Do you need to be in Lagos to get into them? All these companies recruit online. I know someone that got into Deloitte recently. She wasn’t in Lagos. They only bring them to Lagos for induction/training. If it is just by proximity, all the Lagosians would be working in the aforementioned firms na.

I quite understand you but there are levels to salary. You need to understand that, I have seen people that these same salary people talk down against have done a lot to them (I’m talking of salaries running into mid and upper hundreds of thousands and millions a month). There are people whose salary will shock you.

But I do understand that entrepreneurship is good also and provides luxury too as I follow that scene too.

no be small thing. I served in Anambra when the state was paying 8k monthly, I don't know if they still pay till date, even with the 33k and 8k from State what I saved was only 100k. My family benefited from this money right from beginning. I don't know how someone can save up to this amount while serving in this country right now. The way people believe lies nowadays is something else.

Like I said, I had other things doing (online). I could have easily saved 1m but I used the rest for self development by writing professional courses and doing my int passport cause of my japa dream

Forget leave your 500k aside let me tell you the realities of Lagos.

The only thing I will advice you is to try and rent house in the center of Lagos because most of the firm you are aiming for are located in VI, lekki, ikoyi.

I don't know your course of study, however irrespective of where you would be working, transportation and house rent would deal with you.

Know how you go package yourself in that area. I would give you an example with my bro.

He earns 70k and works At GT, Wetin dey save am be say him no dey pay rent and his office is at yaba. He was aspiring to work for PWC, after he went there and spent almost 2500 on Tf no be person advice am make he comot eyes, besides his current place, he works 3days in the office and 2 days at home.


So prepare well for the downtime you might have if you don't get a job on-time

I suggest you start up POS business. If you don't know d business. Just beg someone around d area u live. Learn d skill for one month. Be humble n loyal to your boss. Resume on time. Don't go n be forming graduate o.


After d one month, get a low cost shop n start.
Before then use Google to get d address of moniepoint office closest to you, go there n apply for pos. It doesn't take two weeks before your pos is ready for collection.


You can be saving too from there to either expand ur pos business to other locations or you get another business n join.

I get your point but I love the corporate world and I have my eyes set on some companies that are only located in Lagos.

Big 4 audit firms, management consulting firms, investment banking firms and oil and gas firms are concentrated in Lagos, when I get into them I will start processing my japa dream having gained experience in them. You see why I want to go there now....
