Ugwuanyi is a lazy governor, after Sullivan toiled and moved all the faculties in campus 3 and msp to agbani. This toad of man wants to spread them back to other areas again, what’s the point of having a well built permanent site which sit on hundreds of acres of land? Politicians go just carry dey waste money anyhow. Instead to use that money maintain and upgrade already existing infrastructure, they go about duplicating the same thing their predecessors built and finished off during their regime.

Exactly!!!!

Billions of Naira would have been saved if everything goes to Agbani as planned.

In 21st century, our leaders still believe that tertiary institutions are the only way to spread development.

Indeed this decision has shown that the governor is Lazy.

There's more than enough land in Agbani for Esut expansion.

It's unfortunate that Ugwuanyi is not a wise man.

You guys should embrace the right way of doing things instead of doing them the same way since the end of colonization. Stop building houses with block and cement. Build brick houses whose outer exterior does not need to be painted for at least 200 years. European and American civilizations have never built block and cement houses since 3000 years. That's why some of the stuff that Greek civilization, ancient Rome civilization built is still standing. The Notre Dame cathedral that just went up in flames was built 1000 years ago and have stayed the way it was built without one drop of paint. All the federal structures built by Americans since 200 years ago are still standing without one drop of paint, because they were built with materials that don't need exterior paint ie bricks, granite and marble.

At least, from my observations, more than 95% of buildings I've seen in the US was not built with cinder block and cement.

Please, stop the mediocrity!!

Stop building gutters. Gutter is not a drainage system, because the waters in nigerian gutters do not drain. A drainage system is a system of pipes that empties the rain water it collects at designated points.

Please, you people should use your INTELLIGENCE. All the stuff being built in igboland is RUBBISH.

I guess it's because bricks are more expensive.

Update on the Enugu Specialist hospital Orba

The first phase of the 200 bedded Specialist Hospital located in a wide Acre of land owned by ovoko, Iheaka, Imilike and Orba is 90% complete. The asphalt pathways in the facility has been awarded and contractor set to mobilize to site.
The specialist hospital facility is a four phased construction.
The second phase which will include Doctors Quarters, medical Student Hostels etc is set to commence once the remnant 10% of the first phase is completed.

Apologies for the low picture qualities

Good news.

However, I thought that Bishp Shanaham hospital is a state owned hospital and it would've been cheaper if the hospital is upgraded. Except if there's no space for expansion.

Please we need more pictures of infrastructural development in the state or is Gburugburu on break wink

This is a good addition to our armoury. However the problem is that such additions are normally so few.

GEJ bought Chinese MRAPs but they were few too and also I read somewhere this admin had received over 20 MRAPs from US in 2016. I'm not sure all these are enough to prosecute this war.

Let's not forget we have a lack of maintenance culture in Nigeria.

Importers still bring in goods without NAFDAC numbers by bribing nafdac officials.

He is a player with huge amounts of potential that's yet to be seen, after one season of continuous consistent first team football. We may then understand why Bournemouth payed £20 million for him, l still think it's a big gamble.

But him playing for Nigeria l just really can not see it happening.

That's when I see people advocating for Rohr's sack I just hiss and pass

I was on Traffic listening to Lagos talks 91.3 sports program around 8am and the sports analyst said that Balogun was match rusty shocked. The Balogun I saw yesterday was so good.

They're also not fans of Rohr for dropping Lokosa and picking Simi for the World cup. Infact they're angry that Rohr doesn't have faith in our home based players.

It'll be easier for a Carmel to pass their the eye of a needle than for Igbos to get Biafra with a favourable trade agreement with a Nigeria that'll be antagonistic to us. Let's not forget,we don't have access to the sea.

In the forseeable future, Nigeria will be restructured to work. Decades of bad economic policies, Buhari's addiction to debts and security challenges will force the leaders to restructure. We're already on our way to Greece and Venezuela type of economic problem, our creditors China, IMF, EU (because of illegal immigration), etc will step in and dictate how we'll run our economy and the economy can't be run successfully without restructuring.

But before then, we must put pressure on our governors to fix not just infrastructures, but our educational system. Few months back a top tech start up owner twitted about wanting to relocate to Enugu because Lagos is becoming uninhabitable, now what infrastructures are in place in Enugu to attract more techies? Enugu government can look for a way to attract telecoms company/ies that will lay fibre optic cables for fast and reliable internet, tax/duty incentives, clean environment with trees, lawns and flowers, etc.

