“But even assuming that he was correct. This is a government that has money in excess the amount he mentioned in the Treasury Single Account, TSA.

“It is just like you, a bank customer operating two accounts, one in the red and the other, well-funded to the point that it can at any time wipe the indebtedness on the other. Would any bank manager lose their sleep over this?

“This, I am told is what the IMF found at the CBN and they said it is perfectly normal,” he explained.

This confused governor! When he was commissioning stupid free feeding schemes didn't he claim that Osun people were just too poor to be taxed?
In a bid to make PDP look bad and make himself popular he claimed Osun people are too poor to be taxed, but now he wants to tax them.

Johnnyessence:
the state government will pay and they will contribute their own quota to the state economy. They will even boost the state IGR more.

Omockery has managed to link Fulani brethen of El rufai to BH all in his bid to keep his master relevant and APC down. To me El rufai's revelation was an attempt to draw a subtle comparism of Fulani herdsmen terrorist to ND millitant as well as make a amnesty case for them.

Atiku should stop wasting money he is suppose to invest into BEDC. He should go reform BEDC he bought with questionable wealth and prove himself as a technocrat instead of obsessing over Aso Rock. People are in darkness because of 600k transformers.

but the schools re supposed to generate revenue. wat happen to the school fees and other fees students pay.
Those fees hardly cover 10% of the expenses the students use up. The last time I read about it in 2014, the FG claimed it spent average of N300k subsidizing each fed uni grad annually.

Capital expenditure/project also give birth recurrent expenditure. Example is the twelve new university built by Goodluck Jonathan admin but Buhari's admin must equip/power/maintain them annually and pay salaries monthly.

El rufai is clearly making a case for his brethren to be give the amnesty. If not how did they escape so easily but we traced to another country and paid?
Politics › Re: Can Someone Explain These Terms "recurrent" & "capital" Expenditure by Sibrah: 9:44am On Dec 03, 2016
They (mods) hardly see this type of thread for fp.
Recurrent expenditiure are those expenditure that are recurring in nature. Salary = monthly, rep allowance = quarterly, govt vehicles = some 2 yrs, others 3 yrs.
There are some underground recurrent expenditures like dollar auction A.K.A. Floating the Naira and it is done weekly but not featured in budget. That's the one partly causing hardship today.

If true, this the dumbest thing ever. Unless of course El Rufai is secretly working towards his white imperialist masters' agenda of covertly destroying Nigeria.
He is subtly making a case for hir brethren. How can you pay criminals? He is advancing amnesty argument for them, simple.
Politics › Re: We’ve Paid Some Fulani To Stop Killings In Southern Kaduna – El-rufai by Sibrah: 9:24am On Dec 03, 2016
El rufai is trying to draw parallel with ND militant here. What does he mean by paying them in their own country? How did they escaped out of Nigeria when you know them?

Did Buhari generate these monies he has been dashing to kleptomaniac state governors since he always claim he met an empty treasury? What is the guarantee that these governors will not loot this money like they did the bailout money. I hope states like Anambra who are up to date in salary payment will also benefit from this awoof money this time.

This is what I was expecting Buhari to do but he killed the vision of private partnership the day he scolded Wale Tinubu and Tony Elumelu for being invited by the CBN Governor to be part of the delegates to meet US Investors during Buhari's first US visit after his inauguration as president of Nigeria because we adjudged them corrupt and not qualified to go with him.
Our problem isn't ideas but capital. We are neck deep in debt.
