deedee44: I don't understand this man again o. Okay I picked him around 8pm and I allowed him to owe me because he told me right before I started the trip that he would have to transfer to me later in the night. Since I've closed for the day and was driving home empty I just did it anyway. Trip ended 1200, he said I should pls send my account details. Since then it's from one annoying like I'm eating now to another like I'm in traffic now (he is not the one driving o). Most times he won't pick my call, he will respond with text message. Please panel of judges, does he deserve the avengers wrath? . Just called the guy now he said "can the person do me a favour and call me right away " so Dee....over to you. |

Some people just like to jump and talk anyhow. I do listen to Tax matters every Saturday from 2.00pm or so on 97.3 Classic Fm, with Sholz on Saturday(SoS) and I remember the man(forgotten is name now) the day he said "they are in talks with the e-hailing companies already" , immediately one or 2 uber guys started asking questions. I beldive that's why Uber can quickly respond while Uche keeps telling me about bonuses and "let's move...." crap. |

sexylassie: 1-Vio can arrest Uber drivers if they dont have the necessary permit like hackney permit, they are empowered by the law because it is the duty of VIO to check commercial drivers like uber driver and others for Hackney/stage carriage permit 2-LASTMA can check if you have expired driving license and impound your car ( Driving without Valid Vehicle License LCG-13 2 5, 000 Impound Vehicle) 3-Police can also check your drivers license and arrest you if you dont have any, they can also arrest you for breaking traffic laws and over speeding.
know your laws. I see you have been responding well to what the law says, but personally I feel your responses are vague/general or a bit abstract. My reasons are I expected you to cite the Lagos state laws or something , anyone can repeat this. it's not a debate we are all here to share information and knowledg not all this "whether we like ot or not attitude". Going forward please cite or quote it. in the Lagos state laws either as amended or existing. Until then all what we are saying is a debate "My accurate time keepers, panel or judges etc |

pope191: Bros we have a mole here, shabi u see d sexy whatever that carry uber matter on her head like gala... Fact is, it has not gotten this bad, wots the need of triggering d panic alert, let uber/bolt do the right thing or prove it that they have done the right thing. Dialogue have always been the way out of every situation, we need to be mindful of things we say here or it got hijack and beyond what drivers can control. God bless you Pope. I've been doing more of reading comments here, I wonder why the panic attack and physical protest ? The people we need to speak with/to for now are the e-hailing company NOT the government except they are helpless then you can move to the government, let them keep speaking with the government rather than we entering the street with placards. I said it recently here that "the title that got to the people of Ede, will still reach Iwo" I believe in being proactive but let's face our partners for now. |

Monkeyprick: Evening house, trust our hustle paid off today ? I want to narrate the ordeal i went through yesterday in the hand of an Old Baga who faked a transfer of 3100 naira . Here's the story : I took this Jigolo from 17 Balarabe Musa, Vi to Oworo on a 1.5X Bolt surge at 10am yesterday . When we got to his street, he pretended to be nice by asking me to end the trip because the road that leads to his place is not motorable. I did and he asked if he could do a bank transfer, usually i don't grant that request but because we had good conversations all through the journey and he looked like a well to do elderly man, i obliged. Called out my account details and he read out my name ,after which i saw saw transaction successful on his phone screen . He thanked me and we bid ourselves bye bye. Long story short , this unfortunate slowpoke faked the transfer and all my efforts to get my money has been abortive. Please guys, help me launch an attack on his phone number 09057031333.

Anyone that has a car at this period in time is in for a good share of the market, I've been doing trips within Ikeja since morming, all I see are private cars running things. So those that are still waiting for bolt/Taxify activation can experiment with the roads, traffic and routes for now. |

Even though these Keke/Okada guys behave unruly outright ban is not the solution, especially on some roads we can't go. It doesn't translate to more money for us.
No point being excited about this I hope tomorrow the government will not say Uber/Taxify/Opay have added to traffic congestion in the City and therefore not inline with their Smart/Mega city plan. we just need to be on the lookout, as they say "the title that got to the people of Ede(Osun), will still reach the people of Iwo(still in Osun) too. |

[quote author=ajoks533 post=85852433]Please I have an urgent and emergency situation.
My sister said her boss wants to help her travel abroad (Kazakhstan), was hoping to meet them here in Abuja to check on her documents myself and also verify things, but she told me at the last minute on my way to airport that they were not able to get a flight to Abuja, so they will travel from Lagos.
Now I smell something fishy and wish to either stop her from travelling or get a tangible information of her flight itinerary and information of the person travelling with her.
Have placed calls to contacts I have at Lagos, no one is close to both local and international airport.
Please I cry out to you guys, how can you help me out. Who has any contact at International airport who can help me ascertain some vital information from her and her boss who is traveling with her. My head is going bonkers right now.
Please it's urgent as their flight to Kazakhstan is ur within 7 and 8, emirates. She doesn't even know all the information but is keen on going, even after I told her on phone not to go. [/quote
just seeing this, tell her to snap and send you a picture of her passport bio data page. You can also copy @naptip @abikedabiri too. By the way how old is she ? Kazakhstan hmm......It is well with your sister. ] |

It varies from industry to industry, and what yiur policy is, for example one of the companies I once worked for pays half of your monthly gross as leave allowance. So check your policy. Though the widely accepted rate is 10%. Read sections 18/19 of the Nigerian Labour law. |
