So concerning the Election I left my house before 6.00am to avoid the restriction, so far I've been to Opic estate, Ogba, Abule egba, Aromire off Adeniyi Jones, airport and now I'm at Surulere.

Ikorodu road is free and cars are moving, just avoid those mentioned areas within the Local government.

Lastly, as for those increasing rental fees this period , it's like saying Bolt should increase the 20% because they know there will always be surge, but wetin I sabi?

That traffic as been there as early as 7:30am. Saw it on my way to Oyingbo this morning, I thought it would have eased by now.

Thanks for this heads up. Will go back to the Island through Adekunle when I finish here.
Coming from Maryland inward Ojota, the service lane is closed for repairs. So stay on the express, keep to your right and turn after the Total petrol station.

If you are on the Island heading to Surulere avoid Carter bridge, rather go through Apogbon. Heavy traffic because of those heading to Apapa.

Hello guys, good morning. Please I need advice, I asked my brother to help me with a car to use as Uber business, the car will serve as a loan to be repaid within a stipulated time. My challenge is that instead of the regular 2004 - 2006 Toyota Corolla, he bought the 2010 for me. Please is this car too fragile for the Uber business, what are the pros and cons of using this car? Thank you all
Just as @dru23 has said use the right "oyel". I drive one myself and no be everywhere you suppose dey go, especially in this rainy season.

There are no good roads in any where in Lagos. The inner streets of the Island can wreck your car as well. Have you ever driven into Terra Annex at Ajah before? Terra Annex is worse than Mushin/Isolo road, Olokunla, most streets around Sango Tedo market, most street around Igbo Efon, New Road opposite Chevron, the Rivers at Agungi, Hakeem Dickson linking Fola Osibo, most parts of Badore and Lambasa, just to mention a few. The main roads nko? From Abraham Adesanya to Sangotedo and back is a mess, no roads there again. From Ajah to Ado roundabout is brutal during rush hours. These places are all on the Island, there's no way your car will not suffer if you enter any of these places.

I don't go to most parts of the mainland because they look too devilish and scary, touts, criminals everywhere. It's also difficult navigating through these places. Hellish traffic jams, extremely far from where I live.

It's a lot easier navigating and picking up riders on the Island than on the mainland. When it comes to bad roads, it's all over Lagos. You just can't escape it if you are in this business, no matter how much you try.
You see that Terra Annex, nothing will make me go there again, crossed 7 rivers and seas to go pick up this idiot, after delaying me for 15mins he wanted me to continue waiting and told me off . I just jejely swim out na God save me and my car .

Please is Uche still part of the National Working Committee (NWC) of Bolt(Taxify)? Too much card no make sense.

But electric pole and shade don't go together. Wonder why anyone will want to park under an electric pole because of shade...a tree would have been more appropriate. Anyways, thanks for the observation.
I reckon that my explanation wasn't clear, in some places the part where the tree grows is tagged "no parking", the branches of some spreads out and provides shade that will probably be over an electric pole on the other side, so therefore parking under such in the guise of enjoying shade I mean is dangerous.

Bought fuel mixed with water about 5 years back from that station.
What's the probability that this won't be happening anytime soon on the Island with them plenty water so?

Good morning guys, in this rainy season please be mindful of parking under any electric pole. I just got to my favourite spot and the poles are damaged, even when it's not raining don't park under any electric pole because of shade.

Last week I noticed that if you use Ikoyi toll gate, the system will debit you on the screen but if you check your balance on the app you’d find out that you have not been debited. That didn’t stop me from topping up my account.

I used the bridge yesterday and my account was showing -680. I say wetin happen Na I think say una they do giveaway angry, the guy in the booth said no but he’ll let me go but I should top up my account.

This morning I recharged 2k and they removed their money. I used there earlier and I met queue longer than usual at that time, I later discovered that I was not the only one affected, saw different cars with negative balance.

Who else noticed this?
Had same experience yesterday, but i was allowed to go I guess their system was having either a glitch or network issues.

So what later happened??

I don't use my mask when driving alone or with family members. No police or lastma stopped me to ask me all through the times it happened.

Some officers are just overzealous. They need money.

So how did you settle it?
I'll advise you once you are more than one in the car please use the mask, you never jam agbero Lastma them. Had an experience earlier in the week, these guys had their mask on but didn't cover their noses/mouth, just hanging on their ears and under the chin. Na so them stop me for Ojodu, snap us. I kept wondering what was wrong , to cut long story short n.a. some calls and "small love" resolve am.

please how do you draw a line between saving a life and keeping safe ?

I did couple of trips yesterday, on Ikorodu heading towards Maryland, I got a request from a rider who was at a notable lab to come pick her up, that meant I had to turn at Maryland to her location. She called and coughed before talking and that gave me a hint sort of, so I turned down the request also because I'm far from her.

If you unknowingly get to a location and the rider needs an emergency trip to the hospital, will you offer a ride or cancel it? This was my thought today as I left the house.

In seeing linkages and bushings.

Okay. Next question. What cars do you drive and how many years on average so you see yourselves using those cars?
. Apart from tyres, changed shocks once, yet to change brake pads and linkage.

Corolla '10. Got it Toks last year April, I don't mind changing it this year so it goes away with my e-hailing memories but max next year God helping.

If the Virus continues to spread let's say for a city like Lagos, I see health care workers abandoning their duty.

There's a thread on the homepage showing a specialist hospital in Edo state, with nobody to attend to patients. Even on a good day you know how long it takes to attend to a patient at the General hospitals, let alone now that Healthcare workers are also adding to the statistics of the dead .

By then the question will be "who wan die?" Don't forget we have a strong culture and family ties in this part of the World.

I'm getting a lot of private message requests for help. You are limiting yourself by asking only me. Please put your need and details here so that those that can will help. I'm sure I'm not the only one helping. After doing 100k yesterday I will not be responding to PMs on this topic going forward. I am watching and will help as I can as long as my employees (my priorities) are also okay.

Please hang in there. Your fellow men are more generous than you think. Give us a chance to show it without being put on the spot wink
God bless you and all the "coded tune/Alapomeji" givers.

This is my biggest fear , that drivers, business owners ,partners etc will not learn anything after this pandemic is over .. My fear is that it will be business as normal once this is over .....

Now to everyone reading this whether partner, drivers ,business men and women and even meself .. If you don't learn how to save and take whatever is bringing you food more seriously after this crisis. Than you have fail in life and there is nothing that can be done to help you succeed in life...

Before the crisis drivers didnt care, most complain that uber is beneath them, most complain the job is slavery. And most were dropping and damaging partners left and rite..
Most were owing partners and shouting up and down thinking it will be business as always.. And than crisis hit like a time bomb.. This same people are asking for help and hand outs etc.. And this is why I am very reluctant to help many on these forum... l will rather help the widow, homeless, kids, people that really need the help ..

So anybody reading this and you want to help.. Please make sure you are helping people that really need the help.. Don't help for the sake of helping , kids ,widow out there have not eaten for days .. Small children with no father or mother or nobody to look after them need the most help.. Mothers with new babies out there need help too .. Be very selective on whom you help .....
I'll encourage you to give/help those that are genuinely in need here , not those new monikers that have turned it to an Almajeri platform for begging . The scriptures admonishes us to give "especially to those of the household of faith" , this is what i believe the forum represents at this point in time, despite our quarrels, disagreement and banter. It's a family even if some of us don't know ourselves beyond coming online.

However, I don't make the money for you, therefore I'm not worthy to tell you how to spend it.
