Information control, that soldier just mentioned the first and last names of his wife and kid, bad idea, heck i wouldn't want my face shown. The enemy you're fighting live among you, who's to say they won't harm your loved ones if they have the info, bad idea IMO |
Egypt kills 40 'terrorists' in crackdown after Giza attack That's the kind of response Nigeria should initiate whenever BH do stuff like that, let them hear from you. But in our case, oh well |
Bro, use your head, why can't you post exactly what was said? Because nowhere in that link anything about begging for mercy was mentioned, nor did it mention anything regarding BH inflicting losses on the Nigerian military. So why do you have to misinterprete what was said? That's the point of this, i don't even care if this was new or not, why the misleading interpretation. "Nigeria’s Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, appealed directly to Taco Gilbert, the Senior Vice President of Sierra Nevada Corporation, while he was on a visit to Abuja." Dictionary appeal : make a serious or urgent request, typically to the public. Now how is that begging for mercy? All you need to show is some decency and not act like a clown. I mean, you're supposed to be an adult, yea? Have a good one. SupremeCourt: |
See, now you understand why i questioned what the guy wrote, i don't understand why some people seems happy when we have setbacks or just enjoy ridiculing the military, and to go as far as to make sh!t up, that's just sad What was posted wasn't even new content Algerian1: |
I'm talking about the contexts of their conversations, not pictures, pics didn't say we were begging for mercy or whatever the term the other guy used, the language of his post was what i wondered about bidexiii: |
How many bombs are we gonna drop on single targets? dropping a bomb to kill a guy on motorcycle seems like wasting tons of money. But yea, good images there though. Wish they can target these guys when they gather around, wipe them out en-mass, that would be great. Xbee007: |
lol, when someone typed up unverified info, which made it seems this man was on his knees begging for Tucanos, i had to question that lol bidexiii: |
Have you seen the article where he stated this? I find it strange how one would think this man will beg manufacturers for mercy, it's the wording of this i find hard to believe, where is the article stating this? We sure love dragging ourselves thru the mud, don't we prolog2: |
And where is the article stating this? SupremeCourt:[/b] |
And how many times are you lot gonna rant about the same sh!t you've talked about a million times? We know, what else is new? fvk If you are a Nigerian, then I'm sure you have relatives there, what would have become them, without those same soldiers guarding that Country? The madness of you guys always lumping all soldiers together, regardless of the sacrifices made by many of these men is truly mind boggling. There are soldiers that have died fighting these guys, that escape your minds? If you can do better, why are you here ranting Omololu001: |
It's not that easy, if it was, the Taliban won't still be around after going toe to toe with a so called Super power for more than a decade, now that super power wants to negotiate, same reason why the war in Columbia lasted over 50yrs or so. Now I've had people say we shouldn't compare ours with that of the US in Afghanistan, simply because we are in our own backyard, please, what has the Govt done for the people living in those remote areas? As far as they know, they have no Govt. With all the power the US brought to bear, they still couldn't win, even with local troops. If boko haram have a structure, where they live and hang daily, this war would be over months after it started. Soldiers have to spread out and defend tons of town and villages, Boko don't have to do any of that. All they have to do is overwhelm a certain position, and disappear afterwards. Now where they disappear to is the question lol, how on earth are these people just dispersing without any asset tracking them to their last known location? weird. That said, our own failure against these guys have been spectacular , it shouldn't be this bad for our troops prolog2: |
Sad to hear this Chief, hang in there, it's a sad situation over there. CNNNIGERIA1: |
Na him dey write the check? you people are funny, it's not up to him to acquire air-frames, he can state what's needed, if his superiors say NO, what's he supposed to do? Rob Russia? or Belarus lo Maduawuchukwu: |
"Similarly, a Search and Rescue team has been constituted." I'm guessing that's a coded word for few soldiers missing? bidexiii: |
Syria downed couple of US aircraft? In which reality did that happen? Assad won't dare attack US aircrafts, I mean, what's the point? There are US troops in Syrian territory, why didn't Assad attack them? He do that and its over for him, no joke. And to say the US military is leaving out of fear of Russia? What are you talking about dude US packing up is indeed a victory for Syria, Iran and Russia, i support all those countries, but let's not twist things and make it all sound weird lol. No such thing as US being scared of Russia krattoss: |
It's tiring, these guys repeat same shi!t over and over, I mean, dang slimthugchimee2: |
What some of you guys don't get is this, without the same soldiers you keep calling cowards, We wouldn't have a country called Nigeria today. The only entity that has held BH at bay is that same military, so if they run from fighting BH, then please explain who is keeping BH from marching on Abuja and hanging the President and other elected officials? You can't have it both ways. I've criticized some of our troops when they lose or run from the enemy, but that's just a fraction of troops deployed, there are units dealing decisive blows to BH on a regular basis, therefore we shouldn't generalize and call all our soldiers cowards and only able to beat civilians, that's ignorance |
