Trust me, not defending anyone, just wondered what role SA soldiers played during that era and how the majority of the population saw them.
Thx for the response

patches689:
They are
A. South African
B. Soldiers

Hence, the term "South African Soldiers" is wholly applicable. Its would be the same if I posted pictures of Nigerian troops from the dictatorship years and labelled them "Troops of the X Dictatorship" or whatever - or pictures of the RUF and called them "Freedom-fighters" instead of the more unbiased term "militants".

The only people who use "aparthied soliders" are people who have bias - same with "nazi soldiers" instead of "german soldiers" or "communist soldiers" instead of "russian soldiers". If you are trying to record history you have to use non-biased and unemotional language.

But then again, the man in question who is "simply recording history" labelled Namibian soldiers as South African "Apartheid Soldiers" and refused to amend the error. You and I both know why he does what he does, no point in trying to defend him.
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 1:00am On Nov 23, 2018
During apartheid, who's soldiers were they? I mean, there was minority rule based on oppression and subjugation of the majority of the SA population, and were those soldiers used to some extent to enforce that minority rule? Hard to call it SA soldiers if they participated in such abuse.
Soldiers represent the entire country, during apartheid era, did they? This is my opinion, not my country, so I'm open to correction.
Just wanted your opinion of course, not trying to argue, perhaps an explanation would help.
I should get me a book on this, someday, and read up grin

patches689:
So why not just call them "South African soldiers"?
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 5:46pm On Nov 20, 2018
Coming from someone preaching about not fueling cycle of hate, let me tell you why people throw insults rather than engage in constructive discussions, it's because they lack the intelligence or social skills to do so.
I told Henry not to start something with SA.
I told that same Henry to leave SA matters alone in other to avoid arguments.
You think I'm a slave to Henry? lol. I don't know Henry, what I've done here is advise people to tone things down. But you showed up by making things worse with your insults, even the person that responded to the initial comment didn't respond with insults.
You either have multiple personalty disorder or just lack basic intelligence to engage in constructive dialogue.
Not sure why you think i care about any matter regarding SA or any other country other than Nigeria on this thread, if SA is doing good, great for them, what interest me are pics from Nigeria and that's why i skip every other Military pics posted on this thread, rarely look at them. I have nothing against SA or members from SA on here.
And for someone acting belligerent, i think you are the one in need of mental evaluation.
Stop acting like a kid, only someone with poor upbringing who lacks basic decency act like this in a public space, you don't know me, and the last thing you want is get into this kind of backtalk with me, I will gladly put you in your place. Now take your med and do something with your life.
Bye boy.
This chapter is now over. Sleep over it, next time you show up here, show some manners and make your folk proud. Either act like an adult and get treated as one, or act like a kid and get sent to a corner to face a wall, (aka Timeout)

upko1:
Yes actually, id!ots have no mind of their own.

Another f00l without a mind of his, don't you have a butt to lick, other than relying to me? I don't expect logic from you TBH, given your perpetual history of asslicking.
It's almost 2019 and y'all are still stuck on this Nigeria vs SA bullshit.
Go back take your head out of Henry's behind and see how your boyfriend started all this mess, Only odunayaw and xbee called him out. Slave!!!!

In an issue that didn't concern you, you responded by calling someone an idiot, even the person he was talking to didn't get offended.
What is wrong with some of you guys

Police force all over the world is being militarized, you should see cops here in the US, you would think they are being deployed to Syria or something, and yes they also wear camo, and they are not regular cops. So many layers to it, from SWAT, to detectives, to street patrol in uniforms and the list goes on and on. Who knows man, but it's nothing new
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 7:31pm On Nov 18, 2018
lol, i used that term "fury" jokingly, oga, relax.
It's beginning to look as if one needs health insurance with a handful of holy water just to visit this page nowadays lol. Then you say "The lord is my shepherd" while you are at it. grin
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 5:08pm On Nov 18, 2018
lol, Nemesis, do you own Tejas? haha, why the fury, didn't know what he wrote was offensive. We should try and correct one another, instead of getting mad about things.
Is Tejas up and running? Have no clue, but if it is, you can tell us now , haba grin grin grin
No vex

nemesis8u:
Next time check twice before bullshiiting , remember last time we crossed paths with the helicopter issue , and as the real world issues unfolded u ended up looking stupid or maybe u r as clueless as ever.
Either way makes no difference.

Provoking and bullshittting others needlessly is a bad habit

Letting this one slide.

I still find it funny how these BHT terrorists and others dress lol, they just mix up whatever they can find, haha. It's hilarious
They should have a jihadi fashion magazine grin grin
Baba Suwe have nothing on those guys lol, na tight competition.
Anyways, regardless of when he died, as long as he is, it's great news
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 11:26pm On Nov 17, 2018
Henry self, leave anything South Africa matter alone, whatever acquisition they made or didn't make no concern us now grin grin
And perhaps it will be nice if people don't resort to insults over something so simple, Jeez.
he said something about SA, if you think he was wrong, show your reason with proof and that should do it, throwing insults around only invite same, then the whole thread goes to sh!t, what ever happen to men acting like men and not children.
And if anyone feel slighted by my comment, feel free to insult me, won't respond to ya. Life's too short for drama

The 2nd vid with RED DRAGON, honestly i thought i was watching some Nigerian movie grin grin grin

fabselad:
lol this guys are just facebook warriors who think witchcraft can win a war.the military has been dealing with them on after another. to be frank it's not an easy war but the military, after some loses has been doing the right job. just this week the military killed closed to 30 + rebels and one of their generals. all i wish is for dialogue to take place and also peace to reign cause this war has brought destruction in both anglophone regions.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 4:59pm On Nov 17, 2018
I feel for these guys always in hiding bragging to their silly followers about being tough and hard to kill, if that's the case why hide? Show your face and end up dead in few minutes. Nothing scary about them , just people fighting a losing battle. If that's what they call an army, they might as well go home. And I'm definitely no siding with the Cameroonian Govt.
We've seen same thing in Nigeria, bunch of guys with guns talking trash like they can take on the whole Nigerian Military, smh
Good luck to them

