And just so you know, Sheillah also dreamt that Tayo won, even if she clearly didn't want Tayo to win. Story for the gods. |

Idris would give her a shocker. Prophet Trezagah don talk am: he dreamt Idris was the winner; even if he clearly wanted Tayo to win. |

sigmundfreud: So Sipe, Butterphly and MamBear made it to the finals without really doing anything Lol. They did something joor...na you no notice them. Sipe- Applies makeup dutifully; carefully walking in the steps of Pokello. Butterfry- Packs, unpacks, packs. ..and unpacks her bags. Really strenuous task I must say. MammaMia- Being a good girl will take you far; clinging to Uti will take you farther. |

spade: Ellah is Biggie's girlfriend. I refuse to believe he'd let her go now; but even at that, I still see Ellah as the favored East African among the two (she and Idris). So, don't be surprised if Idris bounces with one vote. Namibians seem to be campaigning for both Idris and JJ, but, knowing the Zim prowess (large Zimbabwean presence in Nam), I see JJ taking that vote... But would that be enough? That is the question. My predictions: Tayo - NG, GH, ROA Ellah - UG, KEN(?) Idris - TZ (I just find it hard to believe Kenyans would abandon a Ugandan here for any reason) Goitse - BW, RW JJ - ZW, NA Trezagah - MZ Sheillah - SA Sipe - MW, ZM Tayo, JJ and Ellah survive... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....... |

spade: In other words, you haven't been voting? Okay, the real nominees are: Ellah Goitse Idris JJ Sheillah Sipe Tayo Trezagah Five might bite it tomorrow, leaving us with a Top Seven. What are your predictions? Yes oo. I haven't been voting. And I only voted once last year for Dillish. I just choose my favourite and enjoy the show. If five go tomorrow, I see Tayo, Idris and JJ/Goitse surviving. Hmmm...but I don't see Ella going home...dunno why. But I refuse to include her sha. |

chrisviral: Tell them bro, they think BBA is for you to show case your moral rightness, it's not, please entertain us in any way possible and Tayo is doing it, I love him for that!
Btw: abeg supply me 5 more carton of Tayo water, I dey on shortage oo. What are you saying If it was "moral rightness", we would all be vying for Ma'am Bea to win naa. The essence of BBA is to explore hhuman psychology, interaction, especially when they are from vastly different backgrounds, with a prize in view. It shows how far some people are willing to go, do or undo for the love of money sometimes. Hopefully, the viewers are entertained by all of these. I don't confuse 'housemates' quarell' with entertainment. I don't think hurling insults and being a loud mouth makes you necessarily entertaining. In fact, it is subjective. While BBA isn't about morality, everyone has a certain type and level of 'immorality' or 'weakness' that they can take. Or why didn't Ofunneka win upon all her morality, except for the fin.gering saga? Some ppl can bear Tayo's mouth diarrhoea but find Idris' bed-hopping irritating, also vice versa. Ella's unstable emotions would make her lose votes but Goitse's dull attitude nko? Sadly, I deal with individuals on the show and not because someone is from my country. And I don't call every social interaction-gone-haywire entertainment. And I can't just tolerate Tayo's weakness (just like I can't bear Oneal's ITK last year), so, that's why some of us aren't supporting your supposed 'entertainment'. You are welcome. |
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by sholay2011(m): 10:20pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
This is just the main reason I'm not supporting Tayo: I can't be friends with someone like him in real life. Forget he's the alpha male nonsense people are spewing here, he has mouth diarrhoea and hot temper. I can't imagine if it was another housemate that did this (to say, Lilian), I am sure the reaction won't be the same. Safarigirl, you'd better go work on yourself (the way you shout you're hot-tempered and that's "you" if what you say here is true. Nobody is perfect; we all have our weaknesses, but not working on our weakness and making them define us under the umbrella of 'that's me; you either accept me for who I am or you fvck out' is pure bullcrap. I also had temper then but I have improved greatly. Silence is sometimes golden. Tayo is 28? He should work on himself and garner some social intelligence. That doesn't mean Sheila isn't at fault. PS: Tayo's fans shouldn't quote me...maybe Safarigirl sha. |

osahons9: Your reasons for choosing the school was weak. She gave you another chance again to tell her why you chose the school, again you blew it. You got the initial part of the curriculum although you didn't say anything about the ranking. I feel the second part was where u messed up. You would have said it's because of a research done by the prof that it tallies with your research interest and you want to join the research team.
Now you will need to know more about d research. Incase they ask what d research is all about and relate it to the industry or sector you want to work in when u return home (WE KNOW THE STORY)
What I noticed yesterday was that people cram answers and when a different questions comes up they off balance. Read, cram and understand. You will know when to explain and when to give crammed answers.
Refire bro.
All the best Thanks. |

Hello.
Went for my interview today and was denied. The VO that attended to me was a white lady.
Me: Hello. VO: Hello. Please, place your four right hand fingers on the bla bla...
I fingerprinted.
VO: So, why did you choose Oklahoma State University? Me: Well, I chose Oklahoma State University because it's a land grant institution that gets enough funding through allocated federal lands which are invested into practical teaching of agriculture.
VO: How did you get to find out about the school? Me: I searched for top schools offering my course of study using usnews.com and applied to three of them.
VO: So, why did you choose Oklahoma State University over others? Me: Well, their curriculum is more focused on my area of specialization and I have already developed a close relationship with Professor Larry Sanders via email whose research interest is the same as mine.
VO: Have you been to the US before? Me: No, I've not had a reason to.
VO: Who will be sponsoring you? Me: My father.
VO: What does he do? Me: * Mentioned his rank in the Customs*
VO: Okay.
She types for a while and then brings out the devilish blue paper (I was heart broken)
VO: I'm sorry...we wouldn't be able to... (couldn't really hear the rest).
Gurus in the house should please look into my transcript and suggest what I should have done better because I'm considering reapplying. I spoke loudly and a bit slowly, maintained eye contact and gesticulated when necessary.
The woman though had denied like five people before me sha. All is well.
Congrats to those that got theirs. |

spade: I pray they both survive, just to split the EA vote. Macky2 really should have picked Butterphly. That way, the evictees would have been Trezagah, Sheillah, Goitse, Butterphly and maybe Sipe. Calculations would have still been intact, and Tayo's chances would have still been fairly strong. But, again, it's all good. You'd better don't kill yourself with calculations and permutations here and there. Just saying. .. |
