Justwise and few others already suggested the GCMS notes.

Just say you want to learn more about it later to help your case. Which one is get CAIP & let’s see it together huh
penitential:
This particular case is really of interest to me. I’ve read so many comments on this thread regarding this case but none has mentioned and advised her to request for her CAIP/GCMS file.

I think the first reason of denial is more than just what was wrote. It’s way complicated than that and only CAIP file can explain what was meant by that.

Please get your CAIP file and let’s see it together. You will def get your TRV sooner.

$4000CAD to appeal visa? Might as well head to an European country where that $4000CAD can pay your full tuition or add it to what you have & start business.

Anyway, it’s like you were joking so let me just pass by.
Frankrobbn1:
Don't just reapply blindly, get an experienced immigration lawyer to fight your case. Your case has a good prospect to be won by a lawyer. The process would cost you $4,000CAD. If you can afford it, go for it.

It will end in praise.

I know, I was advising him not to.
He is not ready to pay tuition yet but was asking me how he can change money to keep till when he’s ready.

Told him exchange rate is high and he shouldn’t.
hosey:
Dont pay with black market. Dont change your money.

Pay anything related to school with Form A.

Go to head office of first bank or GT bank or any bank you use. It must be the head office in Lagos or Abuja.

You will be given CBN rate of about 450 to 475.

Current black market is 530.

So beware and dont lose your money indirectly.

TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Skymoore1004:
You will have to buy black market & put inside dom account.

But I will not even advise anyone to buy money now.... see exchange rate.

@Mamacajah many thanks.

The information provided are very helpful.

This has given me an insight to what I needed to buttress the information I had from Google.

I appreciate your effort Ma.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Skymoore1004: 3:23pm On May 10, 2020
We are saying same thing.
She only went to RGU and not Salford.
She can only provide info about RGU from her first hand experience. Also you don’t know if she did project management? How is she supposed to analyse that information for you?
Plus I am sure that a lot has changed since 2011 when she studied there.

Again, google is your best guide.
TuniLove:
Mr.Skymoor1004.

I have done all you mentioned above even more and have relevant informations.

However, can you compare all these information I have gathered about RGU or Salford from google, to someone that once attended RGU, in person?

I was only asking her because she has been there, live and direct not by
google.

All the same thanks for your reply. They're noted.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Skymoore1004:
I understand.

Here’s (picture) the reason why I’m saying maybe they actually intended to offer that course for two years but CONVID19 don change plans and they’re yet to update the website because of lockdown etc.

The second year was supposed to be for placement right? Maybe no space to contain placement students & they’re trying to plan ahead to avoid congestion.

Still call the university sha and give us update wink

P:S- saw this on Facebook, no claims to it.
sonofakin:
Thanks. I thought about calling. Just felt the person I'll be connected to might not even have the right information.
Maybe I'll still call them. Consistency when it comes to issues like that should just be sacrosanct. Information is needed for adequate planning and when it is wrong,
it can ruin plans. Teesside have a lot of two-year programs that international students are eligible for.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Skymoore1004: 2:36pm On May 10, 2020
How is she supposed to the know the bolded exactly? She didn’t study in Salford or perhaps project management.

Like someone said earlier, compare modules and know which one suits you better. Check their graduate employment rate. Read reviews on mastersportals.com. Check ranking for project management in both universities. Just research, no one can give you the accurate answer here.
TuniLove:
Thank you Ma for the above.

What can you say about doing MSc Project Management @RGU OR SALFORD. Which of these schools (cities) has a good prospect for the course?
Thanks a lot Ma.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Skymoore1004: 2:32pm On May 10, 2020
I get your point but what should we expect?

I mean come to think of it, application is free. Free stuff not always the best quality.

Imagine thousands of applications they receive every week from different parts of the world.
I know a neighbor that just likes applying to universities for the fun of it and to deceive people to raise funds for him. That’s an abuse to the system and he is creating unnecessary queue for genuine students.

You cannot compare to European or Canadian universities that charge up to €200/$150 CAD for one application. Before you apply sef, you go reason am well. Now these schools that charge application fees are likely to offer better/faster administrative support because you paid for it, than when the service is free.

If you don’t get email on time, it’s best to just call and speak to a representative immediately. They’re attending to plenty emails at day, so one has to be patient as well. That’s why you start your application months ahead so you’re not in panic mood when resumption is fast approaching.