You really won't find answer to an interview question here, not sure how things work regarding this, but can't you go to one of their offices and see if they have booklet or whatever resources they could direct you to? Just a thought, good luck

Please i wanted to seek your advice on something I applied for FRSC RECRUITMENT and I have been invited for an interview. Please as a military man, can you please share any idea of likely question they could possibly ask? Thanks

Oh c'mon, sure all i see is a pic, i don't know what's going on there, so your idea is to compound the trauma they've been through just because they've already been traumatized? lol, okay Doc.
Leaving it alone, just thought there's gotta be a better way, what are the kids gonna do? Walk back to BH from whatever shelter the Govt puts them? anyways, it's a sad state of affairs, those were our fellow citizens, look at their condition. It's heartbreaking .
bidex111:
Both the kids and the mother are traumatised already neither an you trust other of them.

You have to do the needful, such a complex war.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 8:08am On Nov 14, 2018
yea man, it's an awesome show, saw the latest episode a few hrs ago, i think it's the end. Ship is destroyed, Gustavo or whatever his name is, dead, lol, i think that's it for the show, unless another enemy rears its head, but since that ship is gone, i doubt the show will continue

krattoss:
that series is my greatest series of all times.

I wish nollywood has enough Arsenal's and funds to showcase the prowess of our military excapades and might.

NAF can do it if they want, even if it's just 30 mins.

I learnt the navy is cooking something of that sort. But that news died like pack of cards.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 2:18am On Nov 14, 2018
the last ship is in it's 5th Season, it's a tv show, this is a documentary.
Now of course it also depends on how much material the Air force has, otherwise you can only stretch things so far

krattoss:
would have preferred a series - like documentary.
Like the last ship, and co.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 2:14am On Nov 14, 2018
I was talking about those traumatized kids chief, not the adults

LTGEN:
For Security reasons , the women who have been " rescued " are blindfolded , so that they will not give the location upon their release to bh terrorists.
some of them have been "married " to these bh going on two three years as a result their loyalty is suspect, they will be transported and debriefed, the last thing the NA wants is to facilitate an attack on one of its own fobs.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 11:06pm On Nov 12, 2018
I see a huge error in those pics, specifically the last one. Who blindfold children? Aren't they traumatized enough?
I don't think that should have been done.
And of course anyone with a better narrative as to why that was done, is free to share, without insults.

lol, you said you would let it slide, i said that's good , and called you brother.
Then you made another comment insulting me, is that how you let things go? You think you have monopoly here? Letting it go as in doing me a favor? Eat dirt , boy. Now we are done
jln115:
If you had any shred of logic you would have easily deduced the fact he was talking about defence companies.....regardless of the actual word for word post.

Secondly you just couldn't let it go could hey grin grin had to have the last word even after i said ill let it slide.......
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 12:44am On Nov 12, 2018
Sub-par comprehension? lol, boy , must be really hard for you guys to use your common sense.
You corrected your initial comment, i acknowledged it, and moved on, but here you are, digging sh!t up again.
There must be something truly wrong with you guys.
And if I'm to guess, I'd say your initial comment was to take a swipe at Nigeria by assuming there was no company there worth 100 million.
But who gives a fvk what you think, you are irrelevant in my world, now we are done here.
patches689:
Were we talking about companies in general... or were we talking about a very specific type of company?

Look, if you cant follow a discussion - if you have sub-par comprehension - then thats a you problem.
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 12:29am On Nov 12, 2018
Would i dare say? The fvk are these guys talking about? Weren't you guys thought simple English were you are from?
When did i ever claim SA soldiers or paratroopers were incompetent? Mistakes happen, accidents happen, regardless of how much training people have.
This is the last time i will respond to any more rubbish.
All i said was it was hilarious, i would have said the same if those were US or British soldiers. I was telling Henry not to start something, turns out i was the one being pilled on.
You guys would make good stalkers.
Enough already, moving on

patches689:
Look at these British and American soldiers... same thing happened to them?

Would you dare say that they are incompetent?

Again, we settled things, and you had to make an idiotic comment.
So i don't have common sense?

He said "Is there a Nigerian company worth even $100 million?"

Is this really so hard for you to read? Regardless of the conversation that led to him saying the above quote, it was what he said and he fixed that in another comment he made, referencing he meant "defense company" and i acknowledged that correction and moved on.
the heck is wrong with some of you guys with constant argument?
It's like that fool talking about Dangote buying some defense company in RSA, without relevance.
Dude, drop it and move the fvk on, why do people like dragging sh!t

jln115:
He would have never had to correct anything if people just had common sense since it was quite obvious he was talking about defence companies.......Especially if you read all the comments leading up to his reply
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 8:56pm On Nov 11, 2018
Good for you bro, he wrote it in simple english, corrected it and i said okay. See, no issues at all.
I applaud good news from any African country

jln115:
For the sake of this thread ill let it be wink
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 8:53pm On Nov 11, 2018
lol, you self.
I hate argument lol, people gotta learn to not dig things up after it's already settled. grin grin. He just butt into something he didn't get.
I never had issues with South Africans on here, if that country do good, i will be happy all the same, no jealousy here.

No he didn't. It can't be hard to read a simple text.
"Is there a Nigerian company worth even $100 million?"
That was his exact quote.
He corrected it after my response , he meant Defense company, but that was not his initial statement. And i said okay. See, it was done and over. Jeez
jln115:
He said DEFENCE company....
