This exactly is the same thing that happened to Nigerians when we ordered change.

We had a chair and wanted a bigger chair. APC promised us change and we ended up sitting on the floor.

I am sure Nigerian leaders watched the swearing in of the American President last year. The President Elect, Donald Trump, was seen in the rain carrying his own umbrella by himself and every other big man or woman did the same thing. And when the ceremony was over, the outgoing Vice President, Joe Bidden, just went to the Amtrack train station, boarded the train like everybody else and went home. There was no fanfare. His life had returned to normal again.

In our dear country, security men must pull the chair for the President or Governor to sit down so that his gubernatorial fingers are not soiled by the pulling of the chair. And when he gets to the podium to speak a policeman or soldier stands behind him, ramrod straight like a flag pole. When leaders of sane and decent speak and addresses a crowd do you see any bodyguard standing behind them? Their security arrangement is discreet but effective.

Love that you named a city and year, but I was finishing up my final years of college around the times you stated and hadn't been traveling anywhere.

But I get that a lot from folks..here in the U.S. saying I resemble someone they know.

Everybody looks like somebody on this planet...I just probably happen to have features similar to the person you once knew (which would make sense since I have a mixture of features from both sides of genes)...(black American and Nigerian)

I believe in being practical in one's faith (in many aspects), but the whole situation just was "off".
God has said to do things decently and in order.
What he could've done is have a seminar for young people on "How to prepare for marriage by first letting God work on you" sort of thing....
Something that would introduce biblical principles for marriage...

In our quests to get people quickly married, we make some terrible mistakes that lead to grave consequences.
Too many people are "mated" but not "matched".
It's God who ultimately lets a man know who should be his bride....and He (God) doesn't need "our" help

I said so because once a girl have sex with you, they just start believing that they've done you a great favour and unconsciously start trying to be in control of the relationship..this is something all guys can relate to. When I meet such girl I usually have patience for a 2nd sex, after that I vapourize off. My long relationships are with girls that are simply feminine.
