You hate death...you hate death...without death, there is no essence of life.

Just do your time purposefully and get the fvck outta here (hopefully at old age) when the time comes. Good luck. grin

He should shut the fvck up.

He was also interested majorly in the fame in the early days of his career. ..

It's after carving a niche for himself with 'trashy alaba movies' that he's now 'careful of the scripts he selects'.

My point- when he was new, he was no different.

New actors oh, old ones sef, they all need to step their games up sharply.

Someone that has a right to talk in this context is Nse Ikpe Etim or Omoni Oboli. They've been quality-focused actresses, not minding if they aren't as 'popular' as their counterparts.

venabili: no. First is 2kg while d 2nd is 576(u can see all sides except d base)
Na wa o.

The first question,

Let brick= B

Following the question literally,
B= 1 Kg + 1/2B

B-1/2B= 1Kg

1/2B= 1Kg

B= 2Kg.

Second question,

Dunno how to explain it 'cos it's a bit muddled up. Just know that the top layer is visible...dat makes the invisible ones 9. The two at the edges make the other ones 8x 8.

But it's 8×8×9 sides= 576.

Me sef see the HOT slap! grin
Nice one shaa!
Aww..I would edit it soon bro.

Abeg, is the 'nice' for the slap or the script? grin grin

And places you could get, how far with the dialogue? And pacing of the script itself since it's a feature film script and what I posted here are the first few scenes?

Your response would be appreciated.

Prof too should pls talk on the questions I raised.

prof800: No ooo, I see many things.

The good thing about writting is that it is jus like music --- at first, you'll learn to play by the rules, then when you're good enough you'll fvck all the rules and learn to play with your heart and find your own personal STYLE.

For now, I can see you're beginning to pick up style, tho inadvertently.
This looks like a character-driven story. Because you're getting us acquainted with the characters without us being worried about the plot. So we decide which character to love, to hate, to pity, or to feel like jumping into the screen to kill! It's a good thing.

This looks like something that would contain a considerable percentage of 'local language' (going by mrs alao's character).
BUT, it is still an English script, so you'll have to write all that 'YORUBA' in 'ENGLISH'!
The yoruba translation should be written in the "character's bible". But Mrs. Alao's (and everyone else's) dialogue should be written in English.

As in:

MRS ALAO
(in YORUBA)
Are you not going to prepare meal for us?

(I dey come oooo...make I enter moto)
I appreciate the lecture, my prof. Didn't know I had a particular style sha...well, now I've been told. grin

You're right, it's a character-driven story. Though, I intend to build the plot gradually as the script progresses. But more than that, I want people to feel all those emotions you listed for the characters and make them as 3D as possible.

Thanks for the 'local language' tip. I will edit later. And yes, it's still an ENGLISH script grin

I appreciate sir.

I hope Villageboi isn't discouraged to read it 'cos of the 'Yoruba statements without translation'.

CultureRe: Reliance On Divine Intervention: An Excuse For Laziness by sholay2011(m): 5:55am On Jul 09, 2014
God bless you OP!

I've been thinking of creating this kind of thread.

My naija people...
Almost more religious than the pope...
They use religion to shy away from responsibilities. ..
All their problems are caused by their 'enemies'...
None is a result of their (un) doings...
Hypocrisy is the bane of their existence...
Seeking for miracles that mean their neighbour must be hurt,
No true love for God or their fellow man, just selfish ambition,
Condemning what they don't understand, instead of first opening listening ears,
Forgetting the same God gave us brains to differentiate us from robots,
They forget science itself is a miracle (isn't God omniscient huh),
Even with no faith, they can pray for days for magic miracle,
And when God is talking to them,
They refuse to listen, because His words don't affirm who they are,
Then they bind Him as the devil.
The devil is actually the person that commits whatever atrocity they're (unfortunately) caught doing,
It's never them, always the devil that just uses them,
Even they, are ahead of the devil in the deception game,

God help us.

For those who will like to buy yoruba books, you can check local bookshops around.
I recommend 'Abinnueni'. Read it way back in JS 2 I think.

Quite interesting.
