https://i1.wp.com/newstage.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Army.jpg?resize=870%2C360 The army announced yesterday that its men “have advanced deep” into the Sambisa forest in Borno State in the bid to deliver the final blow on Boko Haram. They are “clearing most of the camps therein, rescuing persons held captive, arresting some terrorists and destroying most of their weapons and equipment,” Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, said in a statement. He added: “advancing troops of the Nigerian Army, supported by the Nigerian Air Force were able to clear and destroy Boko Haram terrorists’ camps at Shuari, Adembe, Yerimari Kura, Yerimari Gana, Gonin Kurmi, Kore, Mainya Kore, and Lopere. “Additionally, the Multi-barrel Rocket Launcher Regiment has destroyed the terrorists’ camps at Dure, Dure Kore, Jokwa, as well as several other camps. “The troops recovered foodstuffs, motorcycles, flags, Improvised Explosive Making Devices (IED) materials and military uniforms. Among other discoveries were the terrorists’ tunnels, weapons and equipment. “The soldiers also recovered 2,000 cows rustled from various persons over time and rescued women and children held captives by the Boko Haram. While the animals have been moved to Kanwuri, the rescued persons have been evacuated and are being given all the necessary support and assistance. “During the encounter with the terrorists at Yerimari Gana a number of Boko Haram terrorists were killed and some suspected terrorists were arrested who are being interrogated. However, a soldier sustained gunshot wound and fracture on the leg. “Similarly, while advancing to destroy Nefari terrorists camp, troops discovered and cleared 3 IEDs laid along the route. The camp was successfully cleared and troops have continued their advance while a blocking force has been deployed to prevent infiltration and possible escape by the terrorists. “Unfortunately during another encounter with the terrorists along the axis of advance, three soldiers made the supreme sacrifice, while an officer and two soldiers were wounded in action. “It is instructive to note that the troops’ morale is very high and being conscious of their set objective, they are unrelenting in their determination to defeat the Boko Haram terrorists.” Troops have also reportedly destroyed Boko Haram terrorists’ camps Bulagaije and Disa, Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State and recovered motorcycles, Dane guns and ammunitions. The claims could not be independently confirmed. http://newstage.com.ng/2015/12/06/troops-begin-final-push-against-boko-haram-in-sambisa-forest/ |

How can a lady open a thread to spit this crap and guys are commending her to say more... Its soo gross... I hate to talk sex online but maybe i'll break my rule for the op. Men use female for sex, infact women are seen as sex machine. Take a look at music videos, look at manniquine (before u see a male, u will see 10 female). Between both sexes, who sees oneselves as an entertainment tool for d other... Dont get me started with pørñ, who is been dominated Who is to be used(submissive). When 3some is mentioned, what comes to mind first? (MMF)... Why so?To some point, i think the guys that are hailing u have no idea what you are talking about, but it good. Not all guys on nairaland are dumb that is why the mod that modify ur topic for front page is smart enough to know what is right. Who is expecting to be rewarded after sex? Who believe after sex, i should give her cash? Which of the sexes believe after fvcking, u shouldn't be with any other person or he/she get jealous? Op. If i(or any guy) take u in now, UnCloth u and make out. Do u think after the whole pleasure, i will dress u up? think my sister, u are already used. If i dress u up? The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. James Entwistle, on Wednesday urged the Federal Government to create an enabling environment for big private companies to invest in the power sector, saying that is the solution to the challenges crippling the nation’s energy industry. The U.S, according to the ambassador, identifies the private power players as the solution to the several challenges facing the country. Entwistle spoke during a visit to the Minister of Science and Technology, Mr. Ogbonnaya Onu, in Abuja. He advocated a stronger private sector participation in the energy industry. Entwistle said his country has assisted Nigeria in nuclear energy programmes. He said, “What we have done in nuclear energy in the past with Nigeria has been related to safety and we are very committed to increase the power sector through our Power Africa Programme. That comes with increasing generation through the private sector.” Reacting to Onu’s request for technology transfer in the area of biotechnology, he stated, “the U.S would want to see what the minister has in mind specifically. Anything that he sends to us we shall look at it with great interest and see what is possible that can be done as fast as possible. The envoy said it is important for Nigeria to collaborate with the U.S government and tap from their experience and technology and boost trade cooperation among African countries. Onu said his ministry will explore the excellent working relationship with the U.S. http://thenationonlineng.net/how-nigeria-can-overcome-power-challenges-u-s-envoy/ |
