I've always wondered why there are no direct flights from Lagos to t.dot. With the volume of Nigerians coming to Canada , any airline plying that route would be making immense profit. And just to reiterate Lufthansa flights stop at Frankfurt, a mate used it a week ago so I'm quite sure . Merry Christmas in advance to everyone

Good idea spencer but if you want that, you might have to lead by example. Some might not wanna do that for personal reasons, but even if you block out your name, and leave the issue date , we should know if its a real scan or not. And luckily There's no dob on the trv , your name is the only personal info

HIV ,TB n chest X-ray . Those are the ones they make obvious. There could be more however. But they just take a blood sample

bumdish: I would advise you arrive in Canada before you buy your phone. The reason being that different telcos operates on different frequency e.g Telus & Bell are on UMTS/HSPA 850MHz and/or 1900MHz, while WIND uses a frequency called AWS, with bands 1700/2100. Hence, the phone you would use must be compatible with the network you would eventually subscribe to. Yes, I know it is strange but there are lots of strange things here (TAX is number 1).
Also, new phones are not exactly cheap in Canada and if you would be working with a tight budget, you may want to check out http://www.factorydirect.ca/ . You can get (overstocked/liquidation/factory repaired) phones,laptops etc here at very nice prices and with some form of warranty/return policy.

Depends on what you're phone you're buying, if you're getting a blackberry get it in Nigeria from maybe slot , it will work with wind provided its any bb7 phone. But if you want an iPhone get it in Canada. But stay away from Rogers they'll suck you dry

No need to be scared. If you are , travel as an unaccompanied minor, it helps .. But really it's no big deal

If u don't mind the journey time, try emirates. Airfrance is good if you're after luxury tho.

Leathe jackets or gloves are useless.. Get a jacket that has insulation via fur/wool even if the outer surface is leather.. And a good jacket from Zara amd the likes wiill cost 160 upwards - tax

@augustapplicant i think its because people are doing more research before submitting and the deputy commissioner said they were gonna relax the policies. Let's nt forget the God factor as well

oreajayi: Will be getting a new acceptance letter from my school by courier next week Wednesday or Thursday. Will submit to VFS on Friday and God willing get my TRV in three weeks.

that's good, because from my personal experience trv after medicals takes some time, mine is over 3wks now so its good youre resubmitting quickly

i know this isn't related to the thread but pls who knows how long it takes to get a gtb master card

i believe soon trv's and medical invites will flood the house by God's grace. The wait isn't funny, thank God for his grace

it seems this issue of paying tution is a bit of a bone in the neck. I remember slamdunk had an issue like this , where the school asked him to do smthn and embassy wanted him to another thing and he still got his trv. @spencer try to remain calm, things always seem tough just prior to breakthru.
