@justwise and others, I need to ask a question. My mum 'n' and dad are planning to apply for a tourist visitors visa by November(i know that's far but they wanna get info and plan ahead), My mum has a personal acct and should have about 3million + then (makes b/w 400 - 500k monthly). My dad will have about 500k in his acct then and he has shares worth about 4million, Can they submit the two bank statements alone Or they must submit a business/coy bank statement? The prob is they pay staff and other bills from the coy acct so it goes high during the month and low towards the end of the month when staffs are paid, What do you think, will the personal statements suffice? |
@justwise thanks! |
@Justwise Thanks, So a bank statement of any other bank e.g FCMB isn't acceptable? |
@justwise and others ,Please ill like to ask a question, i was going through cdhc's website and i saw the list of approved banks under the visa fees schedule, By "approved banks" are they referring to the banks which can issue a bank draft or banks which you can use their bank statements?. |
Ill suggest you wait a bit, you can pay around March/April you might get something better before then so don't rush |
Yes you can |
I think you can do it on your own but if you want to use an agent use Maple , they're a bit expensive but they're Good. I haven't tried them personally but people on the Canadian Visa thread can confirm they're good |
Uni of Huddersfield is in Manchester. Its a very good Uni maybe not as good as Oxford lol but its very good |
@justwise ill explore the possibilities of getting a new one. Thanks for your help tho, you rock bruv!! |
@justwise What would you suggest I do? Secondary school Report Cards can't be easily replaced because there are several comments and signatures on it along with school stamps |
Please I have a question if the name on your passport is Williams-Mark John but the name on your secondary school transcript is Mark Williams John, is this enough for the visa application to be refused |
@diluminati Ill advice you to go to the Old Canadian visa enquiries on Nairaland and read all the pages, youll get all the information you need there ,and you can also go to the Canadian Deputy High commission website |
Have you applied? What intake? Fall?? |
Okay, thanks. |
@a.ayoola thanks, but in what way is the processing time reduced? |
@henrywest you mention something about an office in ikeja - do they process applications there as well or its just a submission center? |
Ill suggest you transfer the funds into your account, its much easier |
The best option is for your dad/mum to sponsor you (if you use a distant relative your chances are smaller) if you can't get a sponsor,start saving |
@OP my Advice for you is not to use a fake bank statement, because it will be verified, you'll be caught and Banned |
What I still don't get about this visa processing thingie is why some people's own takes 5+ months and some people's own doesn't take up to 3months. What could be responsible for the time discrepancies? |
Do you mean a Passport or a visa. If its a passport it shouldn't take more than 2days to get and its about 20000naira |
A passport or travel document valid for no less than 30 days after the expiry of your intended visit Your passport must have at least one unused page for entry / departure endorsements A completed Form BI-84 (application for a visa) Payment of the prescribed fee A yellow-fever vaccination certificate (if required) Statement and/or documentation confirming the purpose and duration of your visit Two colour passport photographs A return or onward ticket if you are travelling by air If you have children (minors) travelling with you or joining in South Africa, you will need to provide the following additional documents Proof of guardianship or custody or Consent from the guardian in the case of an unaccompanied minor Proof of financial means to pay for your living expenses while in South Africa in the form of: Bank statements for 6 months (Please note that all applicants must only submit an original bank statement with an official stamp and a signature by the bank official. Further all Bank statements that read as BANK PHB will not be accepted by the South African High Commission. All other Bank statements including Keystone Bank would be accepted.) Salary advances Undertakings by the host(s) in South Africa Bursary Medical cover or Cash available (including credit cards and travellers’ cheques) Requirements for entering South Africa You will need the following if you wish to visit South Africa: A valid and acceptable passport or travel document for your intended stay At least one blank page in your passport for endorsements A valid visa, if required Sufficient funds to pay for your day-to-day expenses during your stay A return or onward ticket Yellow fever certificates if your journey starts or entails passing through the yellow fever belt of Africa or South America. |
I'm not saying so, just saying its difficult |
If you are not ready to do your PhD yet, explore the possibilities of a second Masters degree. If you want to relocate you either go through the education route or the FSW which isn't possible in your case |
Okay, thanks |
@Cycline404 and others. How about if your sponsor(mum/dad) uses a *savings* account to sponsor you |
Try to go for a Masters / Phd programme you can apply for the Experience class after working 1/2yrs after graduating |
@Cycline404 Thanks ![]() |
Please, I will like someone to clarify this for me - Is it ok if my sponsor(mum) submits the statement of her current acct with #6.5m in it, but the account and the money in it has ÑOT been touched for about 3-4months before making the visa application. Waiting for you reply, thanks. |
I have a question, if you are going to study at a boarding school in canada (Pre - Uni) and you have already paid your fees (tution + accomodation + feeding) how much do you still need to have in your account? Thanks in anticipation |
This shall be the month of breakthrough for all those waiting to get their TRV's by God;s grace |
