These statements should be placed in balloons, coz they are nothing but hot air.

Ha, didn't say anyone should care, and i never said i was leaving, want me gone? grin
i ain't feeding anyone on this thread, so why should they care.
You should calm down, obviously you are pained, take am easy ooo
Regardless of how you wanna see it, if my figure is accurate, there were almost 400 men in that place when they were attacked, and yet we got routed, if that's not enough to give anyone pause, then why bother?
Open to correction on the number of troops, but i believe i saw 370 or 340 being thrown around yesterday. That many number of troops should be more than enough to put up one hell of a fight, hold that location until help arrives, but if there is disorganization, that help probably won't come. you don't need to be a soldier to say this.
We should be thankful we aren't located in the middle east, otherwise our sit of power would be located in Ghana by now grin grin . I mean, compare what we are dealing with to the monsters they have other there.
Thought there were no ammunition. ha, i got it, it ran out, okay, i hear ya

bidexiii:
And who cares if you stay or leave.

Allexpensive scenario was totally defferent, he was on patrol or clearance op's if am right. He was not defending or protecting any ground.

According to what he said they did therr best in suppressing the enemy attack before running out of ammunition and retrieved.

Defending your base where there are ammunition dumps/cache is a defferent ball game , these insurgents will attack you in all directions. The numbers of insurgents who normally carry out ambush mission are usually few when compared to a full invasion on bases where they know that they cart away with ammunition, I av been in such scenarios twice on recovering damaged APCS.

Am in full support that our training and doctrine as to be changed but first thing first; we av to do away with obsolete equipment, boost troops morale while these changes are gaining on.

Haha, Oga Henry indeed.
nah he's not going anywhere, he's too addicted to this to walk away now, or we just go kidnap the man and force him to post pictures grin grin
We lost the battle not the war, i still have hope, all is not lost, yet
kabe1:
That's good.

However this one Oga Henry has said he would stop posting anything military related, that's not a good thing though.

Alright people, let's move on. Enough already.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 10:12pm On Nov 24, 2018
There is no inconsistency here, Allexpensive just made similar comment, same thing Henry said yesterday.
Troops won't be deployed without arms, if that's the case how come the enemy is always carting away same arms we claim we don't have?
or did BH brought those with them just so they could stage it?
I said before, some units are doing great, some are not.
You just said bad leadership led to indiscipline among some of these soldiers, yet that's the exact same thing we've been saying since yesterday brah. For real?
And no, I'm not leaving, why would i do that? I enjoy your pics too much for that. So no worries, not going anywhere, and i can't even be banned, ain't that weird.
Simply said i wanted to be done arguing with you, but i see you can't let sh!t go.
I'm not your enemy dude, coz at the end of the day, you made same point I already made since yesterday, except you get confused a little bit, that's okay, it happens.
We should ask Allexpensive if he get sent out to fight without magazines or Ammo, since that's part of the narrative some of you are peddling here.

bidexiii:
slowpoke I thought you where leaving.

Continue displaying level of foolishness and inconsistency.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 10:07pm On Nov 24, 2018
Well, thank you for stating this.
Some people still don't think that's the case.
What you just illustrated right there showed good leadership, sadly it's not all encompassing for the whole Army, if it were, these things wouldn't be happening.
Stay safe Chief

allexpensive:
This is a factual truth. No weapon, no weapon and those bloody fools carted away huge ammunitions.

I think this has to do with training. Was on a clearance op with my boys which include some army guys and the guys said they wish their ops are being coordinated like this. For over a year been here, my unit never runs from those animals. We have experienced only 4 KIA till now which happened through an ambush on my convoy which lasted for like 5 hours.

Number one mission is to survive. I tried my best to save those lives. Their vehicle was stopped by bht bullets leaving them exposed. It was the normal hilux and the bastards focused fire on the vehicle and my guess is they want it to explode. The officers were defenceless as other vehicles are also under fire. We launched RPG at the fire direction since we had no GL. We fired around 11 RPG that day and these guys started coming out , approaching the pinned vehicle with the motive to abduct my boys. I wasn't my self again but the guys were already wounded.

They were able to go with around 8 wounded officers and started retreating. I initiated pursuit after talking to the boys to boost their morale. ISR established situation for us and had to leave our area for whatever mission. Gathered information together and went for the bastards which unfortunately led to a WIA as they had some guys stationed in the bush to open fire on us but fortunately, it was a little injury. We were able to retried all our boys and had 18 bht killed 4 KIA and 3WIA in total.

