RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PASTOR CHRIS FRIDAY 3RD JUNE THEME: HE DELIGHTS IN OUR PRAYERS THEME SCRIPTURE: And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full (John 16:23-24). Prayer is our way of bringing the power of the Spirit of God to bear on our world. That’s why He leads us always to pray and effect changes in our world. The prophets prayed; Jesus prayed; the apostles prayed, and they all taught us to pray. There are lots of results we’ll never see except we pray. It’s God’s way of relating with us; He asked us to do it. Isaiah 45:19 shows us what God thinks when it comes to prayer: “I publicly proclaim bold promises; I do not whisper obscurities in some dark corner so that no one can know what I mean. And I didn’t tell Israel to ask me for what I didn’t plan to give! No, for I, Jehovah, speak only truth and righteousness” (TLB). He’ll never ask us to pray for something He didn’t plan to give to us. He tells us to pray because He plans to answer. Some people don’t know this; so they get discouraged when they pray and it seems what they’re praying about hasn’t materialized. Some others pray “religiously,” not expecting to receive answers. If only they knew that the glory of God is in answering our prayers. He delights in answering our prayers. He loves to see us actualize our hopes and dreams, and then we praise Him for it. Have the audacity of faith to expect answers when you pray, because the Lord derives glory from answering your prayers. It brings to mind the words of Jesus in John 15:8: “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” His joy is for you to have a fruitful, productive and effective walk in righteousness. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the privilege and opportunity of prayer. The very thought that you delight in answering my prayers makes prayer more exciting for me. Thank you for giving me the extraordinary Name of Jesus to live by. With it, I live triumphantly and experience supernatural results every day. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: 1 Peter 3:12 (KJV) For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 1 John 5:14-15 (KJV) 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. John 16:23-24 (KJV) 23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN John 18:1-27 & 1 Chronicles 11-13 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN 1 Corinthians 15:20-28 & Proverbs 30 |

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PASTOR CHRIS THURSDAY 2ND JUNE THEME: THE DEITY OF CHRIST THEME SCRIPTURE: Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God (John 5:18). Until you discover who Jesus really is, you can’t walk with Him. Jesus is Adonai; He’s the Lord God! The very thought of this blows the mind. No wonder the Jews had difficulty accepting Him. They accused Him of making Himself equal with God because He said God was His Father. They knew that when someone says, “God is my Father,” it doesn’t mean God gave birth to that person, because God is a Spirit. They understood what Jesus was saying: He Himself was Jehovah in human manifestation! In John 10:30, He made another staggering declaration that made them angrier. He said, “I and my Father are one.” In other words, “We’re one and the same; if you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen the Father.” Now, the Jews got really crazy and they took up stones again to stone Him. But Jesus interrupted them and asked, “…Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?” They replied, “…For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God” (John 10:32-33). Notice the two charges brought against Jesus. The first one was blasphemy for saying God was His Father. The second was robbery, because being a man, He made Himself God. He was therefore condemned with robbers. But the Bible says in Philippians 2:5-6, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.” This verse was a direct response to the Jewish charge against Jesus that He was a thief for declaring Himself to be equal with God. Jesus didn’t think He was robbing God by being equal with God, because He was in the form of God. The Greek word for “form” is “morphe,” which means “nature.” In other words, He was in the very nature or essence of God. Though He looked like a man, He was in the form of God. In essence, Jesus is God! This is one of the cleverest communications in the New Testament about the deity of Jesus Christ. His claim to deity is right. PRAYER Lord Jesus, you’re the great God of glory and the complete embodiment of Deity! Thank you for revealing your divine personality to me. I celebrate your Lordship and rulership over my life and over all of creation. You’re the Most High God, and you alone are worthy of all praise, worship and adoration. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: Titus 2:13 (TPT) For we continue to wait for the fulfillment of our hope in the dawning splendor of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus, the Anointed One. 1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. Colossians 1:15-19 (KJV) 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; Colossians 2:9 (KJV) For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN John 17:1-26 & 1 Chronicles 9-10 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN 1 Corinthians 15:11-19 & Proverbs 29 |

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY 1ST JUNE 2022. Pastor Chris THEME: THE RAIN OF THE SPIRIT THEME SCRIPTURE; And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions (Joel 2:28). It’s quite significant how our opening verse likens the move of the Spirit in the last days to water: “...I will POUR out my Spirit upon all flesh….” Prophet Isaiah puts it this way: _*“Until the spirit be POURED upon us from on high…”(Isaiah 32:15). Hosea 6:3 says “… and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.” Also, in Zechariah 10:1, the Bible says, “Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” So, the Spirit was going to be “poured” from on high in the last days like rain. On the day of Pentecost, this rain poured out from Heaven on Peter and all the other apostles and they were filled with the Holy Ghost: “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:4). From then on, they spoke the Word of God with boldness. One day, while Peter was preaching in the house of Cornelius, a Roman Centurion, the Bible says the Holy Ghost “fell” on all of them that heard the Word (Acts 10:44). He fell on them like rain. Then in John 7:38, we read the beautiful words of the Master; He said, “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” If