https://i1.wp.com/newstage.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Egbin-power-station-28.jpg?resize=400%2C231 Nigeria’s largest power plant, Egbin Power Plc, said it is owed more than N40 billion ($202 million) and is facing persistent gas supply shortages despite boosting capacity, highlighting continuing challenges in ending daily blackouts since private companies took over the state utilities two years ago. Its Chief Executive Officer Dallas Peavey Jr. said the generating plant was owed the amount from an outstanding cumulative balance for 10 months and that the West African nation’s central bank had delayed “legacy” debt payments. Peavey’s comments were cited in a statement yesterday issued by Nigeria’s Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE). Peavey said N46 billion had been invested in the 30-year-old plant in Lagos, co-owned by Nigeria’s Sahara Group and Korea Electricity Power Corp., to boost its capacity from less than 50 per cent to 85 per cent since it took over the asset from the Nigerian government in 2013. Egbin now generates an average of 1,100 megawatts (Mw). The partial sale of Nigeria’s state power generation and distribution companies two years ago was supposed to help end daily blackouts in Africa’s largest economy. Yet, private investors found the companies they bought weren’t financially viable and some were also indebted, prompting the intervention of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The bank designed a N213 billion bailout package last year to cover revenue shortfalls and help companies meet debt-service obligations on bank loans of almost N500 billion. source |
https://thenationonlineng.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Oshiomhole.jpg Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole yesterday called for the prosecution of all those involved in extra budgetary expenditure under the Dr Goodluck Jonathan administration. Such an act is criminal in the eyes of the law, he said. Oshiomhole, who spoke at the quadrennial delegates conference of the Non Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) in Abuja, said democratic norms and the nation’s legal system recognised separation of powers and the fact that no money can be spent from the treasury without first being appropriated by the legislature. He also said that it was criminal for a minister to release money from the treasury when such money was not appropriated for and not contained in the Appropriation Act. The former NLC President, who noted that Labour had been docile in recent time, said it was unfortunate that once a wealthy man is accused of corruption, he would seek the court’s permission to travel out of the country for medical treatment. “Last week, a big man was accused of spending $2billion and he said, ‘yes, we bought arms’. The law says before money is spent, it must first be appropriated by parliament. That money, which they claimed to have used to buy arms, was it appropriated by the National Assembly? “Does the then President have power to spend money that has not been appropriated? Does the Minister have power to release money from the national treasury that has not been captured in the appropriation law? Is that not part of conspiracy? “NLC should insist that all those involved in non-approved spending and money that was not in the Appropriation Act must not only refund the money, but must be prosecuted.” The governor added: “Part of the paradox of our society is that when the big man does something wrong, the Senior Advocates are ready to go to war; medical doctors are ready. A man is facing huge corruption charges and judges are granting permission for him to fly overseas. “When a worker is accused by a local policeman of driving without driver’s licence, he is dumped in the cell and from there to prison. You go to our prisons, you see sick detainees whose only offence is that they stole N100. Do they have permission to go overseas for treatment? “Are there instances of court granting them permission to go and get well first before facing trial? Are we all not supposed to be equal before the law? Criminal charges are not like Christmas packages. People must be made to pay for their crimes. “They have lived above the law before because they were covered by the umbrella and we couldn’t see them and now that the umbrella has been blown off, they must answer their father’s name and the working class must support the effort. I ask us to meticulously follow the debate and what is going on and take a position. On minimum wage, Oshiomhole said it was out of place for the governors to say that it was wrong for it to have been fixed centrally and imposed on the states when they have not argued against the Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission fixing the salaries of governors. He said: “The idea of minimum wage must be sustained and I have told my colleagues. What must be clear for those who want to selectively apply the principle of federalism is that the head must lead by example for others to follow. “Why must the salaries of governors be centrally determined in Abuja through the Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission? Why should the Edo State Governor earn the same salary as the Lagos State Governor? This is fixed by Abuja. So, if we want to decentralise, we start from the top and not from the bottom. The idea of a minimum wage is meant to have a floor. It talks about the minimum; it doesn’t talk about the maximum. “Buhari does not believe that the burden of this current crisis should be borne by the poorest of our society. He does not share the conviction that market and market alone should determine the way forward. So, support him to squeeze from those who have so that those who are thirsty can have something. “The rich must pay more tax. Anybody who parks a private jet on Abuja tarmac, Revenue Board must ask him to provide his tax receipt so that we know how much tax he pays.” source |
