How can one be well qualified for Graduate position (0-3years) and also experienced (5-10 years) design engineer position?

He should have applied to only d one he is very suited to.


Though the cause of his rejection is unknown but applying for dual roles that differs is what I don't understand.

One can apply for Graduate engineer and procurement analyst role since it was specified for the latter that recent graduates with knowledge of SAP (added advantage) can apply.

@op, the topic of this thread is wrong, it was just a suggestion by Aafe Babalola one that won't hold waters (presumption) not like the school name has already been changed. People like you must not work at media station's.

I just finished my NYSC this October, I graduated with a 2.1 and I'm also a chartered Accountant. I'm quite young as I'm just 21. I have been applying to different openings since my service year ended. However, I've reached the last stage with only just the bank with 'Stallion logo. I'm optimistic that I'll be called for Medicals. The big Four have largely not started recruitment.
The main thing is that I'm concerned about the work-life balance. I've a side hustle on the internet that makes me money upwards of 100k a month, but I need like 2-3 hrs a day on it. Also, my motivation to work is to build up my networking, communication and interpersonal skills as I'm quite lacking in those areas.

Quite a very young age, you still have the time to hunt for top jobs and also target the big four. KPMG GT is still on and you can do well to apply.

UBN is a great place to start a banking career and the work life balance is also great too, but you won't have that time you quoted up there except you want to run your side hustle in the night not at the workplace which runs from 8-5pm with an hour break for lunch.

If you are called by UBN, take up the offer and enjoy the ride, you will get to build up those skills you are lacking, get to build network and working there can/will serve as a platform for bigger offers.

It ain't a hell working in a bank if it is your dream job, it is stressful and demanding but you will enjoy it as long as it is your passion.

So take it up if called and enjoy the ride.

From the 2018 successful trainees video we viewed I didn't count up to 20 ppl. My adrenaline surge for this harmattan period na die.

66 resumed at training school, I know of 2 that didn't resume due to other offers so the guess should be 70.

BTW not all were in the video.

Don't be overconfident, wait for an invite yet. Under review ain't a guarantee of anything. Whether age is part of it or not is up to Mobil HR. Remember not all the requirements and selection criterion will be made available in the advert.

My 5 years there was nothing short of excellence, the training received was thorough and contemporary.

Infact when it comes to Engineering and Technology, I will recommend FUTA again and again.

As an engineering student at FUTA, I did programming in 100/200level and used the school facilities and it was top notch.

Some of my mates now work at Andela and a host of IT firms as they went on to built on that knowledge even though they weren't CSC students.

In case you don't know, the school now has school of Computing and has introduced several IT courses like Software Engineering, ICT etc. As a matter of fact, the school just opened a Tech Hub called the Akure Tech Hub, it was launched by the state governor, thoroughly furnished and open to the use of the general society.

I know few colleagues that we finished together back then that studied CSC and they are very sound in IT applications and doing very well in the field now.

To the Op, if you are financially buoyant just travel overseas for your study.

If not, you can choose FUTA, OAU or FUTO.

Please that your friend that got invite for GT, what's the content of the mail? Test or Interview? Thought invite mail should rolled out once.

People be thinking we don't have firms that chunk out large amount of money in Nigeria due to the poor economy. We do, but getting d job is hard and overly competitive due to few slots.

For Graduate Engineer, It is even more than that, heard close to 1m in total package and it is from a confirmed source, take note it is for permanent and not contract role.

If some indigenous can pay 500-700k range, that ain't beyond one of the biggest player in the oil industry.


I saw u type 150k at another thread and I laughed, you don't know the enormous money dis oil and gas firms make, even entry level in big banks earn more than 150k, not to talk of an IOC.
