appointments than RC guys. Everything boils down to who you know in the system.
To be picked for missions and courses in foreign countries (in most cases) you need godfather.
To get service extension you need godfather.
There are officers who get retired once the reach the age limit for their ranks and their colleagues with the same age don't get retired. This is because the latter have godfather.
That professional certification you are being required to possessed only applies to applicants without strong networks.
If you have a strong network I urge you to apply. Whether you have ICAN or not you will be picked.
There are many people in the system who didn't meet the requirements but they are there.
I know three RC officers whose WAEC certificates were older than the required year as the time the apply for NDA and the were picked. Two of them are Lt now. While one will be passing out next year.
The reason I told you earlier to go for NN or NAF was because those branches of service are a bit fair in their dealings compare to Army.
But if you have the big shot, apply for Army. With or without being a member of any professional bodies you will be picked..
There are many things I'd like to tell you about the military but for some reasons I won't.
Just try your best.
I wish you success. now this is the truth of the matter godfather |