Maybe the course is not available for two years anymore because of CONVID19. It says 2 years on the website truly, so there has to be a reason of why they’re only offering for it one now.

sonofakin:
I totally understand how you feel. A lot of these UK schools are not consistent information-wise. I guess its because they dont employ more administrative staff. There are times I would have loved to talk to a program I'm trying to talk to directly but find out it is impossible. You can only communicate with the admissions committee or maybe international students office. It is contrary to my experience when applying to US or Canadian schools. For example, I applied to Teesside University and got the admission. Before applying, I read on the website that it is a 2-year program and tuition is £7,500 per year. I decided to apply because of that and also knew I could get their £2k scholarship. On getting the admission letter, so much generic and ambiguous information. It was stated that fees is £13k per year. I decided to send and email, and after weeks of not getting a reply, I finally got one that my program(MSc Sport Physiotherapy Studies)
is a one-year program and tuition is 13k. Replied the mail immediately to inform them that it is contrary to what is on my admission letter and till now no reply again. I guess they receive a lot of emails but their inconsistency is just a turn off. P.S. Up till now, it is still stated o their website that the program runs for two years

Good day fam, please can anyone suggest universities in UK but not London that accept 3rd class for Postgraduate management courses; Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Strategic Procurement Management,Human resources management etc.
Thanks,God bless you
So basically, you can be accepted to some level 2 universities like

-BCU
-Salford
-Bradford
-Leeds Beckett
-Bournemouth
-Oxford Brookes
-Teesside
-Sunderland and many more.

You just have to support your application with excellent personal statement and previous work experience- make your CV very strong & appealing. Application is free, so you don’t have much to lose.

All the best
justwise:
You have to make an application first, in your application attach a letter explaining your work experience relating to the course you are applying for. Work experience helps when grade did not meet the standard, give it a try as you got nothing to lose.

Here’s one suggestion
hosey:
Apply to Birmingham City University. Emphasize on your work experience in project management in your Personal statement that you are very much capable to study project management. Include your project management experience in your the work experience section. Your workplace should also write a strong reccomendation letter too. You will definitely get admitted if you follow this guideline.

https://www.bcu.ac.uk/courses/project-management-msc-2020-21

School fees is 12800. Because of your grade, you cant get any scholarship discount which are given to first class and 21.. So you will huzzle for the remaining 2800 pounds.

I think it depends on the faculty for your programme. Eg: Northumbria sends offers quickly for project management but slow for other programmes. I’m just saying based on experience & what I have noticed.

There’s still time though, just be getting your other documents ready

Bro I don’t think she said that in the view of withholding information. Think she’s also waiting to hear back from Chester & experienced some kind of delay from the university. The person in quote is also an applicant, so she doesn’t have any firsthand info about studying there.

Capitalbase:
Good morning my People. I have been following since day 1 and I wanted to be certain of things before I ask. I have been admitted to study "Biomedical Science" in "Chester University" and "Sheffield Hallam University". I am really tempted to go for Chester as they also offer top up courses to enable me write IBMS and get licensed. Now my questions.

1) Is That University a good one? No offence bro, but did you not check this before applying? You said you’re tempted to go for the uni, so there must be a drive behind it. Nairalanders cannot evaluate a university for you. Our papa no build school for there. We’ve said multiple times that as long as you’re not going to level one universities like Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, then it doesn’t matter. Chester and the rest are all under the same category, so it’s left for you to standout with excellent result.

2) How is Chester in terms of student Job and life generally? This is usually on the university’s website under “student life”. There’s job everywhere in the U.K., doesn’t matter the city. Easiest work to get it care assistant or support worker. You can also check quora or student rooms to get specific replies from graduates of the university. Check YouTube as well, just research. However note that one’s experience may defer from yours.

3) I have been asked to make a deposit of 3kp but I intend to make 6kp out of the total 9450p, How does this move help me? Deposit amount doesn’t matter. If you pay £6k, they will simply deduct it from the £9450. Deposit amount is just to secure your place and apply for visa, doesn’t mean you can’t pay more or in full. (All still refundable in terms of visa denial). It only helps to reduce the amount you have to show on your statement, shikena

4) Do I need a car, or should I just forget about it? You don’t need a car in the UK. This shows that you have barely made any research about the country. U.K. has one of the best transport networks in the world. If you miss train, catch bus. If you miss bus, rent bicycle (eg mobike) dey go. You can easily even walk to your destination. Having car is like luxury in the U.K. As a student, that shouldn’t be your main concern. When you get residency, you can start thinking in that direction

5) Can I do small buying and send down to Nigeria for sale? Tobexin can help you with this.

6) Since it's my first time traveling, will I have issues with a virgin passport? You’re not the first person applying for visa with a virgin passport. In terms of student visa, that doesn’t count if you meet all requirements & show that you’re a genuine student. You only worry about virgin passport if you’re going for visit visa.

7) How Marketable is this course in UK?. It’s under the medical field, you know the rest....

Please I have some other questions as I intend to start paying school fees this week, but kindly put me through on this ones first. Thanks all the gurus in the house. I am expecting your responses.

Cc Justwise, etc.

Best Regards
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Skymoore1004: 12:36am On May 10, 2020
Yes you can work whilst studying.
You’re allowed 20 hours a week.