I wish someone or people can open a radio station like Radio Biafra where OAPs will highlight/proofer solutions to the problems of Igboland, criticise governors who perform poorly, phone in programs. Let it be a pro restructuring and Igbos think of home kind of Radio station.

1) We need more goalkeeping options:Uzoho is not good enough

2) Mikel needs to get back to the team :Rohr should settle whatever rift he has with Mikel because when Iwobi is not at his best the team lacks creativity

3) We desperately need a set piece taker: Apart from Etebo nobody is decent enough on setpieces and being a tall team that was what we should be capitalizing on

4) The search for a good striker continues : Onuachu has flattered to deceive on his debut, that means Nigeria still seeks a replacement or competition for Ighalo, I advice Rohr to look to Mfom Udoh who has been banging goals in the NPFL for seasons now

5) NFF should listen to Rohr about stadium choices :The match played in Asaba hindered the players instead of bringing out the creativity in them and being so close to Afcon the Super Eagles need to be playing on a good pitch to bring them to rhythm

6) Onyekuru is a star player : despite mesmerizing the opponents in the Seychelles match, Onyekuru recorded two headers one resulting to a goal, more than any other Nigerian player and for the smallest player on the pitch that is quite an achievement

7) The Nigerian crowd need to wake up :Apart from the Supporters club the rest of the stadium was silent and spectating instead of supporting, In the U-23 match against Libya the Nigerian team needs the crowd behind them

I disagree with you on point 4 about Onuachu. Our midfield didn't create any chance for him to shine and our wingers/wing backs didn't cross the ball for him to make good use of his height.

We need his height in the super eagles, he can be our Peter Crouch or Fellaini.

When Buhari was campaigning for 2015, did he not go to America for support? Didnt Obama record a message to Nigerians? Didn't John Kerry visit Buhari and Tinubu in Nigeria? When you start something, don't blame others for continuing on that path. If not for the threat of foreign military intervention, African leaders will not vacate the presidential seat after losing election. The Gbagbo precedence continues to haunt African leaders. And the chance that any African leader who's believed by foreign observers to have lost an election and insist on rigging or manipulating the election will be removed by the use of force is very high. If African leaders did not want this to happen to them, they shouldn't have allowed France and the US start it in the ivory coast.

Buhari knows his chances of reelection are very slim. So now he is complaining of the lion he rode to aso rock.

They even hired Obama's campaign manager, David Axlerod as Apc's campaign consultant for the 2015 elections.

You need a law to unbundled NNPC, that's why we have been clamouring for PIGB. NNPC is an act in our constitution.

I know that over the years, we've developed enough Local content capacity to do most things in the oil industry. Neconde, a subsidiary of Nestoil doesn't have a foreign technical partner. Rather it partners with NPDC.

If NNPC were as productive and profitable as Gazprom, Petrobras, etc we wouldn't have been talking about selling them. NNPC is going down under a huge debt coupled with satanic corruption. I have no problem with state owned companies that are doing profitably and productively well.

We can go back and forth with this and I'm all in this debate because I believe that this is one of the best solution to the problem of NNPC. Unbundle and sell major stakes/useless assets, tie the money to projects that can be seen and impact felt.

Buhari not signed any 1st phase of PIGB.

PIGB will take care of your fears in your 2 paragraph. Incase you don't know in the PIGB, NNPC will be unbundled. Nigerian Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NPRC) will be in charge of regulation. Nigerian Petroleum Assets Management Company and
Nigerian Petroleum Company (NPC) maybe incharge of the 10% FG shares.infact, i read that NPC will replace NNPC and tis to be operated as a commercial entity that pays dividends in addition to Royalties and taxes.

You forgot that there are indigenous oil exploration companies that may not be affected and may even move to bridge the gap Incase of any sanction. We have Nestoil, Conoil, Oando, etc. In addition to NPDC or NPC when PIGB is signed into law. So again, fear not.

In those countries that you mentioned, if you check their corruption index, you'll find out that they're in a better position than Nigeria. If you decide to go further, you'll realise they have more competent hands in their civil service because they have a system that encourages merit based performance unlike here where we've gotten rid of competence or merit and replaced them with Nepotism, uncommon corruption, quota system, etc.

I repeat we can survive and thrive on taxes.

