I applied to the school, but they are requesting that I complete a portfolio demonstrating 800+ hours of health related practice.

Pls I really don't understand how to go about it, can any explain how to go about writing the portfolio.

Maybe I'll still call them. Consistency when it comes to issues like that should just be sacrosanct. Information is needed for adequate planning and when it is wrong,
it can ruin plans. Teesside have a lot of two-year programs that international students are eligible for.

I totally understand how you feel. A lot of these UK schools are not consistent information-wise. I guess its because they dont employ more administrative staff.There are times I would have loved to talk to a program I'm trying to talk to directly but find out it is impossible. You can only communicate with the admissions committee or maybe international students office. It is contrary to my experience when applying to US or Canadian schools. For example, I applied to Teesside University and got the admission. Before applying, I read on the website that it is a 2-year program and tuition is £7,500 per year. I decided to apply because of that and also knew I could get their £2k scholarship. On getting the admission letter, so much generic and ambiguous information. It was stated that fees is £13k per year. I decided to send and email, and after weeks of not getting a reply, I finally got one that my program(MSc Sport Physiotherapy Studies)
is a one-year program and tuition is 13k. Replied the mail immediately to inform them that it is contrary to what is on my admission letter and till now no reply again. I guess they receive a lot of emails but their inconsistency is just a turn off. P.S. Up till now, it is still stated o their website that the program runs for two years

You have to make an application first, in your application attach a letter explaining your work experience relating to the course you are applying for. Work experience helps when grade did not meet the standard, give it a try as you got nothing to lose.

Apply to Birmingham City University. Emphasize on your work experience in project management in your Personal statement that you are very much capable to study project management. Include your project management experience in your the work experience section. Your workplace should also write a strong reccomendation letter too. You will definitely get admitted if you follow this guideline.

School fees is 12800. Because of your grade, you cant get any scholarship discount which are given to first class and 21.. So you will huzzle for the remaining 2800 pounds.

Good morning my People. I have been following since day 1 and I wanted to be certain of things before I ask. I have been admitted to study "Biomedical Science" in "Chester University" and "Sheffield Hallam University". 1) Is That University a good one? No offence bro, but did you not check this before applying? You said you’re tempted to go for the uni, so there must be a drive behind it. Chester and the rest are all under the same category, so it’s left for you to standout with excellent result.

2) How is Chester in terms of student Job and life generally? This is usually on the university’s website under “student life”. There’s job everywhere in the U.K., doesn’t matter the city. Easiest work to get it care assistant or support worker. You can also check quora or student rooms to get specific replies from graduates of the university. Check YouTube as well, just research. However note that one’s experience may defer from yours.

3) I have been asked to make a deposit of 3kp but I intend to make 6kp out of the total 9450p, How does this move help me? Deposit amount doesn’t matter. If you pay £6k, they will simply deduct it from the £9450. Deposit amount is just to secure your place and apply for visa, doesn’t mean you can’t pay more or in full. (All still refundable in terms of visa denial). It only helps to reduce the amount you have to show on your statement, shikena

4) Do I need a car, or should I just forget about it? You don’t need a car in the UK. This shows that you have barely made any research about the country. U.K. has one of the best transport networks in the world. If you miss train, catch bus. If you miss bus, rent bicycle (eg mobike) dey go. You can easily even walk to your destination. Having car is like luxury in the U.K. As a student, that shouldn’t be your main concern. When you get residency, you can start thinking in that direction

5) Can I do small buying and send down to Nigeria for sale? Tobexin can help you with this.

6) Since it's my first time traveling, will I have issues with a virgin passport? You’re not the first person applying for visa with a virgin passport. In terms of student visa, that doesn’t count if you meet all requirements & show that you’re a genuine student. You only worry about virgin passport if you’re going for visit visa.

7) How Marketable is this course in UK?. It’s under the medical field, you know the rest....

I got an admission in RGU Scotland, my tuition is around 5m, due to some issues, I only have 3m for the tuition. I was asked to pay 34% initial dep, and my fees can be paid installmentaly. Now my question is, can I work while studying and complete the remaining fees.

you nailed it here bro! I don’t see the hype concerning the Nursing of a thing. It is not a job one can just opt in without having passion for it. I have seen so many people that have backed out from practicing nursing in Uk. You work 12hrs shifts which isn’t easy and one is not paid handsomely well. A college dropout who serves as a support worker or carer could take home the same rates paid to a band 5 nurse. I know of a support worker who is a college dropout that earns close to £27000 per annum while the minimum pay for a band 5 nurse working with NHS is £24000.
Being a Nurse you have to be accurate and be good with document keeping and making of mistakes could lead you too doom least I forget there are thousand of nurses facing court cases in Uk.

I noticed everyone wants a PR... tho it’s good but don’t forget Nigeria is sweet oh. If you know you know.

Did you all think outside the box ? Engineering student switching to Nursing. Everyone giving advice for students not wasting their money to study management courses but rather go for IT and Health courses as you forgot all ranges to you ability and passion. Skymoore said that tho.

Forget about IT and health, people are making it in other fields too. Best advice is know what you’re doing and get the best out of it.

The white are not so dumb so they know what they’re offering is needed and if you got the required skills you will get what you want.

No one will help you. You can only help yourself. So do what you want to do. Many people have gone for the IT or health courses and didn’t graduate. Some graduated and didn’t get the job to file for PR.

So do what’s best for you.