2:19.. I have never seen a soldier play guitar while matching lol, that was a first, that was funny and so out of place lol bidex111: |
You know say Naija no dey unveil new assets unless you have those tribal chiefs present. A few of them dey Saudi Arabia dey undergo treatment, when them don dey well enough and come back to Naija, na then we go see our Yahbon ![]() jakeporeshenko: |
E-rats, seriously? oh man, you be one crazy human being lolrugged7: |
Exactly, but unless they are not in custody of troops and pose a threat, such execution is unwarranted, but we all know even the most powerful countries out there have soldiers that do these things, except not so glaring to the point of sharing it with the world. You executed a bad guy, keep it under wraps , not record it, doing that shows these soldiers either have little respect for the law or chain of commandjteku: |
I see some people justifying what the soldiers did, regardless of the crimes those men have committed, those soldiers should be tried and sentence to life in prison for their execution. You can't claim to be a profession fighting force while executing unarmed combatants, I'm pretty sure those soldiers violated so many laws right there, including murder, you don't become what you are trying to stop. Personally, I support killing these guys the moment they are caught, but that's just impulses, which is why laws are in place to check them jteku: |
Morals get dampened because these soldiers don't seems to have capable leaders. Pay these guys more money, have disciplined leaders in charge of units and give them the tools they need to get the job done, and of course reduce the duration of their deployment, Jeez, 4yrs? That's insane . Soldiers need to have breaks btw deployment. I still think the welfare of these soldiers aren't prioritized, and if you don't take care of them, what reason do they have to fight and die for people who don't give a damn about them? This is a time of war, and last thing any military formation need are soldiers who will simply lay down their arms and run and never to be heard from again, such soldiers should get life imprisonment, such actions aren't good for the overall well-being of the military. In combat, you need soldiers you can rely on, that's important, it's a matter of life and death. So to those that can't stand the heat, don't join in the first place ( We all know it's not an easy ask or Task, being a soldier). Nigeria has enough young men that will join and fight, but their welfare should be priority, above all else As for the political jargon that's been going on here, chill guys |
Una don turn this thing into the British House of Commons. ![]() All we need is thread related contents, not these forth and back. Jeez |
How is that "african-militaries-security-services-strictly" working out lol. If you lots can take your ramblings someplace else, most of us would appreciate it |
Nigerians should focus on today's reality, not dwell and relish the successes of the Country's past, that's not reality, reality is today, and the hell Nigeria has become, it's military included. That should be the focus, and how to make it better. Enough said, these forth and back thing is annoying |

That's a disgusting thing to say, his pot belly? You posted a picture of a man who has just being victimized, killed and you are making fun of his belly? Seriously? That's effed up dude. Regardless of what he did or didn't do, no need for such senseless remark. I don't know the man, and don't support any political party, before anyone think I'm Buhari's forgotten son krattoss: |
Sure no need to use overwhelming force when faced with crowds like that, at the same time we have certain groups in that country that have no respect for the rule of law nor respect the right of others to their property. Some people in that crowd were throwing stones, and soldiers do have the right to self defense, but when assailants are mixed with unarmed civilians, it become dicey , but such force shouldn't have been used, kicking and beating people like that is part of the unprofessionalism we've been talking about, all they had to do was detain those they caught and take them to custody, no need for the assault. Both sides are at fault here. If told to disperse ,why not respect that? Instead of literally trying to overrun men with guns, what did you think was gonna happen? What would you do if hundreds of angry people descend on your position? Fight hand to hand? They used the only tool they had, that was their gun. Not saying anything here was right, but both sides are to blame, you can't attack or confront armed troops and expect them to stand there and watch while being stoned to death. |
What you do is of no consequence to me bro, just pointed out the hypocrisy in your comment. And no, nothing wrong with having a discussion, it's been done a million times here, so not saying i was following your footstep, so whatever you stole is your business. why the drama. So will patiently wait for those pics, wouldn't wanna ruin ya thread Have a good one Chief Henry240: |
lol, really? How do you point out stuff to others while you are constantly guilty of same? That's hilarious bro Henry240: |
Gotcha, we were (myself and the other dude) referring to the North East, all good bro Odunayaw: |
