TraDeRR: The news that would have propel the price was this power news but that while the government took to appoint ministers kidda killed the vibe.. I heard a minister’s signature was required but that office was empty.. “I heard oo” I just pray bubu will give us our money or say something about it and the power sector to gear up price again. LOL It will be signed afterall |

anjilgreat: I really survived my sister, though I still have some stocks I am yet to sell because I bought high then like First Bank @ #33, Access Bank @ #14.90, Transcorp @#7.50 and the intercontinental bank shares experience.
I had to leave the market for some period and came back stronger after I stumbled into this NSEMPA Thread. I have long recovered all the losses I made in the above named stocks. Can we ever see Transcorp at this prize again? |

NOTE: NOT to be infered as any sought of recommendation. My advise: Pls follow ur instinct.

onegentleguy: For those who read it, the article above(which I wrote a few weeks ago) was a fine piece on one way to align with an asset of VALUE after raking-off surrounding risk. It was indirectly advising a BUY on FLOURMILLS, which was used as a case study. The coy has gone up from its N13.50 price(at some point), gaining near 22% since then. The rest is now history.
We believe the stock is still UNDERPRICED @ the present price of N16.50.
It is well !! Please, what do you have to say about Transcorp and UACN? |

onegentleguy: What an analysis !! So u really think that Mr T, a man whose networth is in the billions of dollar region can only look to raise a 105.3B Afam power acquisition fund via the activities of market makers? ...how funny !! My dare the man can very well raise even far more than the said amount in seconds thru less than a minute call to any Nig/Intl bank he desires. ...including the UBA u mentioned via the issuance of an overdraft(facility)
Now hear this; With that acquisition, I can tell u without mincing words that the money is already in place. TRANSCORP did not cut down on its YoY dividend declaration by 100% for nothing. ...and the FG(who owes it a lump sum) did not award it the bid winner for nothing. Again the many recent romance btw Mr T and Mr President is also not for NOTHING !! A few of my previous posts had captured some of this remarks and more. U can read btw the lines and try to decipher the rest.
With the part of ur post in bold, what the mere eye sees might well be a 'mirage'. I'll suggest u look deeper. Sometimes, its takes more than 'the necked eyes' to see thru certain plays 'in the NSE room'. UBA is a strong BUY @ current price levels. But then again, u might wish to follow ur instinct.
Salah. My throughs too |

PETERiCHY: The way TONY and GANGS is watching your statement The script may have been written with the way this govt favours Elumelu and his comments about supporting Buhari to borrow from the Chinese to finance power, his comments about the money owed Transcorp, even the Q1 reduced result and the bid reviews to favour Transcorp etc. I simply pray that God helps us to gain as much as possible from this opportunity however the script plays out. |

Godlylifeoneart: Good morning members, Dz week will be dominated with transcorp gist. It's no longer a news that Transnational corporation power consortium won the bid for Afam power. AT competitive bid of NGN105. 3B With balance sheet Q1 at
Total Assets 297.0 Total Liabilities 192.0 Debt to Assets 37.54%
The implication of dz, Transcorp might turn to financial for loans, local or foreign loans at a higher interest rate or they might placed a private equity placement like access bank did. The commercial banks are not impressed with the power sector, A good % of the loans granted at the inception of power privitisation were declared toxic, non performing and impaired in some cases. GT bank requested for an equity in some power firms, dz was declined. The scenario 2,Transcorp might float a public offering... Would dz succeed? Judging from the successful
Public Offer of 8,000,000,000 ordinary shares of 50k each at N7.50 per share by Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc December 27, 2006 to January 31, 2007. Nigerians who participated in the offering are still biting their fingers and somehow the investing public lost interest in public offering. Should Transcorp seek a loan or bond? It means the company will work for banks for a long time, using profit to service loans. The best strategy is for transcorp to convince the investing public to key into this gold offer. My final take on transcorp.... A stock for JIJO, might not be ideal for long-term and dividend investors NGN100, 000 invested in 2006 excluding dividends is now about NGN 14,666 at the closed of business on 30/04/19.
What is your view? How are we sure they are paying the whole sum as they are owed about N90b by same govt? Are we sure a deal was not reached? |

Mpeace: Uba go pay. No need to stress the brain. Heirs Holding took a loan of $600m from Afrexim late last year in pursuit of the oil exploration investment ? Has the $600m from Afrexim been invested? I doubt as we are yet to get any news on the oil exploration investemnt. This is already part of the existing loans and may be used to finance this power acquisition. |

sky2891: Please, what could be the price projection of: UACN based on Q1 result and 0.64k dividend; Transcorp based on previous similar event of winning Ughelli power plant? Please, house more questions. Please, do we have any info on how long Transcorp were given to pay up the won bid to acquire the Afam power plant? Was the N90b initially owed Transcorp considered in this bid directly or indirectly? Relating the Q4 2018 and Q1 2019 result sharp difference, was the funds for the acquisition indirectly considered? Does Otedola's divestment into power has anything to do with Transcorp power? |

Mcy56: UACN performed well in Q1, EPS almost doubled. I was expecting full bid today. Guess it was affected by same worm plaquing all coys that released good results or there's more to the result. Sadly no more analysis of result here again. It will pick at the right time anyway....so I believe. I was expecting full bid too though the volume was unusual as expected. I even bought some units seeing the volume. Please, do you think I should hold? cc: OGG |