you’ve received the Holy Spirit, this refers to you. Just like Peter, you can go out in the power of the Spirit to share the Gospel with others and the Holy Spirit will fall on them like He did in Bible days. Chains will be broken and sicknesses will disappear; curses will be lifted and many will receive salvation. Glory to God! We’re clouds full of water and out of our bellies flow rivers of living water! Through us, righteousness and salvation spring up in the earth, just as the Bible says: “You heavens above, rain down righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness grow with it; I, the LORD, have created it”*_ (Isaiah 45:8 NIV). PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life, pouring out rivers of living water from my innermost being. I’m a living fountain, and I give life to others, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: Hosea 10:12* Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for [it is] time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. Isaiah 45:8 NASB “Drip down, heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness sprout with it. I, the Lord, have created it. Joel 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first [month]. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PASTOR CHRIS TUESDAY 31TH MAY THEME: BE VISIONARY WITH THE GOSPEL THEME SCRIPTURE: In such ways I have trailblazed a preaching of the Message of Jesus all the way from Jerusalem far into northwestern Greece. This has all been pioneer work, bringing the Message only into those places where Jesus was not yet known and worshiped. (Romans 15:19-20 MSG) Paul was a trailblazer, a visionary apostle. What we read in our opening verse reveals his mindset and passion to preach and share the Gospel in places where Christ hadn’t been known. He was in the vanguard of taking the glorious Gospel to new, unconverted souls. Wherever Paul went, he began to research if Christ’s name had already been known in such a place. And when he found that the Gospel had been established in that city, he simply moved into new cities and regions where the message wasn’t known, and pioneered the work. This was the kind of ministry that Paul had: ever-increasing vision! It wasn’t that Paul was ignoring other places and looking only for places where Christ hadn’t been preached; no! Read the statement he made before what we read in our opening scripture; he said, “… from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ” (Romans 15:19). Think about that! Emulate Paul’s kind of vision, where you take the map of your city and research to know where the light of the Gospel is still dim or non-existent, with the goal of moving in with the Gospel. If there’re places you can’t go physically, you send in Bibles and Rhapsody of Realities. “…This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14). Those are the words of Jesus; they must be personal to you. Be passionate about spreading the message of the Gospel, not just in your catchment but also to the regions beyond. Pioneer new cells, fellowships and churches in places where you’re aware they don’t exist. The Lord’s mandate is still in force. He said, “… Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). Utilize every opportunity to preach the Gospel. The harvest is ready. Hallelujah! CONFESSION Dear Father, I thank you for committing to my trust the ministry of the Gospel. Through me, the light of the Gospel shines brightly in cities, regions and nations, resulting in salvation and impartation of eternal life to many who have never known you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PASTOR CHRIS MONDAY 30TH MAY THEME: GRACE HEAPED UPON GRACE THEME SCRIPTURE: But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever Amen (2Peter 3:18) Did you know that you could walk in everincreasing grace? This is what God wants for your life: grace heaped upon grace such that no matter the challenges you face, the grace to put you over is available. John 1:16 says, “And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.” The Amplified version says, “For out of His fullness [the superabundance of His grace and truth] we have all received grace upon grace [spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favor upon favor, and gift heaped upon gift].” The Greek margin actually says, “Grace heaped upon grace.” This encompasses spiritual blessings, favours, gifts, etc. Every day, be conscious that you have grace for whatever you need and for anything you have to do. The grace of God on your life is the inner working of the glory and power of God that radiates excellence. That grace causes you to have uncommon results. Your contemporaries might be as gifted as you or even have more abilities than yourself, but God’s grace at work in you will take you to a higher plane and cause you to have results that completely outclass theirs. Hallelujah. Promotion in your life means more grace. If you’re promoted with more responsibilities without the accompanying grace, you may not succeed at that new level. We understand how this works from a simple verse in the Bible: James 4:6; it says, “But he giveth more grace….” Notice it doesn’t say, “He gave more grace”; rather, it says, “He GIVES more grace.” That means you can enter into that verse every day, every week, every year; it’s a word that’s active and can be activated anytime. That’s how the prophetic word of God works; claim this for your life today. PRAYER Dear Father, I receive more grace and increase in the workings of your power in my life. The knowledge of your Word causes me to walk in an overflow of grace, and that grace produces favour, beauty, goodwill, loveliness, perfections, glory and ability in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PASTOR CHRIS SUNDAY 29TH MAY THEME: THE CHURCH IS GOD’S SECURITY SYSTEM THEME SCRIPTURE: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils (1 Timothy 4:1). In some parts of the world today, there’s a satanic plan to go after the children. Some are peddling the idea that children don’t have to listen to their parents, because they (the children) belong to the state. But beyond the children, the strategy is actually an outward expression of a spiritual attack that’s also taking place. There’s a satanic move to give people an impression that churches aren’t important. So, they say, “You don’t have to be a member of a church; just serve God generally and you’ll be fine.” They spread the idea that you can just be raised through the internet, listening to different preachers online. What they’re trying to do is an attempt to pull