Not every one enjoys a better standard than us. That only applies to the highly or moderate educated Americans. Poor and non college educated Americans have poor standard of living. Many Nigerians who go and are unable to work with their certificates have really tough lives. I know some people (graduates from Nigeria ) that do 2 to 3 jobs just to survive. One told me, 4 of them rented a self contain apartment, because the monthly rent for a self contains is as expensive as a yearly rent in a 3 bedroom apartment in a suburb in Lagos.

I lived in the UK for 10 years, I agree i think only when you think carefully and deeply would you appreciate some countries and some ways of life. Here in the UK, I found out that there are only 2 achievements the average man can achieve. The first is getting a Mortgage and the second is passing your driving test .

I couldnt tell how many of my friends celebrated these two major achievements year in year out

After 11 years in the Uk, i decided it was time to call it quit.

don't mind him, let him keep on deceiving himself. My family member that relocated there January 2018 gladly told us America is a mini Heaven. He is there with his with wife working. Within that same year bought a big car and by December 2018, sent money to every of their siblings and parents. Just with a little legitimate job! They have told me much advantages enjoyed in the US as long as you are law abiding.

I agree with the first half of your statement.. BUT for good quality of life countries like Australia and most EU countries (i.e. UK, Germany, Portugal) are far better than America.
You can be homeless in America in old age but in the EU, it’s damn near impossible. The government cares for the weak and elderly whether or not you've worked a day in your life.

Is there no more opportunities in the UK?
Is UK now having economic, security, poverty challenges ?

I feel all the poster is trying to say is this; Many people still live good in Nigeria irrespective of the gloom and vices here.

My sister in the UK is a lecturer but doesnt live larger than those here in Nigeria. The life according to her is tougher and stricter if there is anyword like that. That doesnt mean the UK is bad. Life is more relaxed here but the security and infrastructure especially roads here is something else. Electricity and borehole can be covered with solar but you will have to contain with many third world problems.

Africans have to accept at some point that their continent is no match for the West or the East. Not even close, The UK is light years ahead of Africa.

It's not just northern Nigeria. Many regions marry young, especially in East and North Africa, the Far East, India/Pakistan, etc. Even in the US and the EU, 13 or 14 year olds; especially women; can and do marry with parental or public authority consent. Maturity can come at any time. It depends on the individual. One thing is true, I noticed that females in the North tend to mature emotionally much faster than those in the South. It's the same with rural Vs urban differences in maturity. It's because we force females to remain mentally immature by keeping them in schools that encourage immaturity.
