Good for you guys. Wen I was in Futa the sch was crap... I still regret wasting 5 yrs of my life in that place...

Oops sorry about that sir, guess that was then....

My 5 years there was nothing short of excellence, the training received was thorough and contemporary.

Infact when it comes to Engineering and Technology, I will recommend FUTA again and again.

We thrive outta school.

Oga I graduated 2007.

Long time ago sir.

As an engineering student at FUTA, I did programming in 100/200level and used the school facilities and it was top notch.

Some of my mates now work at Andela and a host of IT firms as they went on to built on that knowledge even though they weren't CSC students.

In case you don't know, the school now has school of Computing and has introduced several IT courses like Software Engineering, ICT etc. As a matter of fact, the school just opened a Tech Hub called the Akure Tech Hub, it was launched by the state governor, thoroughly furnished and open to the use of the general society.

I know few colleagues that we finished together back then that studied CSC and they are very sound in IT applications and doing very well in the field now.

To the Op, if you are financially buoyant just travel overseas for your study.

If not, you can choose FUTA, OAU or FUTO.

did you read where he said the team member will no longer have access to the handle? perhaps they will give him other assignments .

LOL, please read between and beyond d lines. You don't know the gravity of what he has done, He has put Teragon at risk, In business it is called reputational risk which might lead to financial loss(es). They might lose the business relationship they have with Guinness (a multinational) and other future potential ones due to that single careless action, which is part of why the Manager had to come out to make a public statement/plea.

Calling someone a 'goat'
The guy will be sacked and all his data deleted from the company's database.

Just some days to Christmas and someone has been relieved of his job, he should take the lessons and move forward. Next time, don't bring sentiments into work, always be professional and know that Nigeria Politicians are not worth fighting or dying for.

Totally unprofessional act by all standards.

I can't imagine throwing shades or tantrums over politics in such a derogatory manner, that user could sue Guinness for such a debasing speech.

Let's hope he will get prorated December salary to enjoy Christmas and also that he will resume at PDP head office in January.

I wish those called for test on the 27th November for the halliburton could just enlighten us the test was and to know what stage they are in now. They just went dark.

That's Nigeria for u. Just study GRE and GMAT materials, at least you know by first quarter next year, things would take shape since the previous invitation was strictly for females and to improve gender ratio in the organization.

Please that your friend that got invite for GT, what's the content of the mail? Test or Interview? Thought invite mail should rolled out once.

I was going to respond to him until I saw your response. Bro, we're talking about the 3rd biggest oil company in the world after Saudi Aramco & Sinopec and IOCs paying same amount internationally cos you could be transferred anytime. Summary, salary should be up to 1m -1.3m monthly with allowances

You have said it all.
ExxonMobil na big fish, if person catch it, God don over butter him bread.
People be thinking we don't have firms that chunk out large amount of money in Nigeria due to the poor economy. We do, but getting d job is hard and overly competitive due to few slots.

is it allowed to apply to more than one roles at a time?

Not advisable, Multiple applications might be disqualified.

Are you sure. I don't think it's up to that amount as salary.

For Graduate Engineer, It is even more than that, heard close to 1m in total package and it is from a confirmed source, take note it is for permanent and not contract role.

If some indigenous can pay 500-700k range, that ain't beyond one of the biggest player in the oil industry.

I saw u type 150k at another thread and I laughed, you don't know the enormous money dis oil and gas firms make, even entry level in big banks earn more than 150k, not to talk of an IOC.

Peace.

Can a first class agricultural engineer apply for this position?
Guys, your opinion is needed asap pls.

Agricultural Engineering wasn't part of the listed disciplines and another issue is, there is a box to be ticked to know if you fall into the listed courses or not.

Seems they are using those data

But no harm in trying.

Thanks so much for this. Please is there also an individual interview?

None, as you can see.

At least based on previous set.

Though u also need to know about the bank.

So u can read more on the bank's core values, its past, present and where it is heading to. It will help you a lot during the process too.

Organizations tends to pay attention to candidates who share the same core values with them.

thanks for the extra tip....

just wanted to know how long this whole process would take to complete? same day or two days or a week?

Last year it was three weeks (1 week at Abj, 2 weeks at Lagos). For this year, I can't really say, it depends on the number of selected candidates for AC. All in all, successful applicants will surely resume early next year.

Will be appreciated. Thanks

The assessment centre was invented as a replacement for the conventional interview method, The conventional interview method has its loopholes in that candidates could have crammed the answers before coming for the session.

The assessment centre provides a real life scenario where the employer gets to see prospective employees in action. The activities most times includes a psychometric test, numerical test, essay writing, group discussion, personal presentation etc. For UBN, it is personal presentation and group discussion.

Tips for success. I have attended three AC at three top notch organizations and have mastered some techniques that have worked so well for me.

For the personal presentation,
1. You can learn how to make use of SWOT to analyze case study, this will really help newbie who will be analyzing case studies for the first time. So as much as you can, work on your comprehension skills, analytical skills (problem solving and decision making) and usage of time, this is key in this stage, If you are sound in this, you will do well. You won't have the whole time in the world, learn to use the given time judiciously. Read, study and understand your case study and write out the salient points. You must be practical in your solutions and ensure they are well thought of as such see the case study as real life, like this is happening in reality.

2. After the analysis comes the presentation, for this you need to work well with time usage too, effective communication and presentation skills (you can work on this before that day) will help a lot, be confident and speak assertively, share your findings to the panel, the problems (root causes) and the solutions (recommendations). Ensure your confidence level is high and just be yourself. Also questions will be asked, you must be able to think strategically and come up with meaningful answers and that's why sound understanding of the case study is paramount.

After that comes the group discussion,

In this case you will have another case study to deal with. Just like the first one, study it critically and understand it, take note also of the salient points and also what you are meant to do as a group.

During discussion, be outspoken and contribute positively (you don't need to talk ten times to be preferred, just ensure your contributions are meaningful, I only spoke thrice, and I still remembered at one other organization it was just twice so no be about who talk pass but I didn't say you should go and be dumb, we need to hear from you as we know you are smart, also learnt to work collaboratively with your group (teamwork is being looked out for here, UBN ain't employing a loner who doesn't value his/her team) so don't talk down on others, don't attack anyone even if they don't share your own views and don't force your points down the throat of everyone.

All in all, eat well, refresh yourself, look good, dress well, sleep well (not like you shouldn't prepare oooo lol), arrive early, be your best, act your best and do your best, and also before and after pray well.

I wish you all the best.

If I have any further additions, I will modify this comment.

Remember there is no competition on the extra mile (learnt this at UBN).

All the best.