I've spent an entire day on this already, but fact is, whatever we say here won't do anything to change things. So I'm back to my chill mode , i feel sorry for the soldiers, they deserve much better than what they are being dealt
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 7:31pm On Nov 24, 2018
Brother, that was my question yesterday, i asked if no one radio it in that this attack was taking place, such an attack takes a while to conclude, and yet that many number of terrorists just disappeared? This shows lack of seriousness and utterly bad leadership.
I think someone just talked about the weather, please, this isn't the first time they've attacked and walk away without repercussion

jteku:
And I keep asking after the attack, they walked and disappeared into thin air to chad, were are the MI35m, we have 4 in full service. Were they kept in hangers for the next air show.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 7:21pm On Nov 24, 2018
Okay bro, you are indeed a slowpoke.
Read my past comments on here. I questioned what ever happened to leadership and who are the men responsible for these units in disarray.
But since you don't seem to be intelligent enough ( Yes i now question your intelligence), i will leave you be.
So lack of leadership translates to indiscipline. Good for Bidex.
Because Henry and myself hammered on this only yesterday, so why are you repeating what I've already said? This man have issues.
Bad leadership, i said this yesterday for pete's sake.
Mr Roundabout.... going in circles thinking you are making sense.
We argued for literally no reason, you just came to the same freaking conclusion i already arrived at since yesterday, smh.
Bye dude, you are obviously too slow to deal with.

bidexiii:
You just confirmed that you don't know what you're talking about; you just want to be heard.

In the military when the leadership is faulty & corrupt it translate to indiscipline through the ranks and files of the command, which was what av be saying and you just confirmed it. Do you just want to spin garbage or your problem is comprehending what av been saying .
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 6:30pm On Nov 24, 2018
Don't worry, stable genius Bidexx or whatever his name is, already told me to shut up about it, because according to him, our soldiers have low morale, that's why they lost, smh
A soldier was quoted as saying they were caught off-guard, but someone is arguing that wasn't the case.
So yea, let's go with low morale, it's a great excuse cry

jteku:
What shocks the most is how they were able to coordinate such attacks on a base with over 200 soldiers.

1. Were Nigerian soldiers caught napping.
2. Is the Chadian side of the border so free that they allow this guys coordinate at will.

Our people de tire me I swear.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay:
A fact? What the heck is this man talking about? So you know something for a fact but I'm clueless about same?
Great, our troops lost because of low moral, that translate to what? Lack of leadership, lack of discipline, lack of awareness and the list goes on and on, and yes not sufficiently equipped.
Tell me again, how is that different from what Henry and others have been saying here?
I responded to the Algerian guy, who pretty much wondered about the same issue i discussed, yet you focused just on me. Get a life dude.
You are the last person to tell someone else they have problem that goes beyond comprehension. that's called an insult.
You don't question someone else's intelligence, you don't know me, and you aren't talking to a child . Stay in your lane.
You can't admonish someone for not being civil in their comment while you are busy insulting others, doesn't work that way, it's either you rise above it or you don't .
One second you were telling me to be civil with my comments, and right after that you started hurling insults at Henry. Only hypocrites behave like that.

bidex111:
Please Where did I insult you ... undecided telling you should stop spitting what you don't know of ... huh has become an insult, whereas it's an actual fact.
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 5:28pm On Nov 24, 2018
I get your point, but this only matters in countries where the citizens care about what goes on in Nigeria.
If the people don't protest peacefully, call their representatives and air their grievances etc, trust me, in Nigeria this won't change anything.
There is corruption and lack of progress because the people are used to it, and aren't doing much to hold those in power accountable.
So social media really won't do much, as long as its online and no one is marching to their offices, all they will do is release a statement and everyone move on.
A country can't succeed when you have the majority of the people not interested in how the affairs of the country is being managed .
Imagine what the opposition would be doing right now if this had happened in the US?
They would be making the rounds all over different news networks, exposing the rot in current administration, holding hearing etc, we don't do all that.
We've heard of towns without electricity for months, now tell me which real country that would be ever allowed? In our case we just light our candles and move on with our lives. That's why there is no progress, because there aren't pressure on these fools to do better
patches689:
Yes, social media is very powerfull because you can speak to huge numbers private citizens and raise awareness.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 5:19pm On Nov 24, 2018
You just love going in circles while convincing yourself that you are saying something that makes sense right?
I mean, for the love of God, i just said the country is not worth dying for since the leadership doesn't care about the ppl, i said soldiers should down tools and walk if they aren't being well taken care of, yet you just literally said the exact same thing.
And if they are not willing to, they shouldn't be there, at least they would be alive, in case you still don't get it, them losing the battle wasn't the issue here, them dying is, get it? I got upset and sad that they died. How many times do i gotta repeat this? We lost a lot of soldiers we shouldn't have lost.
wow, well that's it for me on this subject.
But next time you disagree with anything i write, respond without insult, that shouldn't be too hard, i don't know you and we never had issues before, so no need for all that.

