@OP You did nothing wrong. I'd have done worse. This is what religion causes - it makes you throw away your common sense. Driving is an activity which requires 100% concentration, esp during rush hour. But I understand that most Nigerians would not see anything wrong in his action because we've been brainwashed beyond measure. If there had been an accident and you survived, you'd have understood better. ![]() |
@Siena, you can set up something like Eric here http://www.ericthecarguy.com/ |
safarigirl: So if he were a Somalian citizen, he would have organised his death and amputation rather than be deported abi? It's very easy to judge from the comfort of your sofa, isn't it? Try and put yourself in his shoes. Oh sorry, that's very hard to do. SMH |
Here's his Al-Jazeera documentary below. Really touching. You must be very brave not to drop a tear, esp when Barnaby Philips delivered d letter & pictures to Shuliman's family in Burma. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BREOezfAJSU |
Ola0711: bigfool wetin bring GEJ come dis matter? Ur father died while disrespecting his boss..here u are again insulting the president of ur poor mother{widow}..may u never live long to enjoy any good thing provided by GEJ..Eg good road,24hrs power supply etcYou're not very smart. Can't you see that he's only being sarcastic? What's your IQ? |
example? so whoever doesnt see the way you see now is cowardly, hypocritical and dishonest. Dude. you are funny.
It has nothing to do with whether people agree with me or not. The truth is clear for all to see. Cowardly - Rather than face the govt and their oppressors, everybody runs to the church to pray for some non-existent solutions to Nigeria's problems. Worse still, some people think that 419, robbery, kidnapping will do the magic. Hypocritical - Condemn the PDP as an evil party but still vote the same people fielded by this party based on sentiments, and then turn around saying that their lives have not improved. Dishonest - Most people wait for their turn to "go there and steal their own" but ironically still thinking that things will change overnight. |
Stvpid responses to important questions. He completely evaded the question on corruption and was looking down like a m0ron. Nigerians deserve Jonathan because most of them are cowardly, hypocritical & dishonest. Reading the comments on here attests to that. |
tpacalipse: I have never seen people as gullible as we Nigerian christians.GULLIBLE is a very kind word. When it comes to religion, most Nigerian Xtians switch off their brains completely. |
Now you see why Nigeria is in such a mess. It's clear that Jonathan went to that church for political patronage. The same @ssholes defending him here will vote for him again in 2015 and then start complaining of corruption. Bl00dy hypocrites! |
huge MISS |
Good job, Siena. I'm learning a lot from you, for free. I think you should be teaching in an auto academy. Or do you do that already? |
Can these b@stards start murdering one another already ![]() |
Hmnnnnnn is this true? I sense greed if yes. Wish i can bring the Prof to Nairaland to defend himself. |
How is this a cross? Crap! |
One of the dangers of religionism. |
Before the crash, Basketmouth used to be your in-flight comedian. So this is still an extension of that job, for which he was paid and he apparently still has an on-going contract anyway. Dana Air, where liars dey go? Una clean una mouth abeg. |
Nice one, Ikenna. |
The church is a house of God not a political gathering where you need to seek permission before attending. All protocols should be religion-based not personality-based !
