The FCT is actually treated as a state in Nigeria when it comes to issues like this. Whenever u r applying for anything and ur state of origin is required, u will also c FCT on the list. To buttress my point check the recent list of PTDF scholars, you will c FCT there as a state.
Though it is not a state there r indigenous ppu from there.
Your analogy is correct.

Now please when FCT is added to the list, is it 36 or 37?

Go and check the PTDF list and you will discover the state is now 37 due to the inclusion of FCT.

The simple point am making.

So If I add FCT it becomes 37 states? Wow I just learnt something new . grin
My post is clear.

It is 36 states and the FCT.

I only tried to let you know FCT is not inclusive of the 36 states as your initial calculation suggested.

Going by what you posted FCT is inclusive of the 36 states and it is not. A little check can help you get this clearly.

Peace.

How many states are in Nigeria?
Oga,

There are 36 states in Nigeria officially, FCT is not counted as part of it and that's why instead of a governor, u have FCT Minister. They need to be accord state status to elect a governor.

However, when you add FCT it becomes 37.

Your calculation up there should be 37x30

So we can rightly say that sharing very fine details of the interview is wrong, but can reading them or coming here to source them out be regarded as cheating, willfully trying to gain undue advantage? Ethically are the readers right to remain on this thread even when they know they will be exposed to undeserved information, arming them more readily than their counterparts ever were? So who is wrong?
A) posters only
B) posters and readers

Or are they smart?
??
‍♂️‍♂️
Wish me Goodluck for tomorrow anyway.
Goodluck everyone.
This ur question ehn,
It has always been like that.

The answer is debatable.

Those who came here to source for info know very well there are some naive people who want to do the nice guy, get high number of likes and will drop all what's needed (all that happened to dem). Those lying in wait build on that to improve their performances and better equipped too.

I have a friend who won't write a job test or attend a job interview without sourcing for expo especially if it is on different days.... In his words, one person go surely drop what I need, one nice guy and he always aced it as he is better equipped.

The best thing to do is to share your detailed experience after the whole interview for the posterity guys, dis is a competition and can't be compared to school exam (different in entirety) if u performed so well and think u would get 95%, another person might score 98% and get d job.

Don't boast in your performances and start sharing the finest details, remember close to 6000 candidates are being interviewed and lot of other factors will come into this thing.

I have attended an interview that I answered all d questions correctly, was applauded by the panel and yet didn't get d job. It was a shocker to me.

I have learnt one thing as far as labour market in Nigeria is concerned, don't sing praises for yourself until you get offer letter.

After your interview, share clues with those that needs it, go and rest in one place and keep hoping/praying/trusting God for help. Even with 100%,ur name can be removed by just anyone in there.

Lot of things happen behind the scene.

SPDC is majorly owned by the Nigerian Government. So?...
Which SPDChuh

SPDC is Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria or are you referring to Seplat here?

P.S: know that JV operations structure differs from the ownership structure of a company, NNPC has major stake in its JV operations with IOC and Indigenous oil firms (the JV has a MOU and JVA and funded via the cash call process, it doesn't mean they own those parent company).

Is Seplat an IOC or NOC?
Seplat is not an IOC nor NOC, It is an Indigenous Exploration and Production Company, arguably the highest paying Indigenous.

NOC is National Oil company ( an oil and gas company fully or in the majority owned by a national government) while IOC is International oil company.

Thank you.

I hope you are from my state because with this kind of questions you have been asking about CV, I just hope other applicants from my state will be like you. So that I will just walk into nnpc without any competition.
Bro you were told all the compulsory documents required of you for the interview and you are still arguing over it.
Don't come with your CV, come with your nepa bill grin
Hahahahahahahahahaha

Some of the questions on this thread makes me wonder ehhhhhh like are these people really invited for interview, are they graduates or just here to troll.

Still expect more funny questions

I am not saying people shouldn't ask questions as no man knows it all but please ask smart questions...

Very soon now someone would ask should I eat to the interview? Should I put on black or brown shoes? Should I sleep the night to my interview?

Abeg, read your questions again and again before posting it here. Let the discuss here be an intelligent one.

But then this is Nigeria, where deviation from the norm is the modus operandi.

A major event that may slow down the process is change of NNPC GMD.