bidex111:
So don't spiit what you don't know of huh

War are not combat games you guys think it his; even the developed countries who are fighting ISIS & Taliban are not finding it easy, terrorism is still as strong and present there.

If these soldiers are not giving the right morale, equipment and environmental it's going to get worst than these with the new alliance terrorist are forming.

If you guys like type all your Jagons; it will never change anything. Those soldiers are not willing to die like fowls anymore for these country.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay:
I've restrained myself from insulting you, but for some reason you don't seem understand never to insult others without being insulted.
How big of a punk are ya?
I said what i said, if it pisses you off, jump off a fvking bridge you silly illiterate, who the heck are you to question my intelligence.
The hell is wrong with you guys talking to others as if you own them?
What such military base are you talking about huh? A soldier , according to info posted on here, said they were caught off-guard, but you are here insisting they weren't, okay.
Regardless whether they were or weren't, that won't bring back the dead.
So get off my case dude.
You had to go back and read comments that was posted several pages back? really?
And why the heck would i wanna join the military in a semi-failed country where the leadership don't give a darn about the people? Show me why Nigeria is worth dying for. Look around you, what benefit are the people reaping for being Nigerians? Nada.
Being a soldier wasn't by force, if you choose to enlist, be ready for the blood and tears, it's not for everyone, don't insult others because they weren't in the military, that's just stupid.
My uncle was gunned down over there months ago while in uniform with pictures of his corpse all over the internet, you sit there and talk to me about some bs. Each family that has made sacrifice knows what they've lost.
Having obsolete equipment is an issue, i never denied that, no one did.
Now your excuse was that they lost because they had low morale? okay, tomorrow if would be because they had flat tires.
Keep on with the excuses, let's see who that helps.
You? you wanna lecture me about comprehension? This must be a joke.

We don't have a professional Army, we have some professional units within the Army, that's about it.
Watch the video and see the disarray, without anyone being in charge of the situation. What kind of military do we have where soldiers can just up and walk away after an attack, who's in charge etc.
But hey, let's blame me and my lack of comprehension.
After all you claimed to have "shot a commission". This is the guy questioning my intelligence. Stay in your lane chief .
bidex111:
Your problem goes beyond comprehension. So you think for such a big military base there are no patrols and observation post/towers. They where simply overrun with obsolete equipment to defend themselves, soldiers with already weakened moral.

You've been shouting hundreds of terrorists don't appear from thin air and dissappear after overrunning a base. What happens to proper equipment to fight back, soldiers welfare..etc without all these forget we can't win these war. It will always be a step forward and few backwards. If it pisses you off, please come join the army and see the hell the guys are going through. undecided
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 12:01am On Nov 24, 2018
Its heartbreaking bro, i feel their pain, and to make it worse they seem lost amid all that chaos without any real leadership. Just sad man.

Can you imagine......... Can you just imagine how incompetent Nigerian soldiers are? angry angry
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 11:45pm On Nov 23, 2018
Like Henry and i said before, total lack of discipline and rotten chain of command is a huge problem here, and lack of organization.
In that video you can hear that soldier telling others to stay if they want, or leave.
Begs the question, who the fvk is in charge of these units? Because in a situation like this, leadership is critical, and i see that sorely lacking, someone gotta calm such situation down, but as usual, that was a break down right there.
what a shame.
Those guys should down their tools and walk, until those leaders take human life seriously .
And why make this a tribal thing? damn
Litmus:
Someone posted a youtube video on Beegsblog depicting individuals porprting to be surviving Nigerian solders in the aftermath of the attack commenting hysterical on background destroyed military vehicles such as Tanks, APC’s and the like. Supposing the Vid is true and not ducted in any way by unscrupulous individuals bent on exploiting the current debacle for political purposes , what sort of weapon could Bokoharam have employed in shattering those tanks and heavy equipment so utterly?