You guys don't seem to know anything about shipping business. That area is very notorious for piracy, kidnappings and militant activities. This will make shipping insurance cost very high. The same way people talked about calabar free trade zone back then.
Upon all the noise and investments, ships don't come anymore. The cost of shipping 40ft container from US to Lagos is about $1500 while from US to Calabar is about $4500. Ask me why, it is because of the high level of piracy in that particular side of the Gulf of Guinea that makes the insurance cost shoot up.The same area Ibom deep sea port will be located.
Make your area safe so that investments will come to avoid divestment.

We know but Lagos State is sinking under the weight of being the only seaport in Nigeria. But o believe if there's a political will to fight Piracy in the gulf of guinea, in 1 year we'll get rid of Piracy in that region.

Even in ancient times, Roman empire stopped Piracy in whole sea under the empire. England, France, Spain, etc were able to stop Piracy too (disregard the exploits of a certain Captain Jack Sparrow wink ).

These empires did this with with just ships, men, guns and compass. Even if the Pirates operating in the Gulf of Guinea are well equipped, The Nigerian Navy can acquire more sophisticated weaponry, helicopters and can call on the Army/Airforce for help. If all fails, we can call on USA to station a fleet permanently in the gulf of guinea.

Are we saying that we've lost both the deserts (to Boko Haram, Herdsmen Terrorists, cross border bandits) and a huge part of our territorial waters to Pirates

Becaaue of our inability to have another functional seaport, Benin republic is now the unofficial 2nd seaport of Nigeria. We're losing billions of dollars not just to cotonou but also Togo.

Let me advise you for free, when you see a thread you don't understand, keep quiet and learn from those that have a clue, if that kleptomaniac Atiku suggested restructuring of the NNPC which Kachikwu is already working on BTW, it will be pardonable, but selling it outrightly is madness.

NNPC is not just a money maker, it is equally a regulator, have you heard any country sold her regulator? Like the US selling FDA or NTSA, are you guys ok?
Sell ppmc, Ok!!, sell the refineries, ok!! Sell our JVs ok!! But sell NNPC? Thats madness.

You mentioned making cool fx, you think it works that way? How can you make cool fx from an industry you sold your regulatory powers? What becomes of your environment after making cool fx?
You sell your stakes then go home to make cool fx, what a myopic individual you are, so foreigners will now control your resources but you want resource control for the Niger delta abi? You think these foreigners are here to protect your interest abi? Wait till they tell you that Nigeria doesn't have the capacity to produce 500k bbls per day.

Have you heard about intl sanctions before? When you leave your soul in the hands of foreigners, when they comply with their countries directives what becomes of you? go and ask Zimbabwe, Iran and Venezuela how well it worked for them in that situation.

How can a sane human being sign up for enslavement because you want to sit idly and make cool fx?
How well did it work for you when MTN monopolized your telecom sector? Per second billing is not possible, does that sound familiar?

You spoke of being a conduit of corruption, have you forgotten how the assets Atiku sold ended up? Where are your free trade zones Atiku concessioned? Isn't that corruption? Atiku sits at home collects 26% from all the oil and gas companies in Nigeria using the FTZ in the name of concession, what is he doing there that NPA can not do? Why do we need a middle man to manage something as little as ports? Is that not corruption?
Meanwhile we are making trillions from Apapa managed by NPA.

It is either you don't know what NNPC does or you are on drugs

Kachikwu working on what Kachikwu that worked with the NASS to pass for the 1st time since 99 PIGB, only for Buhari to reject it over a flimsy excuse. Kachikwu is a minister without portfolio.

Atiku said that he'll sign PIGB into law making NNPC only a regulator. Meanwhile, he said he'll sell 90% of NNPC.

Sanctions? Even now we can be sanctioned by intl community and nobody will buy our oil. So your sanctions argument is nonsense.

Thank God that you mentioned MTN. The sector is being regulated by NCC. Now why can't NNPC be made to function like NCC? You shouldn't be a player in match you're also refereeing.

See we should reduce power at the center. History has shown that any company managed by Govt whether state or federal is bound to fail simply because of corruption. That's how most of the old money made their ill gotten wealth.

NNPC from the day it was found have been enmeshed from one corruption scandal to another. Even up till this day, the corruption stories emanating from there is insane. So it makes common sense here to separate the goat from the yam. Sell NNPC assets, let the money be tied to life changing projects like health, education, infrastructures, etc.
