Nigeria is hugely gifted with sites and occasions of interest that would thrill the world of tourism if Nigeria invested.

The Osu Osogbo festival is gaining world interest. Every year, pilgrimage to the place grows.

Nigeria has hundreds of kings, palaces and kingdoms that have amazingly survived to present day but are shadows of thire former glory. They are potential gold. Yet the youths of Nigeria would foolishly like these abolished.

Successive governments after OBJ have not been serious with governance( aside Yaradua), even though OBJ was not perfect in governance but in terms of growing and promoting Nigeria to the outside world, he remains one of the best.

During his 8 year tenure, Nigeria hosted FIFA youth world cup, Ghana/Nigeria AFCON, COJA games for all Africa, I also remember watching Nigeria advertised on CNN for years during his tenure same way Turkey and other countries advertise on CNN these days.

Now ask yourself can Nigeria even host any football worldcup or even AFCON?

Governance has deteriorated so bad that even the present government cannot even open their mouth to say they want to bid to host any world competition,

is it the security of guest nations they want to guaranty when they have not done that for their own citizens? Then how do you want tourists to visit the country?
Nigeria can’t host AFCON. Bandits would sabotage it.

Nigeria has sites worth visiting, natural and artificial, but our government do not prioritize tourism because they cannot sell millions of barrels of it everyday.

Like Rwanda, our government is doing quite prolific in creating an enabling business environment for investors in the opposite direction.

Instead of gaining visits, we are gaining exits. The citizens are exiting en-masses, establishment we never thought would exit Nigeria have successfully dashed our hope like a freshly picked egg from the poultry on a marble finished floor.

Like Tensazangetsu20 would say, You can never lose betting against Nigeria. That being said, even if Bishop Benson Idahosa should resurrect today with a message from God saying that, Nigeria would be better, do not believe it.
It does but it pales compared to its regional rivals not to talk of international ones. North Africa smokes the rest of Africa in tourism. Those countries have far better reputations, more iconic attractions etc

African countries particularly Nigeria suck balls when it comes to tourism. Nigeria is at the lower end of African countries taking in tourism. Not only does Africa not have basic amenities like stable power, good roads etc. there isn’t really any tourist infrastructure and whatever tourist attractions Africa has pales compared to its rivals. Europe, Asia and Pacific as well North America kill Africa in terms of tourism. Even Latin America receives way more. Spain on its own has more tourist arrivals than Africa combined.

PM of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte riding on his bike to the office. Do you want to know more? The Netherlands GDP stood at $1.037 trillion at the end of 2022. The Netherlands unemployment rate was at 3.54% at the end of 2022. They don't even buy bicycles for members of their parliament nor the President's wife, not to talk of cars, infact, there is nothing like the office of the first lady. There is a reason why they say what an elder sees sitting down, a child cannot see from a tree. It does not mean the elders are right all the time, it means that some of the things that get you excited also got them excited at one stage in their life, but one needs to calm down to ensure you do not derail.

Now they will be remembered for sending the nation back by another 20 years. Una weldone
They clearly couldn’t see or envision well enough to a create a safe, stable and prosperous country 😂😂

If you think African youths are respectful perhaps you will need to visit Asian countries.

Start from Japan.

All these and everyother thing you have written so far are all excuses and further proves the point that the elders before you did a far better job than you
So Tinubu did a good job?

Buhari did a good job?😂😂

Your delusional

Fuel scarcity is worse than ever

Naira is more devalued than ever. As of writing
$1 is 1641 NGN
£1 is 2151 NGN

The country’s GDP has halved since the last brainless elder politician was replaced by another brainless elder politician and you’re saying they did a good job? Nothing about Nigeria or Africa suggests anything about a good job being done. The continent is a lost cause

Inflation is extremely high

The country is finished.

If the elders did a good job, Nigerians wouldn’t have taken the streets not quite a month ago.

And you’re saying what I am making is an excuse?

The difference between Japanese and generally people in other developed countries is that they don’t mindlessly obey their elders like Africans do. Nobody overdoes that whole ‘respect your elders’ more than Africans. In that part of the world, everyone is equal and the elders are fully accountable for their actions. But I can’t say the same for Africa. This whole idea of ‘respecting elders’ and ‘not questioning them’ what has it done for Africa?

You really need to brush up on African politics because your clueless.

I wish you well.

By the grace of God, you too will grow old one day, perhaps the next generation will also blame you and then the cycle continues.

What developed countries have done is to take responsibility for their situation and ask themselves how can we build on what was done by those before us, not how to destroy what was done because we think they could have done more.

The only countries that believe it is okay to destroy their countries are primarily developing nations with negative mindset.

