ifegy: Basically, in the airport, you are charged much higher to change currency, buy food & drink, etc because you're in a captive environment. There's not much choice in that place, whereas if you were on the street in the middle of the town, you can go to a different restaurant if you don't like the prices/menu at the first place you stop, or go to a different currency exchanger or a bank to change your money.

@fhemmy i have read here about the xchange rate at the airports in canada being something like 0.70cad to 1.00usd whereas it's 0.98cad to 1.00usd at banks in canada. Is there any reason for this? I'm just curious p.s anyone else who can explain is free to answer

oreajayi: It depends on the session you are applying ahead of. If you are planning for January 2013, to be honest and realistic its just too late. There are three months left for this year and the processing time is almost five months. Unless you are planning for another term or you can defer, go for it.

don't discourage him, the worst that can happen is they ask for a deferal, let him try, u cant predict cdhc

been over a wk i resubmitted my passport, waiting for the trv now by God's grace

honestly, when i saw the thread had moved from 108 to 111, i thought it was because a lot of people had gotten medicals / trv . Let's try not to deviate. i now see what ebugirl meant when she said post medical wait is almost tougher than pre. Let us all keep praying n trusting God for good news

Hello everyone, sorry i haven't been posting,laptop crashed. Got my medicals last wednesday ,did it last friday at asaju,vi. Submitted july, sponsor parents. In all honesty i wasn't even expecting it for another 2wks. Shows what God can do, congrats to those that hve gotten trv/med

@all Its like CDHC is vexing for dec starters o lol, this one they've not answered anyone. But I believe when they start sending med instructions they'll send in batches. Let's just keep praying

@josh No assurance bro, they're agents not the embassy, they only help you make sure your docs are in order and save you a stress or two.
The 2000dollars is refundable if you're denied, the initial 200k isn't

@moty4all last time I checked 50000 for admission, then 150,000 for affidavit,medical and clearance, then when u get medical call 2000dollars(320k)

@spencer3705 I don't think so, all june/july applicants are still waiting for medical call up.. Judging from what happened to Sept applicants, it seems CDHC issues several medical instructions at a go, I'm sure soon by Gods grace they'll start sending medicals

@pharmow, the reason I'm saying so is 96perc of people on this thread who applied for Sept have either gotten the visa, done medicals and waiting for the visa or denied.
Probably some of yóur docs are being verified that's why they are yet to respond..

Amen I believe Very soon we Oct and January starters will soon start getting medical call because it seems they're done with all Sept applicants.
