extremely sad. maybe she was doing it as a way to get back at her mom not realizing she will never come back |
jennykadry: oYaTo:LMFAOOOOO!!!! ![]() |
kimibaby i admire you braveness! continue being strong for yourself dear |
@ jellybean do you ever plan to relaxer you hair ever again? or are you forever natural? i know some folks, who go without relaxer for years braiding and doing all those things just so their hair will grow and be longer when they finally relax it |
jennykadry:i had those ones too. especially when i eat beans or any protein rich foods, the smell is indescribable. there are times sef, when the smell will be too much for me who messed, that i will have shift/move from the place and sometimes go to where my friends are so they will smell it too ![]() back in the days: one day when my coz and i were alone in the room, i messed and the thing started to smell so bad eh, she started rubbing her nose, i pretentiously asked her na wetin? she was like, did you mess? (in my mind i'm like ewoo this pikin don catch me!) i told, dont you know you should be jumping up and down, thanking your stars and be very happi that you are privileged enough to smell my mess? do you know how many people stand in line everyday just to smell my mess. she just couldnt hold her laughter either i could ![]() |
i dont think they are trying to make up for anything. it has more to do with our type of society. nigeria is a collective society and that makes it hard for so parents to let go compare to the more individualistic society like the ones you mentioned, which starts from early on and still those characteristics in their children. |
Common sense says that you should pay more attention to your children, but not "to the detriment" of your wife.agree. |
tRoOE:if only all nigerians can afford to eat KFC everyday or every other day then your obesity claim would have . . . . . . . . . |
Siena:of course its the thirteen year old, who should know better. what do you expect? when it comes to rape, people always will find a way to blame the victim. its just impossible not to. |
Call it wrong or right but for a woman to Call her husband by the name is really absurd. Imagine when your husband wakes up in the morning and what he hears is, Chinedu! Chinedu! ![]() Like he's being Called by his aunt or madam.
do you think its also absurd for a wife to wake in the morning and what she hears is, chinelo!, toyin!, kemi! yetunde! ![]() |
"If a man doesn't hit/ discipline you, he doesn't love you!statements like this irks my heart. kai! i wish we knew better as women. @ OP your friend obviously and seriously needs help, whether she admits it to you or not. she needs your intervention if not you will be going to her funeral. women in abusive relationship, hardly admits it, talk less of seeking help. and she is already displaying the classical serious abuse signs. |
chei memories! i certainly did the nyash stiffing in school. "who messed here?" everyone will start "not me oo, smell me, smell me not me oo" and oh boy, did i smell them! i was the general nyash inspector. sometimes sef, if i smell them and i feel like their big uniform is concealing it, i will hold their uniform tight (like how those wicked teachers use to hold your cloth tight when flogging you, so that the pain will enter inside) and smell them. if i smell you, i will tell the whole class it is not you, but if its you eh eh god help you the embarrassment "its you! you messed! and if they deny it, another nyash inspector will confirm it ![]() the silent ones, did it too. i mean there places that you will be that you cant let it out and it wouldnt allow you to rest. sometimes when i do, i will bone so tay. . . and people will be wondering what that smell is, i will even bone more. and if someone ask me do you hear that smell? i will be like "what smell? me i no hear anything oo" sometimes my laugh will just expose me ![]() the worst one my friends and i did in school is when you mess and catch it with your hands, then cover your hand, call one of your friends or go to them, and just release it on the nose and ran as fast as you can! |
Siena:LOL ![]() |
sophy09:beg to differ pls. you seem also to be forgetting the social justice they give people |
no you havent done anything WRONG any person who commits such act deserves everything coming to him. i hope you leaved a scar on him, at least it will remind him of that as long he live |
roftlmao dirty mind! ![]() as everyone prepares for the wedding just make sure you buy yourself a rope, dont worry you might not understand its use at 2-3years after marriage but thereafter its use will hit you like Bang!!! ![]() |
despicable! “She walked up to me where I was easing myself and said she knew me somewhere. That was how we started talking. She told me she wanted to know my place and we went. Voluntarily, she allowed me to have intimacy with her after I gave her N200.sounds very fishy. or could be that after luring and manipulating her, he gave her N200 as a shut-up money. |
oh yes, for many things ![]() |
your own mother kai! ![]() very painful death ![]() |
FL Gators:very interesting, cant wait to hear more on your thoughts! chamotex: ![]() |
@ netotse very interesting point you brought up on the role of male figures. i definitely agree with that. there are many positive effects of a young girl having a solid male figure in her life. so your point definitely makes sense. @ ichommy why did you delete your post . I'd like to hear your point too |
if only circumstances demands it |
it will be very HARD to fully develop effective vaccine against HIV due to the nature of the virus. sayso:are you saying that vaccines against diseases are bad? |
CILondon:are you saying a woman is READY for marriage when she has given enough of her "thing" to the man and feels she is been used? |
dominique:the same. also called Gestational carriers. |
well i cant say i blame those who say such things because some pastors with their strict beliefs leaves little room for spontaneity/imagination in marriage. |
lannre:just because they are financial stable doesnt mean they dont lack other things. having stability for many is just a small solution to the bigger problem, many of the so called "well to doers" are emotionally not well to do. therefore they seek that emotional satisfaction outside. (this is response to the fornication part mentioned). as to what women really want that is hard to pinpoint because needs/wants are rarely constant. remember the only thing constant in life is change. |
if this allegation is true, then its really bad. why would she deny an aged mother access to his son? |
Beauty: The Quest to attain the unattainable i want us to discuss the issue of self esteem and self worth among young girls. this issue is very dear to me because i see everyday the detrimental effects of the "lost of self" in young girls. many Young girls today have place their worth/esteem on their "physical appearance". "if only i could look like this, i wish i had her body/face"etc we have been socialized by the media/society, friends/peers etc to appear/look a certain way in order to be socially accepted, loved, wanted, have a sense of belonging and what have you. we no longer value diverse beauty, everyone wants to conform to the "set standard"of "beauty" i want us to discuss specific ways we can help our girls realize and regain their self worth/esteem in a society where everyone is always on a quest to attain the unattainable. |