this is the vid:

Read btw the lines, i paraphrase "Only a basterd soldier" ( meaning any soldier worldwide ) would use being caught unaware as an excuse for defeat, and i stand by that.
I never said all Nigerian soldiers are bastards.

bidex111:
@sizzorky you r right but you don't expect me to keep my mouth shot when some nutty head insult you grin

They should just dissolve the Nigerian police lol, like for real, it should be their job arresting and hunting down kidnappers. Smh
Yes i know some were deployed, I'm talking about other crimes in other states where soldiers are being used to do police work, the heck is wrong with this country, ugh

So much for that civility huh? How do you admonish me for using a certain word, only for you to do the same more than 3 times in less than 2hrs grin grin grin, ain't that weird, should take your own advice bro
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 8:22pm On Nov 23, 2018
Someone was saying they had watch towers and that the attack happened at night, i didn't see one, and there was daylight.
Yes the mil have bases in the region, heck probably more than anywhere else in the country, just guessing.
And yes, I'd wish such videos weren't shared or spread, it's pure propaganda, but i also get why some would wanna watch it, had to force myself to , literally.
I just think they are spread too thin all over the place, it's a massive area, and those in charge doesn't seem to spend enough time fortifying where they stay, could be because they didn't plan on being there for long, who knows.
This ruined my day for real, but worse for those who lost their lives, and their loved ones, imagine how many households in mourning right now, a mother trying in vain trying to reach her deployed son over the phone and he was gone.
Damn
Algerian1:
Very sad video . report the video of the attack. Terrorist propaganda must not be allowed to spread .

Rip to the brave soldiers that fought and died .

we can see a helicopter in the begining of video . The high officer used it to run ? Why mi 35 havnt came instead . huh the camp was not correctly set , some trenches and sandbag only and we can see that there is no watch tower, no fence, no mines. Maybe they dont expect a big attack in this region . for a big batlion like this they should be in a true solid base . nigerian army havnt bases in the north ?
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 8:10pm On Nov 23, 2018
Well perhaps they thought why bother, it's a country full of young people, there are millions more children of mostly struggling families they can throw out there to fight.
The leaders have acted like life is cheap, and that didn't just started, why are you surprised? I'm not.
There's more where those soldiers come from ( their thinking), Nigerian leaders seems to have more important things to deal with.
In any serious country, this would be an Emergency situation, but it's happened before, no lesson learned, so don't expect any.
More needs to be done for our soldiers in terms of support, financial support and provide them with modern equipment that will give them an edge, not make them an equal to the enemy.
And perhaps remove people from remote areas, when soldiers are stretched too thin because they have too many villages and towns to cover, BH only have to overwhelm one position and bam, that battle will be lost.
I say demolish these small villages and move the people out. Sure not pc, but troops can't be everywhere and secure everywhere, or arm the people and let them be on their own.

fabselad:
Your totally right. They act like they are heartless, no statement, no flags flown on half mast, nothing nothing. Even Cameroon were our leaders are blood lovers don't act like that. at least they give a press conference even if it's to tell a HUGE lie but at least they show concern. Am just thinking about those families in pains without news of their family members.
The weapons collected will serve in attacks against neighboring nations. Am getting info from a friend in the BIR in the north that troops are on high alert due to this increase in attacks of BH.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 7:59pm On Nov 23, 2018
We have massive shortcomings in that Country.
Now what's happened has happened, but no one here ask one simple question.
Where did BHT go after these attacks?
Imagine having 100s of terrorists carry out such act and they just evaporate? They drove there, someone claimed this happened at night, the video i just saw says otherwise. Even if true, they were still there till day break.
So in a war zone, where soldiers probably radioed this in, yet no one was able to track hundreds of terrorists within our own boarders? They just drove off in pick up trucks and got to where they were going safe and sound.
And no one sees anything wrong with this? We've lost control of our own country if this could happen and have no clue as to the whereabouts of that many terrorists.

