sellydion: WAPCO not so exciting. Technically sick to attract funds, the stock is in a fallen knife state, who wants to hold it ? They have a history of controlling the shareholding structure in every company they have a stake in. Nigeria obviously will not be an exemption. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lafarge_(company) |

Ovamboland: What fundamental or sentiments is likely to change in Diamond bank to warrant price appreciation, or conversely what can likely go bad with Fidelity to drag down its value? If the approved sell of African subsidiaries pulls through on/before year end as said by Diamond bank mgt then it may likely be. |

veecovee: I read that they closed yesterday without extending the closure date, is this early closure not a sign of success? It's obvious that they are desperate (already succeeded) to push people off as much as possible to enable them raise their control. Still close watching. |

If the rights subscription turns out successful/unsuccessful, then one can start from there in judging LAFARGE. Ears on ground. |

emmanuelewumi: Since I started trading on the Nigerian stock exchange, Lafarge Africa right is the largest right and public offering, it has the shortest duration ie just 3 weeks and no last minute extension of the right offer and also the most secretive. Due to my observations, I made sure I took my rights immediately. The change in their auditors prior to Q3 may also be part of their plans as the previous auditor (for Q1 & Q2) may not have agreed to align with their motives for Q3. I will not be surprised if their Next result (Q4 or Q12018) is entirely different from this Q3. Anyway March/April will tell. |

RabbiDoracle: Should I move wapco for you guys
I have a feeling that the French guys has succeeded with their plans to significantly increase their control in LAFARGE. My reasons: 1. Sudden manipulation of their Q3 audit as unattractive (compared with previous Qs run rate) to make evryone see taking their rights as unwise. 2. Merging Ashaka shares with LAFARGE after the rights due date of 1st Nov. to keep Ashaka converted shareholders not to partake in the rights. 3. The sudden announcement of the rights start up. (on a weekend after business hours) 4. The short period of the rights which was never extended as predicted by many giving them room to accumulate all unattended rights. 5. LAFARGE parent company rights were converted with the debt owed by LAFARGE yet they continued to manipulate the stock on the floor to buy more of the stock/rights on the floor. etc. Still waiting for the outcome of this game. |

locodemy: My brother.I have good units of this stock.why not worry for such a huge transaction. what of if the buyer decide to have a controlling hand on the company and later reconstruct our shares for his own good.Reason with me.I can only feel relax if uncle T is still incharge. He must protect his company and shares. This brings to mind the past temporal change of management in Dangflour/Tigerbrands. Is Tony again trying to take the footsteps of Aliko? Just random thoughts.. |

sellydion: See where price is coming (at the very top) from compare to the horizontal line. When price touched the line buyers kicked in and drove the price up but they could not drive it up farther to or more than where price is coming from before they lost the momentum to the bears,
The bears drove it to the horizontal line quickly than expected. At the horizontal line a few bull tried to move the price but they could not succeed
at all . The bears are in control . They are more likely to move below the line having beating the bulls.Unless the bulls do something great at this point , expect a break. If the bears succeed, how further low do you think it may go? |
