There's nothing on that jacket they wear that says "if you don't like my driving, call". On several occasion I have seen those guys drive rough and carelessly. Seemingly, their confidence comes from the fact that they wear helmets. The other day one almost had an accident with a rider behind. I just shook my head. Pitiful!!!
Very TRUE, nice observation. but n.a. so Chinko be.

@Ornicus, I must commend you so far in one way or the other, however with all your Corporate experience I do not expect you to keep dragging issues here with Eherbal at all. Imagine if your kids could see how you do this time and again (pardon me for the mention). I expect you to overlook this guy and bring something better to the table, I remember one guy talking about E.I (Emotional intelligence) here. That is what I want to see from you going forward, a handful of us have same corporate experience BUT rarely mention it.

Besides, if you do not know a person's experience, nothing is wrong by giving them a chance for a start, Las las it is either a Yes/no.

Please sheath your sword abeg. Tojahh wants to learn/work give him a shot.

@Eherbal, Otoge ! I know you are quite busy that is why when you are free you quote him thereby dragging us backwards. You have almost same "working experience" just like him however in a different industry,

Let's us be civil and bring positive vibes and experience here not all this "Royal Rumble" . E don do abeg. This is a faceless forum, if Seun had not opened or restricted people to any topic, why do all this ? I weak for una 2 sha.

Are you guys sure Opay is not bugging this bolt App? Did a trip from Ikoyi to 2 different places on the mainland, trip ended at 2k4. #cardtrip. When the lady asked if I could take her back , I told her to change it to cash, at the end it came to N900. I check app, it was even lesser #400, the lady was surprised and gave me 2k5. they can collect their percentage from my #900.

Brovthese is the odds that are stacked against us in the biz.. These biz is not a longtime game, it should be a means to and ends, a stepping stone to another..

Men i don't understand how life don't mean anything to some people, they kill at will, cut, break people head and above all Put there life at risk embarking on such fight. Crazy, how did they turn into these monsters, that little baby that there mother gave birth to, very cut and innocent now turning into these monsters..they don't have morals anymore.

Please Op simply defer your admission by a year, so you don't drop out or start all over.

Then take the car if it is a recent one, say from 2003 upwards register it on Uber/Taxify, after sometime you can go back to school .Please no matter what do not drop out , just defer.

reason am na
company is paying for your car [2019 range/lexus/land cruiser]
company is paying for your driver [fully trained in defensive driving]
company is paying for your vehicle fuel and maintenance
compay is paying for your pilot and police escort

there is no advantage an uber will give a CEO over his\her official car.
not comfort, not safety, not convenience
your uber will have to wait in traffic. CEO pilot will blow siren or drive one way. sometimes, staff will wait to follow ogas convoy so they can make it out of gridlock

you do not even know how responsible or careful or well trained the driver is. it is a roll of the dice.
[not one uber driver has EVER asked me to put on my seat belt]

what comfort can i get in 2003 corolla with fabric seats over 2019 suv with full entertainment system, leather seats, tinted windows?

it is the same hold up you will face going out of the office in your car or in the uber.
the only thing i can conclude is that oga at the top wants to do something off the books

one time our ceo was doing site inspections and no one could tell exactly where he was going [over 100 possible sites he could visit]
he was nitpicky so the plan adopted was always try to fix up as much as we could before he got there.people were running ragged trying to plan. but some people in the loop would simply spool out the info from the man's driver

a driver is a person who knows a lot of ogas secrets and plans and company info. driver will hear ceo talking about sacking people etc.

thats why i see runs as the most likely reason for an oga at the top with fully funded transport to be using uber. because he wants to be incognito and he doesnt want his enemies in the office setting him up or figuring out his habits.

also because entertainment of that nature may be against company policy if official vehicles are involved

we had one useless indian oga one time who was carrying runs girls in company premises. one day one stole some stuff. the guy started making noise and then management gave him the talking to of his life. really humiliated him. from that point on, any runs the guy did was out of town. na so the man begin organise out of state trips to scratch his itch.

all this talk about being down to earth is something simple people say.

as for people talking about otedola - you have no idea how paranoid naija ceos are.
100% True. Don't worry since your office is in my hood , we go reason am one of this days. cheers man. Your reasoning shows your exposure to work environment. Nice one.

I have decided not to bother. From a security and privacy perspective, only a very foolish high net worth individual would use uber. If you want to compare tobi of bbn with a ceo, that's fine.

You realise multinationals have security offices that issue safety warning bulletins? Do you know the amount of risk exposure I would get as a ceo riding uber? My phone number would automatically be available to people outside of a closed circle. That is a safety risk all on its own. You people think all ceos are created equal? You think ceo of gtb bank is the same as ceo of cakes and cream?

Some things are not worth arguing. It is however interesting to observe thought processes and rationalisations.

Theres a thread on fp where a babe started getting calls from a driver. I cannot begin to imagine the nonsense that would happen with a ceo, in this Nigeria, especially with Nigerians wey no get filter. Common sharing my phone no during close meeting, I started getting yahoo calls from the abroad
. To a great extent you are right and because of this public forum, I can't say much but I KNOW(Mark my words) top executives in IOC's that once a while use these platform. However, it comes at a great risk to such a person, and this is based on EXPERIENCE. The only safety net is if it's within the city at a short distance, but even at that there was an issue that came up. (let's leave it there)