If GMD is changed with Buhari's second coming (which I doubt) it may slow the process. Change of GMD could mean the new GMD will reorganize the departments and top management, including the COO Services, who is the highest executive sponsor of this recruitment. This may lead to this recruitment falling in priority for some time.

Change of government stopped the 2014 recruitment they were doing.

Another potential event that could cause delay, perhaps even cancellation, is presidential assent of PIGB, which unbundles NNPC into 2 different companies. Depending on whether it will take immediate effect or there will be a transition period that could be up to a year, this recruitment may be suspended or even canceled is NNPC is split sooner. You guys should hope the recruitment is completed before this happens.

The Bill was sent to the president last year but he rejected it and the Senate has made amendments and ready to be returned to the President for assent.

You may hope that the incoming NASS does not give it an immediate priority or the preaident rejects it again or there is a relatively long transitiom period (eg a year) if signed now
Thanks for the input Oga Jarus.

Two major events, I know anything government there are always intricacies....

On the leadership, Baru has done well since his inception as GMD NNPC, was even commended sometimes ago by the first GMD of the corporation Sir Marinho, though there is still more to do as regards NNPC profitability. He might still be retained the same way Emefiele was retained (though this is two totally different organizations, and I don't know the politics that goes on in there) but his chances of carrying on are quite strong.

On the Unbundling, that is one big factor. one can only hope if the president assent to it, the implementation should not be immediate cos that would definitely slow down the recruitment as they will need to put a lot of things in order.

A suggestive article from jarus. I don't think he is accurate though regarding the 2 months estimation

https://www.jarushub.com/when-will-nnpc-cbt-aptitude-test-result-come-out/
Well suggested considering the post test decisions, you know a lot of things will be considered.

To me, they might decide to first release test scores before calling for interview and they might not.

NNPC has shown seriousness with this recruitment, updating every stage of the recruitment on Twitter and several national dailies, I didn't even expect us to write test as early as June after application closed towards March ending considering the long time frame of government organizations recruitment (DPR own be like 2 yrs course lol).

So on that note, July ending at max we should have update on interview.

We pray they don't suspend it like the 2012 own.

P.S: It's good to start preparation early.

The test wasn't cheap o, it's only fair!
The 10AM batch, I'm sure we can testify that there was a particular Simple Interest question that the answer wasn't there among the options. The current affairs nko? E bin get as e be!

Questions bordering on the fraction of Africa to the total land mass of the earth. Who wasn't a past premier of Nigeria (I gallantly failed that one, the answer was supposed to be Aminu Kanu, I went for Dennis Osadebey). What the administrative head of the Nigerian Senate is called. Who invented the light bulb (here, they intentionally didn't feature the popular Thomas Edison in the options and I banged the answer again). What the Chief Law Officer in Nigeria is called (here again, they gave tight options such as Chief Judge, Chief Justice, the Attorney General of the Fed republic of Nigeria which was the answer). Who coined the concept of neocolonialism? I thought it was Nelson Mandela due to his fight against apartheid, not knowing that it's Nkrumah of Ghana. Date British took over RNC and the year it came to an end. The year the Soviet Union collapsed and then the very delicate one that asked for the major impediment of Nigeria development since 1960 (the notable options were, bad leadership, corruption, and overdependence on crude oil... Which would you have picked? )

The English part nko? Like what's the opposite of option? But overall, the questions were fair, you never had to rack your brain that much. In all, God's grace is what we ask for!
This one thick oooo.....

Thank God dem put me for 8am jejely.

I reviewed some of my CBT questions with the motive to LEARN from my mistakes. I was enthusiastic about knowing what led to the collapse of the Soviet Union, who coined the word "neo-colonialism", the river Niger company and many more. I was occupied with surfing the web to find answers to most of the questions I couldn't answer and I must admit I feel better for it now.

My answers to some of those questions were wrong but I take solace in the fact that I've learned something new and even more encouraged to keep learning and re-learning.

Oftentimes, such mistakes presents us with an opportunity to learn something new and become better, if only we can approach them with the right motive.

Wishing everyone tremendous success!
The same thing I did after the test and learnt the ones I got wrong.

Keeping an open mind to learning is paramount in life.

I once wrote an indigenous oil firm test and there were several current affairs questions. When I got home, I reviewed it quickly and take note of the correct answers to the wrong ones, Las Las I made the next stage den.

The test has been done, we pray the outcome favours us.
