Oga which one you dey sef? I doubt anyone here can start laying out the advantages and disadvantages of the long list below. The main question is, which one can you do? Which one do you think you’re most interested in? This one that you’re a fresh graduate with probably poor idea of what you actually what to do in future, I will say take your time to analyse each of the modules in these various courses. That way you can narrow down which ones you think you can excel best in. You should check your strength and weaknesses too, while narrowing down. There’s no engineering programme that’s not marketable, if you excel well and know exactly what you’re doing. Number 2: getting a scholarship mostly depends on your BSc CGPA, essay (if required), strong IELTS score (if applicable), good level of work experience (if applicable) etc. It’s rare to get 100% scholarship from U.K. universities, because they need your money las las. Partial scholarship is available but it’s not granted automatically (except for alumnus of certain universities offering automatic 50% off). Usually, you have to apply for it and pray to your Chi. Number 3: Yes ooo, for the 100th time my brother yes. You can work 20 hours a week and full time during the holidays. If you check few pages before, someone broke it down better. Living expenses can be sustained with part time work depending on the city or area of residence. All The Best Ikjosh04: |
Yup, it’s a technical problem. Even the applicant portal too gsk4reality: |
High time they call the government out on the PSV!! It’s taking too long to be approved. A release issued by the group states, “The government’s proposal for a new two-year post-study work (PSW) visa was very warmly welcomed by the sector and brings us in line with many of our international competitors. However, the proposal is yet to be confirmed in immigration rules and is creating uncertainty for students concerned about eligibility and deliverability. It is also leading to a lack of awareness of its benefits, which could result in fewer students choosing the UK as a study destination.” Students should be able to apply for a visa six months before their actual course start date rather than three months. With universities considering starting courses remotely in September 2020 with a return to campus as soon as possible thereafter, students face the prospect of having to apply for visas that could be refused after they have actually started their course (e.g. if international travel restrictions continue until January and students cannot attend physically until then),” it points out. https://m.timesofindia.com/world/uk/top-uk-universities-call-for-reforms-in-student-visa-system-to-make-it-a-more-attractive-study-destination/amp_articleshow/75881404.cms

So google did not give you the answer? Previous threads did not give you the answer too? You probably have poor research skills. Anyway sorry ma no vex, Happy Ramadan Kareem! Tolextonia: |
Anyone can tell me about Huddersfield? Anyone can tell me about Bournemouth? Anyone can tell me about Sheffield? Anyone can tell me about Oxford? Anyone going to Togo? Cotonu nko? Una no go read previous threads to read answers on these exact questions, you will just jump and pass to ask your own. Take time and read from page 1 or previous part 3. You will find an exact answer or something very similar to your question. Especially Sheffield to be specific. At least several people have talked about life in Sheffield at different times. Stop waiting to be spoon fed all the time. |
Mama this your talk no correct o. My friend & newly married wife applied for visa together and left in January. Just have enough money in your statement with marriage documents etc. mamacajah: |
Yes. Can do that at Apple store or CEX or Musicmaggie or Mazumamobile or Network Companies (02 etc) or road side phone stores owned by Indians, Pakistans. However best is selling it on gumtree or facebook marketplace or eBay, then adding cash and buying the one you want. The bolded wont really offer you any good value as to what you will get from private sale. Iphone 8 that you can get say £250, they will value it at £120. Mikeval001: |
Who even need your money sef ![]() mattfeuter: |
Nothing wike no go see for rivers. You dey go Cambridge like this? ![]() toyclicks: |
Is like this my friend applied to many universities o. I have read up to 6 or 7 universities from your timeline o . BTGOF you will choose the best at the end ![]() Aprokodaughter: |
I love this question . Very important Hubbysluv: |
Still need this? |
I have actually but keeping it on the low, while I reason other options too Zabiboy: |
This may sound mean but with only 30%, I will feel very sorry for you if you go ahead. There’s no kind of 20 hours work per week or even full time during holiday, that will cover the remaining 70% and your living expenses. Remember you’re also talking about going in this CONVID19 period where there’re job losses everywhere? It’s not like before when you arrive and get NIN, you will go and register with one agency that will start sending you shifts. As it is now, you’re looking at not getting a job until say a month or two after your course start date. Before you know, you will start falling behind payments and your uni will start bombarding your email with payment notices/remainders You will find yourself being forced to work more hours ........which will breach the conditions of your visa and come back to hunt you when you apply for other visas or ILR/PR etc. You might end up overworking yourself and coming out with PASS, because you will barely have time for study or visit the library. On top of the pass sef, you may not have any relevant work experience in your area of studies (because the easiest works to get are either care or security or restaurant etc) or develop any relevant skills to help in your pursuit of tier 2. My dear, who has done who now?. All that suffer for nothing. See my brother or sister, no go do pass yourself. I was in your shoes 2018 but I decided not to take such risks. It’s not worth it. It’s better to have 70% ready than only 30%. My opinion though... all the best. zaynabola: |
No, she asked previously with the same account. Did not create another one to derail the thread. You’re misunderstanding but it’s okay. All cool now Aprokodaughter:

Hosey sef has keep quiet about the whole thing. Why are you people still dragging on it? It’s like it’s only Oga Justwise that can stop this. Cc:Justwise assist please |
Who are you referring to? No one created a new account here ![]() Aprokodaughter: |
Okay people of God, let’s wrap it up please. Both Laajiblik and Hosey were right in their own perspectives. IELTS is not a waste of money if you can afford it, as you can use it for other purposes aside U.K. visa. It aids it securing scholarships in both the U.K. and other countries. It also aids in certain job applications too (if you’re applying to big international organisations where adequate English proficiency is a requirement). However if you’re only interested in securing an admission and processing your U.K. visa, then you should rather use an alternative which can be WAEC or NECO or Letter of Studies in English. From Hosey’s point of view, it will be a waste of almost 100k if you can get going with the substitutes but still decide to write it for the same exact purpose. It’s okay, we’ve all gotten your various points. A whole page has been derailed with this topic but let’s move on. Happy Sunday people |
@hosey & laajiblik is okay guys ![]()

Not everyone can be saved o . No be everyone get relevant work experience but you’re right. It’s better to try for the Msc first & see what you can be offered, than conclude for PGD/TopUp hosey: |
Well welcome to Nairaland, you will get used to it eh? Just jump past the “arguments” as you call it & learn what you can. This is an open forum Tolextonia: |
Please can you put a screenshot of your offer? Thought you said £5500 before? You can remove your details. So you can be guided better. I doubt tuition for the whole programme is £5500 or £6000. That’s for 1st year from my own knowledge sha anthonanik:

Congratulations For other aspirants, Roehampton also accepts HND for MBA if you have a good work experience. Lincoln University and Solent too. Tolextonia: |
Yes many but not all U.K. universities accept nothing less than C6 but you must submit your Original WAEC certificate and make sure it tally’s with your date of birth to avoid any problems. Some universities also ask for just scratch card but it’s time consuming (to get offer). So just upload your WAEC certificate if available. P:S : Result should not be too old, else you will need letter of studies in English to back it up Kcivskod: |
30k? Jesus! It’s cheaper yes but shouldn’t cost that much haba. Letter oh, no be say na exam you dey write. Anyway ask your university if they can accept the letter from your uni, if yes, you can go ahead. Your Neco won’t work sorry. Only option now is IELTS & Certificate of Studies in English from your university. You can also ask your university if they offer English test. I know Roehampton does for about 60k or so, can’t remember. If you can afford IELTS, just write it bro. Can still use it for other purposes All the best anthonanik: |
