Shhhh, stop, I've been told on here that you have to be a CAI agent to spy or gather intelligence for America lol.
But being courteous doesn't equal being stupid, I'm sure the man know better, then again
Tobiloba2407:
I hope the chief knows this woman has made her career as an intelligence officer....she is basically a spy, because he seems so cozy, with a junior female officer

When you are a dictator, you keep the soldiers happy, failure to do so will lead to your downfall, money buy their loyalty grin grin

Because you can't kill them all, it's a normal process, nothing new about that. Why drag it out when you can offer them a second chance and save more lives in the process.
Besides, it's all a waste of time and resources, unless the Government in Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon and Chad start developing these remote areas and actually carry out their responsibilities, this will never end. Extreme poverty and lack of development is always gonna be a reason for all sort of sh!t

The MNJTF wishes to warn individuals still associated with Boko Haram to surrender themselves for demobilization and rehabilitation, while the opportunity still exists...
After all what they have done...why will any right thinking government do that.

And you need to calm down dude, what spare tires are you talking about anyways? See, you have no idea what i was talking about, i wasn't talking about spare tires, i was talking about the actual tires the vehicle had, and my comment wasn't to criticize, why the insecurity?
I'm not going to post a better APC from around the world etc, why the drama? You love making comparison, I'm sure there are better APCs from around the world, i don't care about that, I never said it was a bad vehicle grin grin
Why do some of you guys carry fire for head, i stole your religion or what? lol, calm down.
It's the best APC I've ever seen, better? grin grin
Simply thought the tires look small compared to the body of the vehicle, doesn't mean I'm right, just what i thought, not a criticism . Jeez
Henry240:
Why do some Nigerians have to be so negative all the time. It's exhausting.

Off all the amazing features of this vehicle, the only thing that caught your attention is a spare tyre which clearly is not a part of this vehicle.

It clearly carries military grade tyres. It's also mainly a police apc.

Why don't you post any better APC from around the world, I'll wait.

I know lots of Nigerians here who buy cars that's been involved in accidents, fix them up and sell those cars in Naija, they make pretty good money on it, and out here, there are tons of mechanic garages with such vehicles. perhaps if you have people overseas that you trust, then that could work, so you don't have to travel
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay:
Amazing, i moved on from this, praised your contribution on this thread, then you had to act stupid, who the fvk was talking about flintlock? did i mention flintlock when i talked about Sudan? Yo bro, please kindly piss off. I wasn't talking about flintlock when i talked about Sudan.
Some of you fools will make good stalkers, move the fvk on. I was referring to Sudan and Saudi Arabia, not flintlock. butt off
The hell is wrong with some of you A-holes thinking you can just insult people because you felt like it. Damn
And for someone who called me ignorant, i find the bolded quite sad to read, haha, Africom don't spy they are not CIA, really? oh boy, that's some naive way of thinking, you know every one that work there? Any US Govt outfit that deals with security gathers intelligence, to think Africom wouldn't do this? Wow, I'm speechless on that one. bravo.
Apologies, they are full of saints and will never spy. Hope that ends it, grin grin grin
jakeporeshenko:
Is Sudan at Flintlock dude apply common sense, the guys at that exercise are being trained so they can be better equipped to secure their region.

