Some people just like to jump and talk anyhow. I do listen to Tax matters every Saturday from 2.00pm or so on 97.3 Classic Fm, with Sholz on Saturday(SoS) and I remember the man(forgotten is name now) the day he said "they are in talks with the e-hailing companies already" , immediately one or 2 uber guys started asking questions. I beldive that's why Uber can quickly respond while Uche keeps telling me about bonuses and "let's move...." crap.

1-Vio can arrest Uber drivers if they dont have the necessary permit like hackney permit, they are empowered by the law because it is the duty of VIO to check commercial drivers like uber driver and others for Hackney/stage carriage permit
2-LASTMA can check if you have expired driving license and impound your car ( Driving without Valid Vehicle License LCG-13 2 5, 000 Impound Vehicle)
3-Police can also check your drivers license and arrest you if you dont have any, they can also arrest you for breaking traffic laws and over speeding.

I see you have been responding well to what the law says, but personally I feel your responses are vague/general or a bit abstract. My reasons are I expected you to cite the Lagos state laws or something , anyone can repeat this. it's not a debate we are all here to share information and knowledg not all this "whether we like ot or not attitude". Fact is, it has not gotten this bad, wots the need of triggering d panic alert, let uber/bolt do the right thing or prove it that they have done the right thing. I want to narrate the ordeal i went through yesterday in the hand of an Old Baga who faked a transfer of 3100 naira .
Here's the story : I took this Jigolo from 17 Balarabe Musa, Vi to Oworo on a 1.5X Bolt surge at 10am yesterday . When we got to his street, he pretended to be nice by asking me to end the trip because the road that leads to his place is not motorable. I did and he asked if he could do a bank transfer, usually i don't grant that request but because we had good conversations all through the journey and he looked like a well to do elderly man, i obliged.
Called out my account details and he read out my name ,after which i saw saw transaction successful on his phone screen . He thanked me and we bid ourselves bye bye.
Long story short , this unfortunate slowpoke faked the transfer and all my efforts to get my money has been abortive.
Please guys, help me launch an attack on his phone number 09057031333.

It varies from industry to industry, and what yiur policy is, for example one of the companies I once worked for pays half of your monthly gross as leave allowance. So check your policy. Though the widely accepted rate is 10%. Read sections 18/19 of the Nigerian Labour law.
