First of all, the brain isn't the source of all electrical activities in the body. Organs like the heart for example is able to generate autonomous electrical current without without nervous stimulation, and that's why if you take the heart out of the body, it can continue beating
Secondly, the brain isn't always the last to die. In situations like brain death, the brain dies but the person is still technically alive I.e the heart still pumps and the person still has functioning metabolic activities. Once their is Ischemia in the brain, it dies within 5 minutes