Paying off tuition & still have money for expenses will be extremely tight for you.
Say you’re making £10 per hour.
That’s £200 per week & £800 per month.
National insurance will still take like £60 or so (not sure)?
Do you think it’s possible to pay tuition with this? Nah.

However you can work more than 20 hours at your own risk. It’s not recommended but desperation calls for desperate moves. If you’re after residency, then make sure you don’t breach that 20 hours. It might affect you after.

I will say having at least 80% of your tuition if possible. If you don’t have the money now, kindly defer till January or May. If you can get funding from friends & family, then that’s perfect.

Regardless of which path you take, all the best.

P:S- it’s not easy to pay tuition via work. E GO PAIN YOU EH. After hard shifts & work, you will carry a percentage of your money & pay school, damn. grin. The worst is when they keep sending you payment reminders, you will just feel harassed grin sad
umaga1991:
Brothers and sisters in the house. I have a small question to ask and please I need answers.

I appreciate your answers. Thanks

Tobexin:
you nailed it here bro! I don’t see the hype concerning the Nursing of a thing. It is not a job one can just opt in without having passion for it. I have seen so many people that have backed out from practicing nursing in Uk. You work 12hrs shifts which isn’t easy and one is not paid handsomely well. A college dropout who serves as a support worker or carer could take home the same rates paid to a band 5 nurse. I know of a support worker who is a college dropout that earns close to £27000 per annum while the minimum pay for a band 5 nurse working with NHS is £24000.
Being a Nurse you have to be accurate and be good with document keeping and making of mistakes could lead you too doom least I forget there are thousand of nurses facing court cases in Uk.

No offence but don’t start this Canada thing here please.

We’ve already highlighted about Msc Management in U.K. (scroll up).

Sorting for job in Canada is the same as being in Nigeria and sorting for work there. Applying from the U.K. doesn’t change anything because your nationality doesn’t change & you will still need work visa to be processed for you.

Being in the U.K. will not increase your chances of getting a job in Canada than someone in Nigeria or anywhere else. Same process.

It’s a good idea but don’t rely on spending millions for Msc management because of job in Canada after. They’re millions of management graduates in Canada too

Incase, you want info about Canada, kindly visit the Canada thread cheesy.

Thank you
Mikeval001:
What would you say about doing MSc in Management in UK and sorting for job in Canada?

Do you think it's a nice idea?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Skymoore1004: 8:37pm On May 09, 2020
I totally agree with you. I was shocked for that mechanical guy to consider doing Bsc on top nursing. Go to U.K. and see same mechanical graduates packing pounds. Most of them even do PhD and become lecturers.

Nairaland guys have made it seem like once you do nursing or IT, gbam job and PR will fall on you.

They don’t know it’s easier said than done.
I get guys for UK doing nursing and they’ve all said it’s not beans. One even dropped out because he couldn’t cope. Oyibo nursing is not like Nigerian nursing where you just do anyhow and get licence.

Yes, you’ve got good chances of getting a job no doubt. But of what use is it to practice in a field that you have no joy for?

Once you remember your next shift, you go begin dey frown. You will be walking on egg shells before they say you’ve done something wrong. You have to do everything 100 accurate, no chance of “I didn’t know or I thought”.

Nursing is only if you have great passion for it. As per you’ve worked in the field and you just love the responsibilities that comes with it. My friend in Bradford got barred from practising and family of the man is trying to get him locked (although he’s been trying to resolve it). What did he do? He slept on night duty and a patient died. Oga did not hear emergency buzzer and before he realised what was happening, patient don die.
Another issue was that he gave that patient his tablet when he was eating dinner but did not check to see he took it immediately. If nah for Nigeria, he will go Scott free because we don’t take certain things serious here. Now he cannot work at all. DBS has barred on it. He cannot even come back to Nigeria because he’s currently under investigation. That’s it o, money wey he spend on top education don go. He cannot even get a proper job in any sector because he either needs police report or work reference or DBS. Life is now a rollercoaster for him

Please I’m not saying no one should do nursing, I’m only saying you should do it for the passion. People’s lives are in your hands.
JadioNG:
I noticed everyone wants a PR... tho it’s good but don’t forget Nigeria is sweet oh. If you know you know.

Did you all think outside the box ? Engineering student switching to Nursing. Everyone giving advice for students not wasting their money to study management courses but rather go for IT and Health courses as you forgot all ranges to you ability and passion. Skymoore said that tho.

Forget about IT and health, people are making it in other fields too. Best advice is know what you’re doing and get the best out of it.

The white are not so dumb so they know what they’re offering is needed and if you got the required skills you will get what you want.

No one will help you. You can only help yourself. So do what you want to do. Many people have gone for the IT or health courses and didn’t graduate. Some graduated and didn’t get the job to file for PR.

So do what’s best for you.

Enjoy.