Intel gathering and data collection doesn’t take place at multinational exercises, africom is not CIA they don’t “SPy” that’s like saying department of homeland security will invade another country, there’s no logic behind that.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 9:09pm On Mar 04, 2019
And i hope you understand your ignorance by having blind trust in a foreign Govt grin grin
Now i wonder how much Sudan was getting paid for deploying troops to Yemen or so... How brave.
And for the record, I've learned a few things from some of you guys on here, yourself included, keep up the good work.
it's been fun, have a good one
jakeporeshenko:
bros none of this applies to Africa, just trying to help you see the ignorance in your initial statement, but yeah God forbid that.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 8:54pm On Mar 04, 2019
haha, dude, just because i said fingerprint, doesn't encompass all i meant, do i really need to explain that. And yes, it's quite easy to verify the info of all the soldiers involved, but that's not something i wanna waste my time on.
And like i said, some of these things can be done in-house, it's lack of seriousness to have a foreign soldier come here and teach African soldiers how to do CPR, or how to bandage a wound. Never said nothing can't be gained, I said i don't trust them.
It's not about demonizing anyone, the US specifically have a really bad track record of this, that speaks for itself.
I remember years ago when a US official was talking to the media and saying they've talked to a leader of one country, so they could deploy their soldiers into another, which was why i used the term Mercenary, wasn't literal, but we are getting into a scenario where US will tell you to deploy your troops to a 3rd country and they will provide your troops with logistics and more, and so it begins.
But not to worry, just the ignorant me spewing his mind, moving on. Trust them if you want Chief, don't care.
See all the years we've been fighting BH, it's like it all started yesterday. You learn, adapt, get creative, have professionals in all fields embedded with troops during training etc, ( I think having well versed psychologists isn't bad either) all these things help, but for us, we wait until outsiders come to show us what to do and how to do it, whatever happened to ingenuity
Looking forward to next exercise, we need more soldiers who could use a lesson on how to handle a rifle grin grin
And next time you disagree with an opinion, unless i took your religion from you, don't respond with an insult. State yours, and heck i could learn from it, why not.
And to borrow your word, only a deeply ignorant person will say this is just an exercise, it's another great way to get intel, if you think that hasn't happened, then i have a bridge in Moscow to sell to you. It's called "Data", it might not be valuable to them now, it might be tomorrow, they collect it all... Yep, call me paranoid
And as a guy who has spent most of his life here in New York, I'm not demonizing Western countries, I'm demonizing Western Governments, even Americans don't trust their own Govt, why do you? surprise surprise, there's a huge difference btw the two
jakeporeshenko:
This is typical demonizing western countries, you think you can judge a week long exercise based on the 30 or so pictures you’ve seen? How poor is your judgment man ?
Are you aware that even medical, IT and airborne training was involved in flintlock ?

Spy? If they want to spy on us is it by collecting finger prints of our soldiers ? How will they profile the fingerprints and match them to any specific Identity ?

Anyways the whole point of your argument is that western countries are turning African soldiers into mercenaries please how huh huh

Best of all the exercise is free and funded by AFRICOM, they literally send US AirForces plane to pick up your guys so why the fork not ?
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 8:19pm On Mar 04, 2019
Might wanna calm down, and use your common sense to realize that part of my comment was said in jest, so calm the fvk down.
But not trusting those guys, i stand by that, they are gaining valuable live saving tactics, doing what exactly? Not saying nothing can't be gained, but dont act like a slowpoke and think African soldiers don't know how most of these things.
Sure all we've seen here are pictures, and if you call yourself a special forces soldier and don't already know some of the silly things we keep seeing in pictures, then you shouldn't have a military.
The idea of opening up your country to any western nation is in of itself ignorance.
Train your own soldiers, collaborate when possible, but keep your sh!t in house, regardless whether you have something to hide or not.
So get off my mention, you don't gotta agree, and i don't care what you think of my comment either, it's called an opinion, some of it in jest, some not.
Unless you were born yesterday, these Western Govts spy in all kind of ways, were you not alive only a few years ago when news got out about US agencies tracking everything foreign leaders were doing, even their credit card usage etc, so yes, only an idiot would trust them. It's that simple, you keep them at arms length and get what you can from them, letting them in is a bad idea
And when i said mercenary, you took that so literal, oh boy, have a good day dude
jakeporeshenko:
This has to be one of the most ignorant things I’ve ever read on Nairaland, those African soldiers are gaining valuable live saving training/tactics and techniques from these multi national exercise. The US is slowly pulling out its special forces from this part of Africa (Sahel) and those soldiers from Cameroon, Mali, Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Burkina Faso you see will have to feel in the vacuum, they have to bare the brunt and do most of the fighting (as they always have), ISIS is loading ground in Iraq and Syria, Africa is the next objective, the ideology is already in play and this part of the world already has a massive population of unemployed and uneducated youths.