bless you.
That's what i just said, have people on watch and on patrols etc, but some people thought i watched too much movies, unreal, this is basic common sense
Not the first time news sources has quoted soldiers saying they were caught unaware, that's lack of discipline, you can't be caught unaware in a war zone, no one said it's easy, i keep stressing that point.
hundreds of terrorists just don't appear from thin air.
How does this not piss people off

Algerian1:
Dont know how gard system is done but in a war zone its impossible to be caught unaware for this kind of hudge attacks.

in the miradors there is always soldiers 24/7 and down near the miradors also a rotation of soldiers to defend and watch the soldiers on the miradors . even if a sniper silently killed 2 , 3 guys on miradors to infiltrat a team and attack from inside defenses (used by terrorists in algeria in 90's) . the soldiers near watching the mirador give the alerte .

And when alerte is given, urgence plan thats was done during training start . the gard team armed and always on standby take position to stop first waves giving time to all soldiers to equip and take defensive positions .

So dont think they could be caught unaware if standard gard system was applied
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 5:39pm On Nov 23, 2018
Some people sha.
So after what, 9yrs or so fighting these guys, we are here using BHTs style of attack as a reason why soldiers run or die?
If you know how they attack, why not learn and adapt? Or is that a foreign concept? after how many years? lord have mercy.
By now our military leaders should have learned enough to be teaching foreign militaries insurgency tactics that they have learned through blood and tears, but we seem to haven't learned a darn thing after so many years.
Good luck to everyone, shiny new weapons don't win wars, well trained and dedicated soldiers do.
The moment a unit get disorganized while under fire, that battle is lost, would you stand and keep fighting while your peers are off running away? Nope, that's how people get killed, because that unit just collapsed .
I guess we should all wait until those new weapons arrive.
And to those who don't get it, it's the right of the citizenry to blame and complain when there are setbacks, you can't get mad and force people not to vent, it's unnatural and it won't work.
We vent because lives were lost, weirdly, we are still on same side on this, just pissed that's all
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 5:25pm On Nov 23, 2018
You must know me very well to know that i can't kill a rat.
Can you read? Because if you can, then from what was posted earlier, a soldier admitted being caught unaware.
So you saw nothing wrong with that? What happened to constant patrol of your immediate area, few soldiers on watch at all times for any slight movement etc. Sure I'm no expert, and never said war was easy, I'm saying if i were a soldier, my number 1 goal would be to live to see another day, that means taking caution and making sure the environment i wanna relax in, is safe enough and have defensive perimeter set.
But what do i know.
And what movies are you talking about dude? This is common sense, and i wasn't talking about rotation in terms of deployment
Rotation means having troops on guard at all times, regardless where you are, even if it's done in 4hr shifts, while the rest of the soldiers rest up, clean their equipment etc.
Like someone said here, some of the soldiers weren't even properly dressed when they were gunned down, which means, as that soldier said, they were caught with their pants down. But hey, let's blame lack of weapons for it.
If that narrative help you sleep better at night, good for you.
You gotta understand that my reaction was done in anger and pain, that we lost so many soldiers, how many more will die before we get our sh!t together
Even if you have useless commanders, take the initiative and protect where you are camping out, no matter for how long, it's your life, ain't it?

bidex111:
So you think the soldiers on duty/guard at that point of time where not doing there job cool huh

Or they told you, they where not properly rotated, most of you guys here watch a lot war movies and play combat videos games, these war sometimes is not a textbook thing.

People like you can't kill a rat, yet you have the balls to call someone "BASTERD SOLDIER". Please make your points in a civilised manner, tnx.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 4:48pm On Nov 23, 2018
I think some of you guys missed Henry's point, which i kinda see.
Those BHT guys didn't appear out of thin air, and they surely didn't show up with futuristic weapons, it's those same Aks and RPGs with their gun trucks, and yet over 370 soldiers got whopped, that's the point.
What ever happened to being aware? 24/7 look outs on rotation etc. You don't get caught unaware, only a basterd soldier will ever say such thing.
Caught unaware? You were in a war zone, and that soldier made such excuse? No one said war was easy, but you chose to be there, it's a choice, and those not willing to do it shouldn't.
Running away coz you hear bullets coming from all sides isn't exactly what soldiers were taught, was it?
Perhaps some of these guys should take that whole zone as enemy territory and not relax as if it wasn't a war zone, you don't get caught unaware while in battle, that was an annoying excuse