those Christians out of the security system that God created for families, thereby exposing them to satanic attacks. Therefore, be smart. The Bible says an heir, as long as he’s a child, he’s placed under tutors and governors until a time set by the Father (Galatians 4:1- 2). Also, he tells us to not forsake the assembly of the local church as some do in bad behaviour (Hebrews 10:25). When someone says, “I go to many churches, I don’t have any particular one,” it’s proof that he or she has been deceived by the modus operandi of Satan. The structures that God has set in His Word are important; they have to be used for the purposes for which the Lord set them. You not only grow in the church, you also learn and participate in ministry to others. In the church, the pastoral ministry nurtures the brethren, trains them in the prayer life, faith, and to live the Christian life victoriously daily as we await the imminent return of Christ. So, when you win souls, salvation is only the beginning; guide them to church. It’s for their security, spiritual growth, edification and ministry. PRAYER Dear Lord, thank you for the opportunity to be a member of the body of Christ and participate actively in a local assembly. I pray for new converts around the world alongside those who may have been misled; that they’d understand the Church as your security system for them, a place of refuge, comfort, and refreshing. And as they come in, they’ll grow spiritually and be effective in the work and ministry of reconciliation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Hebrews 10:25 (KJV) “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Luke 4:16 (KJV) “And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up; and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.” 1 Timothy 3:15 (KJV) “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN John 14:15-31 & 1 Chronicles 1-2 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN 1 Corinthians 14:10-19 & Proverbs 25 |

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PASTOR CHRIS SATURDAY 28TH MAY THEME: MUSIC IS BEYOND LYRICS THEME SCRIPTURE: And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD: And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them” (Exodus 6:2-3). There are some things that have crept into the house of God for many years, ruining people’s lives and many never knew. For example, some of the different styles of music and dance in some churches today, where did they come from? What spirits are behind such music and dance? The spirit behind certain music or dance is the significance of it. If, for instance, a Christian likes to sing or dance to Reggae music, as much as we may appreciate Reggae music, the question would be, “What is the source of Reggae music?” Music is not just the lyrics; make no mistakes about it. The sound of music is important just as the source is important. Certain music could attract demons into people’s lives without them knowing. There are things that God allows us to do for a certain time of our lives, and after a while He will demand a change, knowing that it was within His permissive will. When He brings in that change, we must be willing to embrace it. We read in our theme scripture what He said to Moses. He said to him, “Abraham, Isaac and Jacob knew me as El Shaddai; they did not know me as Jehovah; but I am Jehovah.” Why was this important? By the revelation of El Shaddai, Moses would not be able to bring the children of Israel out of Egypt. Moses would need the “Jehovah” revelation, and by the hand of Jehovah, he would deliver the children of Israel out of Egypt. That is the purpose of the revelation that was given to Moses. Likewise, as we prepare for the coming of the Lord, there are certain things we must change based on the guidance of the Spirit and revelation from His Word. There is a way He wants us to live, serve and worship Him, especially through music. We must be open and willing to receive His guidance and correction. Praise God! PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for unveiling to me these treasures of wisdom and training, and for educating my spirit on spiritual realities, to walk in righteousness in my worship of you. My sacrifice of praise and worship come to you as sweet-smelling savour, because they are offered from a heart washed from all worldliness and impurities, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY 27TH MAY 2022. Pastor Chris THEME: THE WALK OF A CHRISTIAN THEME SCRIPTURE: I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called (Ephesians 4:1). One of the dynamics of Christianity is derived from a very important word from the verse above: WALK! There’s the walk of a Christian. When you’re born again, the first thing God wants to help you learn is how to walk in Christ in your daily life. Colossians 2:6 says, “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him” (Colossians 2:6). How you live every day, how you relate with other people, how you relate with God—and the kind of mind you have—these are very important to God. There’s a way a Christian should and must live that distinguishes him or her from a non–Christian. Someone may be born again and not live the Christian life. In fact, some don’t even know what a Christian life really is. But the Bible says, “This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind”(Ephesians 4:17). This is one of the reasons churches and pastors are important, because the spiritual life requires training. God brings His children into congregations, church assemblies, and gives them pastors after His heart to train them, teach them, and build them through the Word (Read Ephesians 4:11-14). God expects that in the Church, every new person that receives Christ, that becomes a member of the church, is trained in the Christian walk. Then, He tells us why: “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive” (Ephesians 4:14). In the 15th verse, He tells us the end-result—growth: “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.” The Christian walk isn’t just for baby Christians. You begin learning it as a new convert, but God expects you to grow unto maturity and become firmly rooted in the faith, and live triumphantly every day to the praise and glory of His Name. CONFESSION Through the Gospel, I’ve been separated from the world unto God, from unrighteousness unto righteousness, and from darkness to light. I open my heart and mind to be trained and educated in the things of God. And through the Word, and by the Spirit, I’m growing unto maturity, firmly rooted in the faith to live triumphantly always. Amen.
