cheromel: So after much worshipping i decided to get some sleep and then come back to share my testimony.
Started this journey last year after a cousin told us about EE and how hubby and i were qualified to apply since we are still in our early thirties. I already had a UK masters degree and hubby was about to round up his own. We started saving up for POF, wrote IELTS once in February and both came out in flying colours. Once hubby rounded up his masters we had our evaluation done with WES. We decided that hubby be the PA because the company he works for has a strong online presence. Document gathering wasn't difficult and we got all letters in CIC format So here is our timeline. CRS: 461 ITA: May 23rd AOR: May 28th MEP/IP1: June 8th RPRF request: June 26th Paid and uploaded RPRF: June 29th IP2: July 6th PPR: July 6th(saw the mail at 3:40am today)
A few things to note: Hubby and I have an extensive travel history so we filled a travel history form upfront. I have also had 2 visa denials so i filled a schedule A upfront. Hubby has no visa denials.
LOE's: One to explain the Visa denials for me and the second one to explain that hubbys masters degree was obtained via correspondence( Distance program)
All my documents including my passport are in my maiden name.
POF: Hubbys savings account. We also attached his payslips for 6 months and his salary account showing the movement of funds from his salary account to his savings account.
Filling of personal history: Hubby and i didnt include our Bsc degree in it because it was over ten years ago and we didnt evaluate it so didnt see the need. The only place i mentioned it was in schedule A.
We just made sure we were honest in our application, filled it, said a prayer telling God exactly how we wanted our application to go and he did it. I return all glory to him. Even though I'm a silent reader, i benefitted alot from the thread and the contributions here are invaluable. Special thanks to all our contributors Glitteringstar, Newmum et al. God bless u all immensely. For all the PPR hopefuls, your testimony is sure. Congratulations |

Fizzywah: So following the good news on here. I have been in stealth mode but must speak up because *in lasisi's voice* something just happened right now.
PPR has landed. Total process from AOR to PPR - 37 days.
Breakdown is as follows:
ITA - 11th April, 2018 (459 points)
AOR - 30th May, 2018 (Same day almost as soon as e-APR submitted)
ADR - 9th June 2018. Requested Travel History for me and madam (Plenty Waka Waka). This got me scared as I thought the Middle Eastern countries visited would pose problems.
MEP - 10th June, 2018.
IP1 - 15th June, 2018.
IP2 - 6th July, 2018.
PPR - Hours Later. 12:08AM Already slept off. Woke up this morning to the wonderful email. So ecstatic right now.
To be honest, I never dreamed the ITA will ever come after shunning Canada when I almost got it in 2011 before express entry (I believed in Nigeria, had a sudden change of heart and didn't submit my application. Village pipo). Then 67 points was all that was needed. IELTS was N30,000. Fastfoward being 6 years older with points begging to be rescued. I am grateful to God. I read here your valuable contributions, ideas and suggestions on how to go about certain things. Una well done. Keep being superb.
I am writing this to encourage those still waiting to be strong and patient in waiting. It'll happen sooner than you expect. My lips are still filled with praises. Make una help me thank God. Congratulations |

cheromel: Guys its 3:40 am now. Hubby said he felt somehow and needed to check his email. I told him to sleep. Well, he checked and showed me a PPR mail. 39 days post AOR on the dot. We asked God for 45 days max for processing before we sent our application and he did it in less than that. I couldn't help myself i started laughing and crying at the same time. Surely, there is a God somewhere. Will tell my soon. Let me continue with my worship because i can't sleep again. Wow. Congratulations |

Just a brief highlight:
POF - Gift Deed (50%), 3 months statement of Dorm account and 6months statement of Naira Account (50%). I got a reference letter from Fcmb but not in the IRCC format as the lady said no before I could ask...lol.
ECA - I made a mistake earlier but by God's grace, it was corrected before my file assessment began. I started my document evaluation with IQAS on 31st July 2017, sent my Bsc only and got acknowledgment on the 5th of September and after that i came across a post tslking sbout 2 or certificates. So i contacted IQAS and after several pleas, they agreed that i send another certificate while my file will be put on hold until they receive the new documents. After several challenges encountered in the school, my documents got to IQAS on september 26th. Received new acknowledgement October 25th and ECA arrived exactly 25mins after i made my ielts.
*Conclusion: Two or more certificates* .
IELTS - Listening humbled me big time but in all I give thanks to God and my sweet boo who after every attempt was so encouraging and prayerful. My attempts below;

