Jobs/VacanciesRe: More Writers Are Needed For Long-term Project by silkytouch(m): 7:30am On Aug 12, 2017
You guys sound exaclty like those Bengalese on Freelancerdotcom, dishing out the strictest and stiffest rules with laughable pay.
You dont have to sound so hard on your adverts to drive home a point.
If you threaten people with no pay for a poorly written content, you really would have problems having long term writers on your payroll.
Show that you can be a good employer and you are sure to have good employees.
BusinessRe: Which Business Can I Start With 2million Naira. by silkytouch(m): 9:48am On Aug 07, 2017
With ¼ of that money you can start something that brings steady weekly income, then you can make and execute bigger plans using that springboard.

In two years' time with a little luck you would have more than 2 branches wherever your location happens to be.

You will have to carry out a little survey of areas and locations around you. A choice area would be a place almost always busy: students presence, residential buildings, offices, hostels, market place.

A Bet9ja shop situated at a place with some or all these things would give you an income of between 80-150k weekly.

I can break it down a little further if you like.

Chair is chair

This exactly is the same thing that happened to Nigerians when we ordered change.

We had a chair and wanted a bigger chair. APC promised us change and we ended up sitting on the floor.
Hahahahahahahaha!!!

Talk about breaking things down in layman's terms.
You painted a very clear picture.

PoliticsRe: DSP Sagir Usman Shugaba: A Cute Nigeria Police Officer (Photos) by silkytouch(m): 6:40pm On Jul 25, 2017
MAYOWAAK:
I am sure Nigerian leaders watched the swearing in of the American President last year. The President Elect, Donald Trump, was seen in the rain carrying his own umbrella by himself and every other big man or woman did the same thing. And when the ceremony was over, the outgoing Vice President, Joe Bidden, just went to the Amtrack train station, boarded the train like everybody else and went home. There was no fanfare. His life had returned to normal again.

In our dear country, security men must pull the chair for the President or Governor to sit down so that his gubernatorial fingers are not soiled by the pulling of the chair. And when he gets to the podium to speak a policeman or soldier stands behind him, ramrod straight like a flag pole. When leaders of sane and decent speak and addresses a crowd do you see any bodyguard standing behind them? Their security arrangement is discreet but effective.
Exactly, because they know what they are doing, not our very own "eye service". Unfortunately this dirt aint going away anytime soon.
This is just sad...a high ranking police officer holding a civilian's bag and phone.

Lol....did you a "world of favor"? Interesting statement, but that's not my business....
Yes...it's a small world after all.
Oh I try to imagine how I will react....i probably will be in a state of shock for a moment thinking, "I finally, finally made it to my other home!"

Oh look at my moniker....my name is partially revealed there....
My name is quite common. Seen it several times here in NL.
My entire name is Igbo.....my dad's tribe smiley
World of Favor...an unrivalled kindness, one she was sure I couldnt payback and one she did when no one was looking. She was the good Samarithan in flesh and blood.

You wouldnt know how to react till you get here, there wouldnt be any spoilers from me though, I wouldnt want to dilute the fun.

Yeah, I figured your moniker could be what you just comfirmed it to be. It's quite a common Igbo name.

Hi brother,
LOL...no I have never been a resident of anywhere in Lagos or in Nigeria.
Unfortunately, I've never stepped foot on the continent of Africa.
I'm currently working on traveling to Nigeria though and will be seeing my relatives for the first time!

Born and raised in the U.S..
Love that you named a city and year, but I was finishing up my final years of college around the times you stated and hadn't been traveling anywhere.

But I get that a lot from folks..here in the U.S. saying I resemble someone they know.
You know the saying, "Everybody has a twin!"
Everybody looks like somebody on this planet...I just probably happen to have features similar to the person you once knew (which would make sense since I have a mixture of features from both sides of genes)...(black American and Nigerian) smiley
Lovely.
I appreciate the extensive response detailing everything I needed to know.
The person you remind me of did me a world of favor and I never got the chance to say "Thank You". Well, it is a small world, she might stumble upon this thread.

Yeah, we all have that person who shares all of our features, though I am yet to see mine grin

You havent stepped a foot in Africa? Hmmm...I bet you cant wait to explore all that mother Africa has to offer

Did your Nigerian parent happen to give you any of our native names? Would love to know what it is... wink

Hmmmm.....brother I don't think that was an appropriate method at all.
I believe in being practical in one's faith (in many aspects), but the whole situation just was "off".
God has said to do things decently and in order.
What he could've done is have a seminar for young people on "How to prepare for marriage by first letting God work on you" sort of thing....
Something that would introduce biblical principles for marriage...

In our quests to get people quickly married, we make some terrible mistakes that lead to grave consequences.
Too many people are "mated" but not "matched".
It's God who ultimately lets a man know who should be his bride....and He (God) doesn't need "our" help smiley
My take....
Hello, were you ever a resident Of Orile Iganmu (Lagos State) around 1998-2000?
You really look like someone I used to know there.

RadicallyBlunt:
Really? To be sincere with you if its not spiritual which I don't think it is, then its your character.

I said so because once a girl have sex with you, they just start believing that they've done you a great favour and unconsciously start trying to be in control of the relationship..this is something all guys can relate to. Only few girls maintain d tenderness that first attracted the guy to her even after sex and that's what inspires the guy to show more care.

When I meet such girl I usually have patience for a 2nd sex, after that I vapourize off. My long relationships are with girls that are simply feminine.

Other factors may include body odour, parasitic demands, lack of exposure, your disposition in public, level of neatness etc

where in the whole story did you read that the woman on her own initiated a kidnap and collected ransom? The late Christopher Wallace once said " Keep your family and business completely separated" Evans underrated the rule and now see his family is suffering a bad fate.

THE 10 CRACK COMMANDMENT:
Rule 7.
1. Never let no one know, how much dough you hold
2. Never let 'em know your next move
3. Never trust nobody
4. Never get high on your own supply......
5. Never sell no crack where you rest at
6. That go*damn credit? Dead it. You think a crackhead paying you back, sh*t forget it
7. (This rule is so underrated) Keep your family and business completely separated
8. Never keep no weight on you
9. (Should have been number 1 to Biggie) If you ain't gettin' bags, stay the f*ck from police
10. If you ain't got the clientele say h*ll no
Its the ten crack commandment WHAT!!!

Is it Stupid day on Nairaland today? The article says she was arrested for raising alarm that got the guy lynched because she saw a gun on him. It is possible that the neighborhood's got a bad reputation for armed robbery and she simply did what anybody else would have done. Dont jumb on the bandwagon, think for yourself. God didnt fill your head with sour sop, its brain in there.