I wonder o. If the church has nothing to hide, why should a journalist give an advance notice, as long as he's ready to subject himself to security scan? This is not PDP convention o. Na wa for we Nigerians. Our mumu don do for dis "men of God." |
These are not religious bodies; they're nothing but CULTS. I pity their sheepish followers. |
Very ridiculous story from so many angles. While other countries are doing serious research into cancer cure, global warming, automobile & airline safety etc, Nigerians are pre-occupied with religions that add no value to world prosperity. The journalist is obviously a learner, otherwise he would have sought Lagos State Govt's side of the story too. |
I hate posts lyk dis,cos no matter how rich u are u wont get my luv if ure ugly,i cnt even luk at d face n smile. Besides, nice house
BIG, FAT lie. I've heard this a thousand times. BTW, I expect something grander from Adenuga. Maybe when it's completed sha. For those wondering about the bull, Adenuga is a Taurus and that's the sign of Tauruses. |
DrugDoc: Good one, Mr. Governor. Hopefully one day all christians and muslims will come to their senses or voluntarily leave us and go to Rome, Jerusalem and Mecca. It's pure lunacy to worship and take pilgrimage to lands of people that see it fit to enslave you.I too gbadun your comment bro. |
I just dey gbadun dis guy everyday. He's a real revolutionary. Abeg we want Ifa on iOS, Linux, Android & Windows too. We don try for all these our imported religions jare. |
I couldn't agree with this man more. Here's the story below in an easier-to-read format. Music icon, Mr. Bongos Ikwue, has called for the banning of religion in the country and the whole of Africa if the continent must make any meaningful progress. Ikwue, who will turn 71 in June, believes that too much attachment to religion promotes laziness. An engineer, who combines music with property development, Ikwue said he felt that Nigerians often insult God when they ask for “daily bread” from Him. Speaking with our correspondent in Oturkpo, Benue State, on Sunday, the septuagenarian argued that God had already offered everyone Daily Bread by giving them the intellect to create ideas and work. He said, “I believe in God. But, I totally disbelieve in religion, I will like to play down religion. If I had my way, I would ban religion completely from Africa for the continent to make progress.” Ikwue suggested that the first pronouncement of any serious government should be to ban religion. He said, “If it rained, you didn’t go to the farm but went to church; at the end of church service you pray and say give us this day our Daily Bread. You are insulting God. “There is no year when harmattan does not change to rainy season. God requires no man to remind him and He has never failed to do his duty. But, after it rained and dried up, you didn’t go to farm, you are asking God for food. He will laugh at your stupidity. “There is no day that the sun will not rise and set. I believe in a God that has expressed Himself clearly; he has never failed. Every year, all the mangoes will fruit in their time throughout the entire country. “There has never come a time when it is time for them to fruit and they don’t fruit. But, look at you black man; you are unable to pluck these mangoes. You take a stone trying to pluck one and you pluck 16 unripe ones. “They will waste because you are not using your head. Give us this day our Daily Bread; He gave you Daily Bread and you wasted it.” The musician, who has just released 14 out of his new 45-track album, Wulu Wulu, said, “too much talking instead of working” would get Nigeria nowhere. He said, “Those who said God spoke to them had lied to you; you became gullible and fell victim. You deserve what you are getting because you are not using your head; they are going to take all your money. “Don’t go give a cheque of N300m to a church and expect that God is so happy and clapping because He has not seen money. So, money will take me to heaven or it is meant to stop on this earth? “Those who will not listen to people like me will pay the price; they will remain gullible and the price is remain in your poverty because you are not thinking or using your head.” He added, “The banning of religion will not take God out of existence but it will take distractive people out of our lives. Can you imagine how many times people go to places of worship in a week? They go to listen and contribute nothing. “They don’t even raise their hands to ask questions; it is a university you never graduate from for the rest of your life. The amount of waste in terms of human power is a lot, if you quantify it. “I need for the government to become bold and take religion out of itself completely. Why pay for people to go to Jerusalem and Mecca? The Jews who collect this money in their country invest it there, don’t they? “Roads and schools can only be built by money, not prayers. Why are you giving people this money for air tickets to go and pray in Mecca or Jerusalem when you can use it to build the roads?” Among Ikwue’s popular hits, which made waves in the 80s and early 90s, were Cock Crow at Dawn, Otachikpokpo, Amen, Sill Searching, and Mariama. He took a break from recording albums and went into property development, designing and contracting for over a decade. Ikwue bounced back last year with Wulu Wulu, the title track of a new album making waves again. |
This one na LEARNER's prophesy. |
Why aren't i surprised? There's no difference between religion & politics. It's all about POWER & MONEY. |
Who is the bigger m0ron, Jonathan, Ato or the squirrels ruuning around on here defending him? |
Of course the m0ron you call your president will always go off-point. |
pekelepekele: Always drive without your shoes on . Most people that hit people's bumper in the traffic are the ones driving with their shoes on. When you are driving without shoes it will give you full control of your pedals and you can easily feel how much you have step on the pedals.Ehen when did you your research? That's a lie o. It's people who drive too close or who don't concentrate that hit other people's bumpers. Shoes have got nothing to do with it, except you're a LEARNER. |