So like I already said, I wish you well.

By the grace of God, you too will grow old one day, perhaps the next generation will also blame you and then the cycle continues.
The difference is that in developed countries, they are far more egalitarian. Everybody is accorded the same level of respect regardless of age, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender or even sexual orientation. Everyone is treated the same and the elders don’t try and act superior and wiser compared to the youth. The youth are able to put the elders in their place. One problem with African countries is the over-respecting of elders. Africans have given too much power to a generation of people. The elders have formed and oligarchy. Nigeria is an oligarchy. Every African country is like that. Elders control all the wreath and power and use that to oppress the masses. Look at what Tinubu did during END SARS. Nigeria was ruled by old men whom were dictators.

Until the youth of Africa are able to put the elders in their place. Africa will never moved forward as a continent.

And this has nothing to do with blame, this is merely an observation. You’re the one that’s ignoring my points.

You’re ignoring that pretty much every social, political, economic etc problems that exist in this continent is as a result of the elders whether that is corruption, tribalism, insecurity, poverty etc.

How is it the youth’s that their elders of leaders/politicians have mismanaged the country’s resources?

The youth are not to blame for the bad roads, unstable
power, insecurity, lack of vibrant industries, undeveloped infrastructure and pretty much any other problem Africa has. That is the people in charge of the country (the elders). That’s what happens when the elites and politicians (elders) use the funds rather than investing it into the economy and so for the betterment of the people. They use it to fund their extravagant lifestyles.

Tinubu halved Nigeria’s GDP and has already brought on myriad of problems for the country and he’s barely done a year in office.

You can be ignorant and deceitful all you want but it’s not going to change the fact that Boomers and the elders in general destroyed the country and Africa as a whole.

All the pictures of kidnappers we see are only Gen-z, the oloshos are also Gen-Z, yahoo yahoo, ritualist, murderers are also Genz. Just look at the news this week.

Now compare that to most elders. Some of the elders are farmers in villages trying to provide food for lazy ass like you.
Those problems are there because of the elders inability to A) raise their kids properly and B) provide enough opportunities for them. The elders have failed the country. Bruh they are still recovering Abacha’s looted funds from Switzerland.

African elders amuse me the most because ultimately they control all the wealth and power in the country. Almost all of the politicians, judges, lawyers etc and generally the elite that you find in Africa are old people. The elders are behind all the decision making and the political, economic etc decisions of the country. They claim to be so wise but this ‘wisdom’ of theirs is never really applied into African politics, why? Why can’t they envision a country that is better for their people if truly what an elder sees is what a youth cannot see even when climbing to the top of a tree. What a joke. Look at what the elders did to the continent.
The money that African politicians use to fund their extravagant lifestyle could have been invested for the betterment of the people. All these convoys that you see of of all these elders aswell as pretty much any of their luxuries. It’s not their own. It belongs to the people. They have stolen. You’re defending criminals who loot all of the wealth of the country and take it abroad. Your crazy. All the people that have stolen the country’s wealth
African Elders are doing far worse than the youth. They are behind all of the country’s problems. Look at what Jagabanu and Buhari have done to the country.

Nobody is talking about America. You just don’t want to accept that Latin America is far more developed than Africa and it’s not close. The US is overrated. Canada, NZ, Australia and Western Europe are far better options. America is just better for making money but when you compare the health be it physical or mental to it’s peer nations. The US is in a terrible situation. Socially, the US is quite far behind the modern world. Many Americans are in Latin America.

5 fastest growing latin american countries

1. Montserrat[a] 7.40 2011 est.
2 Panama 5.40 2017 est.
3 Nicaragua 4.90 2017 est.
4 Honduras 4.80 2017 est.
5 Dominican Republic 4.60 2017 est.

5 Fastest growing economies in Africa

Niger (11.2%),
Senegal (8.2%),
Libya (7.9%),
Rwanda (7.2%),
Cote d’Ivoire (6.8%),
African economies are growing because they are undeveloped. Latin America is a middle-income region. Even the poorest Latin American countries have it far better than the average African. Africa is way way behind Latin America. Latin America is nowhere the wealth of the developed countries but its also nowhere as undeveloped as Africa.

Your making yourself look like a darn fool. You comparing Africa to a continent that actually produce, manufactures and exports high-end and finished goods like cars, aeroplanes etc. There is far more potential and opportunities in Latin America. That's why this US and the West is spending far more in Latin America compared to Africa. Latin America is pretty darn sophisticated. Granted not western level of sophisticated but still far far more sophisticated than Africa. Africans produce nothing of value, the economy is geared around resource attraction.
