joashette: Will candidates see their score after the physical test, just like the online one? That's left for Push CV to decide (they might /might not), during last year recruitment scores were not made available to any candidates, you only get a follow up mail either success or regret mail. You should be bothered about doing well and scaling the physical test than seeing your score. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Union Bank Management Trainee Recruitment 2019 by simplebb: 10:28am On Nov 17, 2018 |
TGM2015: The second test was necessary because it was discovered in the last recruitment that many invited candidates failed woefully in AC. This ugly situation was what warrant the decision to take second test that will be similar to the online test conducted by PushCV. I made mention of it in the last recruitment thread. Check out the first paragraph here https://www.nairaland.com/3416159/union-bank-recruiting-2-1/4#51631408 Thanks for the input. I also said it up there that it is more like a verification test, to ascertain the performances and results gotten from the first test, to sift the wheat from the chaff. |

Mexyz: Thanks for the advice so far, please Sir, do you have any study materials we can use or anyone you can recommend Sir? I can only recommend some that will be of help, look for Jobtestprep SHL materials on QR, VR and Situational Judgment also assessment day materials , education.vic materials for basic QR, VR and logical reasoning, then dragnet GSE materials for abstract reasoning (all those shapes pattern). Also study on data science. All the best in this stage. |

CasualSammie: Thanks for your timely contribution, you have made it very clear now. 14 out of 20 is 70%, that's quite a benchmark. From the mail I got, I think there will be more than 20 questions this year considering the test will last for 40 minutes.
I'll definitely be sweating through the next 72 hours in preparation. Thanks once again Yeah, that's true (more than 20 questions) the process is more stringent this year due to lot of applications (over 60,000) since they allowed 2.2 to apply unlike last year that was 2.1 Minimum, d stringency was evident in the first test that had a lot of people failed woefully, and with d mail stating combined set of aptitude questions, I advise you read wide and wild cos am seeing another tasking assessment (personal opinion). Download the necessary materials and study it a lot. I hope you make it to the AC. Keep up the Spirit to win. |

CasualSammie: Thanks for the wishes. An 80% score does not guarantee anything? Are you saying the first and second test are mutually exclusive? I thought getting to the AC stage depend on the aggregate of both tests. U welcome, sorry I wasn't explicit enough, I mean it doesn't guarantee the job meaning there is still work to do at the second stage and AC. The second test is just verification test, just to confirm those scores were from you. You know some were helped by smart people, there will be a minimum score also set for people to qualify for AC, last year it was 14 out of 20 questions. No aggregate but you must beat the minimum expected score too. Take Note: The second stage is also paramount in the recruitment process as not all those who are called will make the AC, so sweat hard now in preparations so you can breathe well after the test and the result. Feel free to quote me if you have any other questions. |

CasualSammie: I guess it's safe to say the unique identifier is a sort of ranking system? Anyway, good luck to us all It is a ranking system, the system ranks each candidates by score, that's why someone with 80 will rank higher than someone with 70..... Those with single digit are the real MVP though it doesn't guarantee anything. All the best in the second test. Put in your utmost best, AC beckons after this stage. I will be here to provide tips to scaling through the AC stage. Cheers. |

wi5dom: What the admission letter carries should actually be the correct one. That's what they make do. But then, you can do a change of course corresponding to what it's on the admission letter which will be presented at the physical clearance. If there is something else you need to do, the physical clearance officer will inform your brother.
#MyThought
PS: Clearance officers also have data/details or list of student for the course area they are clearing for. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The issue here is that all the rest that were initially affected by this glitch Mechatronics to Marine had their course and admission letter changed from Marine back to Mechatronics but his own didn't change except only in the application slip. It makes it difficult to proceed with any payment of fees or clearance. PS. Drae can I get the number of any system administrator in the school? |

It seems you don't get d point am making he is seeing two courses on his Kofa page, Mechatronics on application slip, Marine on admission letter. |

Please what's the way out.
Log in to my brother's profile on Kofa with details created during Post UTME, admitted course of study is Mechatronics on it (same as d one given on caps) after his course was changed but when I log in again with new username/ID and new password on Kofa, all his details are reflecting Marine even in his admission letter.
All those who initially had this issue at first have their details already rectified.
Please what's the way out? Can he still pay acceptance fees with this kind of development?

YModulosGodSon: Got an applicant who's presently working in union Bank as a contract staff... Dyu think her chances will be jeopardized or better improved if she includes that information in the application form? She should go ahead and apply so far she meets the criteria, she doesn't necessarily need to state it. Moreso, the test stage will be handled by Push CV. About what it will do to her chances? It doesn't increase or decrease her chances and won't jeopardize it. On the safer side, she need not state it. |
