If the opportunity presents itself, you bring it up. Don't just say offline anyhow. You just have to be observant. I have negotiated offline for both very short and long trips, depending on how the situations builds itself grin

Example

Gets a request on a Sunday evening, around 3:30pm in Surulere. I accept
Rider: I'm going to Ojodu.
Me:Okay

Arrives at venue, and one madam enters. She was very jovial

Me: Ma, should I wait for you till after the party?
Rider: Oh, very good. I'm grateful. So how much will you charge?
Me: Ma, you know you're like a mother to me. Just bring #12k
Rider: OGAA. For what naa?
Me: Ma, it's not like that. It's just small money to you.... Blah blah blah

After all the talk talk, we agreed on 10

Went there around 4pm. Left around 5pm. She gave me 11k with many cans of Origin

*****************************

Gets a request at Landmark. Calls rider but the line is busy

Drives to Landmark, and madam cancelled. Calls her again and she picks, saying its a mistake

She comes out and sits in my car to request again. She's going to Surulere

Me: Ma, how much is the app saying?
Rider: #1700 to #1900
Me: Give me #1900 and let me take you there
Rider: (Laughs). Why not #1700? Let be at equilibrium. #1800 abeg
Me: Okay

I drive her to Surulere.
Taxify commission? NIL NIL NIL

So offline can be done in many ways. There is no defined path to it. Just look out for the opportunity

Also I negotiate offline for many reasons.
. I don tell you say you don turn technical adviser/consultant. you just siddon for fence they observe, nice one. I look forward to this soon. how your break abi n.a. retirement ?

In saner climes extreme caution would be taken to extract her from the mangled vehicle so as not to rupture vital organs. An ambulance would also be on ground to offer first aid, put her on a stretcher, and whisk her straight to the hospital.

Nonetheless, its a miracle she survived. Only God can help us in this country.
God bless you indeed. Obaseki will not see this and put in place a LASEMA just as we have in Lagos, rather he will be shouting the God father has edged him out.

Let the thread be boring ma, it's better it's boring than having over inflated prices here. God knows how many people have come to check out the thread and left because of the inflated prices. Some people might come with a property to give at a cheap price and see the same thing in worse condition being sold for more. Do you expect them to sell their's for less? We have seen some sellers asking other sellers to let them sell their properties for them, is that not greed?
And just so you know, we have been ignoring for a long time, but it's time we start speaking out. I have never insulted anyone here but I have been called Ignorant and others will still abuse me, but e no matter because sanity must be brought back to the thread.

If anyone want's to buy something and you don't find it here, ask how much you can get it and where you can get it cheap and I believe so many of us will be more than happy to refer you to someone or somewhere you can get it cheap. It's annoying to see people come here and post scraps for same price as new.
. You see from the Title of the thread it says "House Clearance...." , in other words more like a yard sale or something, seeing same advert everytime from some people here can be funny. it is a clearance thread NOT a sales one.

Thumbs up to sellers who are considerate with their prices. For those that want to turn the thread to business and think they are helping others, una dey on una own.
For all members, before you buy anything, just do a quick check for how much a new one or tokunbo (UK/US) costs before you even negotiate. You might be buying something as clearance for the price of a new one or a complete US/UK tokunbo. There's a clear difference between US used and Naija used items, their prices should never be the same.
For those selling clothes/shoes, this thread if for clearance and not to market your products higher than they're sold in Idumota.
It's safer to just save money and get a new item than to come and cheat yourself because you feel you are buying at a fair price when in reality you are only cheating yourself. So many greedy sellers out here, they will never tell you what's wrong with what they are selling.
A tip for us buyers, I have observed that only the clearance sales (those selling all or almost all their properties) are safe because the seller is relocating or needs cash. The things they sell are mostly in great condition. But for all these ones that are selling one thing after another, NA WASH. It's either it has a problem or they do not need it anymore, so they look to make profit on what's scrap to them. Some others even go as far as sourcing for properties from other people to come sell here and make profit, or even helping other people sell their stuffs.
I will personally start bursting peoples business here because this thread no be to do business. If you are not selling because you do not need it, please don't come and sell what's precious to you.
There are other sections for you to do your business and not to come and derail the thread. There used to be a time when there was no complain here, but trust us Nigerians, everything na opportunity for us.
If na fight, we go fight tire here. I ready for una wey no wan gree hear word.
For those posting without prices, biko put your price and pictures and put your last price, not everyone would want to bargain. Some of us want to see the price, pictures before we even make contact. I cannot see pics and not know the price. I no fit start chat for whatsapp and find out I'm just wasting our time. PLEASE ALWAYS POST PICTURES TOO AND STATE YOUR LAST PRICE. Enough of this "I know they'll bargain". Biko state your last price so we move on if we no fit afford am.

THE BATTLE JUST WAN START. I READY!!!
Yeah, you have said it all. This place use to be very sane,,until one particular person started flooding the thread with sales time and again, making it look like a "barander". I wish sanity can just return Asap.

I came out of Unilag heading towards Herbert Macaulay way, I remembered somerhibg, I just pulled over to send a mail, almost dome sending, n.a. so local government boys knocked on my glass, yarn dust. I showed them my State I.d, the idiot still said we should go that he just wants to enter my details, n.a. there I gawk am.. I thought this guys had good intentions o.

As we entered them tear me ticket 15k5, I asked for what, when I be staff ? the guy continued spewing crap, meanwhile the guy that followed me to the council had bolted. They kept insisting I pay etc that my car will soon be impounded, told him point blank I can't pay jack. Na so I vex make one or 2 calls, went to meet one of the Top men there, that one just vex give me escort, immediately them change mouth, collect their ticket back inflate my tyre, begin beg me . The one that wanted settlement couldn't even talk.

Thank God for every , but for REAL I go upgrade my "agbero software".

@Op, nice initiative you have got but I will like you to consider certain things be taken off, like name of pupil, picture and school. In an era of social media evils, some people with bad intention can take advantage of your noble give away.

Maybe just age of the child and how the recipient intends spending the give away. just my thought.

Nothing wey Musa no go see for gate. Picked 2 guys, a babe and 2 children , they were heading to Gbagada from Oniru beach . All of them young sha. The guy and the babe sat behind me, the other guy was beside me and the children behind as well. I just dey drive lost in thought, n.a. their kissing make me snap out of my thought, by the time we got to Adeola Odeku my car don begin shake, heavy smoochng and what have you. I was just upset. When we got to Unilag water front the guy now asked if I have water that he's thirsty, for my mind "water kee you there". The sad thing was that they were so oblivious of their environment, ignoring the children beside them.

I need holy water to cleanse my car.