How can they turn African soldiers into mercenaries if the special forces are fighting for their own home land ? Is the Us paying the salaries of those African special forces ?
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 7:17pm On Mar 04, 2019
lol, African partners, yea right, African troops are being slowly turned into mercenaries by these Western Countries, you know, deploy your troops somewhere, we will pay for it. All these so called spec forces soldiers etc, the US probably have their fingerprints etc in their database already, never never trust these people, and I'm not a fan of these exercises, just because they are powerful doesn't mean we shouldn't see them as competition or downright as a threat.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 3:54am On Mar 04, 2019
Thought people on here were saying a Pakistani F16 was downed by India, that's not true though, unless i read a comment wrong.

"On Thursday Indian officials displayed to reporters parts of what they called an air-to-air missile that can only be fired from F-16 jets, alleging they were used to bomb its side of the disputed Kashmir border on Wednesday."

I can't view the pics again, too graphic for my stomach, but wasn't his foot literally torn with huge hole in it? no to talk of his heel or whatever i saw earlier, even if that can heal, that's some long journey ahead of this poor guy. Anyways, I'm no medical doctor, i wish the man the best, they deserve better than this, its heartbreaking

Why amputate ?

The leg can be saved and should be saved

I have seen worse cases, where patients kept their legs and resumed duties. It takes time though to regain functionality of the affected leg.

The man is going through hell I tell u. That contraption on his leg is very painful

Someone mentioned on the last page or so, as to how we are losing me to Bh, they lose 5, we lose 4, and call them untrained terrorists .
That's kinda funny, anyone who thinks BH elements aren't trained in weapons handling etc lives under a rock. Just because they aren't enlisted in a military formation doesn't mean they don't have training, and if they can shoot and kill soldiers and even win battles, then they are trained, it's that simple.
Never look down on these guys, fight them like you are fighting an equal or more powerful enemy, otherwise another 10yrs we are still talking about BH attacks. Never underestimate your enemy

Yea, and Nigerian soldiers are all Rambo, how interesting. Please people, we are the last people who should be calling out other military for not being able to fight. Sh!t, when you have hundreds of Nigerian soldiers running from bhts, and you guys are spending the 2nd day talking about Arab armies? that's a laugh out loud moment right there. Look in the mirror folks.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 12:56am On Feb 10, 2019
Right? I mean, when you have a locality with rampant robberies and rape for example, in a real country where accountability matters, the Commander or Chief of that police division gets fired or demoted, when these guys are held accountable, and knowing what's at stake, they will put fire under the men in their command and those men will make sure those robberies etc stop.
I mean, sad to say, but there's a part of me that's always jealous of cops out here, heck you steal $5 the police (upon siting you), will lock down the whole area until you are found, anything that threatens the order in society, they don't joke with it, but in Nigeria we keep treating these things with kid gloves.
You do your show force today, then tomorrow the military or whatever packs up and leave the next day, then the criminals come, kill and loot. We need something sustainable, not some once in a year show of force.
For pete's sake, initiate community policing, get to know the civilians and communities you are supposed to be serving. damn, it hurts. Right there in Akure growing up, i never once saw police patrol my area, in the 17yrs i spent for that country, not once. Isn't that sad?
But when no one is calling out these guys, questioning them, don't answer to the communities they police, then why would they bother doing their job.
Odunayaw:
More disappointing Is that no administration (especially the present one which I expected to be sensible) has bothered to challenge them to do their job

Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay:
Ha, this turned hostile pretty quickly grin grin
I get the point Odunayaw was making, we simply can't say things are fine as they are, just because people are dying or people will die doesn't mean we shouldn't act to prevent such. In countries with serious leadership, 2 people killed will get the attention of those in leadership positions, but in Nigeria, we are losing people by the hundreds, how many countries out there are these happening?
Taking Nigeria as it is and okay with it won't fix the problems, and there are many. That change will come from us.
A video surfaced online a few weeks ago, a lady was stripped naked, with the guys yelling "Ole"(thief) at her, then one of the guy stuck his finger in her, while they record everything.
Now how is sexually assaulting someone, raping them, kidnapping them, less serious than the crime she was accused of? In other words, those same people calling her a thief has committed a more serious crime than the one they are accusing her of, yet saw themselves as the victim, in a country with good law enforcement, women shouldn't be subjected to these kind of treatments.
Nigeria is ill, end of story. No sane person will like it as it is. Unless that person or people are profiting from it