Amen. Congratulations |

Dappydappa: So, I shared this long epistle on the 6th of April, 2018.
Hey mate, it's ok to cry but make sure you get up, dust ur ass and do the exam again. However, I suggest you do not attempt a re-evaluation. They will just take ur money and give same results. Lemme share my IELTS journey with you.
1st attempt.....5.5, 5.5, 7.0, 7.0 2nd attempt....6.0, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5 3rd attempt.....6.0, 5.5, 7.5, 7.0 4th attempt.....7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.0 5th attempt.....6.0, 6.5, 7.0, 7.5 6th attempt.....8.5, 6.5, 7.0, 7.5 7th attempt.....9, 7.0, 6.5, 8.0 8th attempt.....9, 8.5, 7.0, 7.0.
Note that where I live, the BC IELTS test is about 110k, re-evaluation is 63k and I spend a minimum of 150k for each of these attempts. IELTS humbled me but I eventually conquered.
For the listening practice, I wish I had stumbled into IELTS-mentor.com prior to my 6th attempt. You should definitely use this website and, attempt finishing the listening practice tests. There are about 14 of them. The answer section will show/tell you all that you had done wrongly in the previous exams. At the point where it says "you have sometime to look at your answers" during the listening test, kindly move on to next session if you have nothing to look at. That's actually the trick to have a headstart. (Pls, don't apply for another exam unless you start to score 37 and above in the listening practice).
Also follow Jay on E2 language (YouTube) or his blog if you have money and don't mind paying for his teaching classes (I didn't). He is quite resourceful in reading, writing and speaking. Always write your answers (listening) in block (capital) letters.
Finally, do not stay down. It's okay to fail, weep, cry and feel devastated but, make sure you don't stay down. Get up, dust ur ass and always remember that it's only IELTS that is stopping you from getting your MAPPLE card.
***Shout outs to Gliterringstar and Amoese. I don't know how to thank you guys.
Then, I got ITA on the 11th of April, 2018... CRS was 449 eAPR on 3rd May ADR on 4th July PPR on 6th July.

Oreo123: Silent reader alert.
In response to @Tojued..
Woke up to PPR on Friday morning.
See timeline below:
ITA - JAN 24 AOR - MAR 2 MEP/IP1 - MAR 9 SILENCE!!!! IP2 - I don't know or when this came as I stopped checking after a while in order not to hurt myself before the big news came. PPR 1 - JUN 29 PPR 2 - JUL 4.
Bizarre isn't? I was amazed as well when I woke up to another PPR today. We badly wanted the PPR to come earlier so we could have our baby in Cannyland but in God's supreme knowledge, He's decided now is the time.
We have written to IRCC to have our deadline postponed though, in order to give time to birth and include our baby before leaving as wifey is too advanced right now. We await their feedback.
@Newmum and others waiting, it will come soon by God's grace.
To my fellow PPR choppers, congrats.
All the best to all of us in this endeavor. Congratulation |

ArabianRose: Its Testimony time!
So i remarked my BC results, circled W and S, results came in around first week in June, too 10 weeks exactly, S got increased but not W, i felt so bad but at least i got my 15k back. I became confused and felt i was running in circles, i didn't want to write again, the emotional and psychological effect was hitting me big time, spoke to Newmum(you already know how i feel about you), she asked me to write again, she was even willing to proof read my writing (sweet soul), no one was optimistic about remarking IDP, given their track record, even though i maxed out the other modules (talk about CLB10 ). However, I made up my mind i wasn't going to write this exam again, and this was my response to everyone that asked. Secretly, i applied for MOD IDP remark! I couldn't tell a soul (not even @Stillz that was checking on me everyday), was just hoping on God, i really felt i deserved more than i got in W. I followed up with IDP Australia, the remark was done in 2 weeks and on 2/7/18 i got my result, and guess what? UPGRADE!!!!!! W went from 6.5 to 7, new score is 8.5, 8, 7, 8.5 for LRWS respectively, isn't God good?? after 3 tests and 2 remarks!
Help me thank God, its as if i just crossed the red sea! Congrats. I tap from your testimony ijn |

I'm the accompanying spouse and our application was pretty straightforward, so we didn't have too many LOEs.
80% of our POF was in Tbills in my name while the rest was in my husband's.
While I didn't need to ask questions, this forum has proved super helpful and I'm grateful for everyone who has taken their time and energy to give of themselves for free.
I wish everyone favour in this journey! Congrats |

nuelful: Is there anyone here that wrote his/her IELTS test on 12th May 2018 with MOD in Nigeria, please what is the test result release date written on your TRF. I need it because I want to complete my express entry profile so I might get ITA on Wednesday. I am yet to receive my own TRF. Also If you took your test on any other date with IDP and you have received your trf and you didn't take the test in the Asia pacific region, could you also share the date of test result written on your trf . From that I would be able to correctly predict the date of test result that would be on my trf. Thank you Why are you flooding this thread with messages. You dropped messages on ielts whatsapp group and your questions were attended to. It will be better for you to be patient and wait for your TRF rather than use some else's TRF number to formulate yours. |

Banks use your funds to purchase treasury bills because they provide higher returns. As at today, 6 months treasury bills will give you a 12% return on investment. Fixed deposit (depending on the bank) is playing between 5-8%. What of three months |

First with BC LRWS 8.5, 9, 6.5, 7.5. I applied for the EOR and decided to sit for another one... 7 weeks and counting still no result... Thankfully, I won't be needing it.
2nd time with MOD IDP LRWS 8, 9, 8, 8...
Glory be to God.
Lastly, I just want to encourage everyone still trying to cross the Ielts hurdle, it is gonna happen. Keep your chin up and keep trying. It'll all end in praise. Please give tips on writing. Was it liz essay structure you used? |
