I heard he tried in Kaduna while he was Governor. He's also had stints in the private sector. Even in WikiLeaks, the US ambassador had good things to write about him.

He's my Uncle's set in Federal Enugu and he's an active member of btheir old students association. Infact I'm told he speaks Igbo language.

I like him and I also think he's a unifier.

Skyscraper 6/10

A generic, mildly entertaining movie. Dwayne Johnson just took an easy paycheck with this one. Didn't even have to stretch his acting chops. Movie's so predictable, you can predict which direction the plot's going if you've half a brain. It's definitely not blowing any minds but it will keep you a bit entertained for 100 minutes.
This is just a movie for when you've got nothing else to do and you just need to pass the time looking at a screen. Not bad that you'll regret watching it. But not so good that you'll be mind-blown by what you watched.
Is it out on websites or you saw it in the cinema?

The navy needs to get out there and regulate. We cant let illegal fishers take fish then cry when our fish import bill is sky high.
Unfortunately we neither have enough warships/boats nor men to police our waters.

In addition to the asians illegally fishing in our waters, Captain Jack Sparrow's boys are also very much active in our waters (Niger Delta).

PoliticsRe: Labour Party Disowns PDP, R-APC Coalition by signz: 8:01pm On Jul 11, 2018
Labour Party have factions, Mike Omotosho heads the faction backed by NLC (Oshiomole) and the other faction is loyal to Mimiko.

It will be a loss to CUPP if this statement is coming from the faction backed by Mimiko. But since it's coming from a faction backed by NLC, no cause for alarm.

Nope... wrong on two counts. The ball was heading off target and secondly, it did touch Etebo before going in. But take nothing away from Etebo. He was outstanding Yesterday and showed why Onazi should get a tighter seatbelt to stay really glued to that bench. cheesy

And you are right, we are still in with a chance but that is only if we start our best and bring our A-Game against Iceland. Iceland is far more disciplined than Croatia and will be super hard to break down.
Hopefully Iceland will not park the bus against us like they did against Argentina.

Stop using tired legs!!!

Most of our players were lazy and lousy on the pitch and I believe its a sign of old age catching up with them. Go round Nigeria, watch the NPFL matches, there are a lot of young talents waiting to be given a chance. Stop using tired legs!
It's one thing to be Talented and another to develop that Talent.

NPFL is the grave yard of talents due to poor organisation and extremely poor coaching.

As for Yesterday's match, our defence and defensive midfielders were good but creative midfielders were absent. As usual they left our 9 isolated and ineffective.

I'm told Djibouti have 3 seaports.

Nigeria with our population and size should have more.

Lagos seaports will still be very viable whenever Ibom deepseaport, calabar and warri comes online.

All these seaports will be viable in a Restructured Nigeria wink

I'm surprised that a lot of us do not understand the problem facing Igboland and truth be told, the problems will persist until some drastic is done deliberately by the Igbo leadership.

Our number one problem we have in Igboland is BRAIN DRAIN. If we're asked to name some of the most successful Igbo men and women, i can bet that 80% of them do not live or have their businesses in the south-east. You cant grow when your best brains are not their to help out. That's why we will keep lagging behind. Unlike the Yorubas who have their best brains in Lagos (Yorubaland), ours are also in Lagos, Abuja, Port-hacourt and other parts of Nigeria. Until Agbakoba opens his law firm in Enugu or Onitsha, Chimamanda moves to Enugu or Nsukka, Peter Obi moves his superstore to Onitsha, Uche Nnaji moves his clothing line to Aba, Kanu Nwankwo and Okocha build academies somewhere in Igboland, nothing will change. The little development you are seeing in the east is due majorly to Igbos who are based in the east. The best Igbos have done is to buld residential houses in their various villages where they hardly live.

The government also has a share of the blame because they are supposed to be the drivers of an economic revolution. If the governors of Anamra, Enugu, Imo, Abia and Ebonyi cannot even replicate 50% of the gargantuan projects that can be found in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, then let's not expect any change.
I quite agree with you.

However, it can be claimed that without restructuring the state Governors can't do much.

Any ideas how we can bring back our Brains & reducing brain drain in the east?

I don't know why it's so hard for these cheap contractors to appreciate that flowers and trees convert a concrete, prison looking structure into a conducive home environment. They will spend the same amount in construction, due to poor finishing without flowers,Paint color, their structure always look mediocre meant for a cheap hood.

They should go to Abuja and see how luxury flats are built and the environment lavished with flowers. Hopefully, they will still plant flowers and make the flats look like luxury apartments after they beef up the environment with flowers and trees.

Right now, the fact they will finish the area without any consideration to plant flower and trees to beautify, makes the concrete structure very very ugly. Another ugly concrete crap.
I think it's time Our House of Assembly pass a law prohibiting building houses without Landscape.

Example, for any building occupying a plot/half plot there must be so so number of tree/s, flowers and so so sq meter of natural grass (lawn).

If it's an estate, in addition to making sure each building has a space for lawn and flowers, there must be a park (filled with so so # of trees, flowers and lawn).

I just saw the type of road being constructed by Dave Umahi in Ebonyi state, concrete road to be topped with asphalt. Is this not what our governors should be doing here too. Ugwuanyi should please explore this alternative to the current roads being built in Enugu state.
This road is at Okposi junctio, Ebonyi state.
This is exactly the type of road Dangote constructing in Apapa Lagos.

Now we're talking. As much as i think that Nigeria has stunted our progress as a people, i still think we hold our destiny in our hands. Uyo or Calabar may not be anywhere close to Lagos or Abuja but they have carved a niche for themselves. How about we start from there. How about we have governors who would maybe build something in the mold of Tinapa, Obudu or Ibom tropicana. That's what i meant when i said that there's nothing we have that others don't. We even get to the ridiculous level where we celebrate shoprite in Enugu.

If it's tourism, we want to focus on, let;s build the biggest theme park in Nigeria. If it's sports, let's beat the Uyo International stadium by building something better. How about we build big film studios like Donal Duke did in Tinapa. How about we start a carnival and publicize it like the Calabar festival. How about we build a model university that will compete with the best in Africa. Let's just do something, anything.
Years back, I heard a story (rumour) that Gov Chimaroke wanted to build a Nollywood Village in Oji River LG. It was Late Amaka Isaac Igwe that I heard write the proposal.

Dear...check through the team...all you see are defensive midfielders...really little or no creative midfielders..save for mikel.
I think it will be good if we get at least a back up for every position..even though not too impressive but should be above average...
how I wish kelechi nwakali has matured enough...that will definitely be after the world cup...tho.

I still remember without a fit CR7 in the last world cup...the Portuguese played trash...likewise the Argentineans turned to average team without messi....
sometimes we really can't tell what the future holds....
Maybe we should've tried Aluko or Ajagun. These are the only known experienced creative midfielders we have now.
